Angie is incredible. A haircut should be a personalized experience and Angie goes to the next level. She listens and we collaborate. It’s not a point at a picture and approximate a cut, typical barber shop experience. She really wants to work with you and her passion for her craft is palpable. And the banter can’t be beaten! This is a one-of-a-kind haircut experience and Angie’s cuts set me up for long spells away from New York City. 10/10

Angie is the best of the best! After only a few visits, she has made me feel like family and it certainly doesn't hurt that her work is incredible. She really knows how to give the client exactly what they need--the cuts are exceptional, imbued with style, personality and individuality. Truly can't see myself going anywhere else for a cut!

Been in NYC for almost 4 years and Angie was the first and only person to cut my hair. Not only is her service exceptional, cuts on point, great environment and atmosphere, Angie is just a wonderful person to be around. I have been going to Angie for 3+ years and can't imagine anyone else touching my hair. She is incredibly talented and experienced, and I'm always happy with the finished product whether it's my usual cut or something new. I also have to shoutout John for keeping my skin glowing. He is a master esthetician, and his product knowledge is endless. The environment at highlo is warm, inclusive, and always fun. Their space is beautifully designed and private. Getting a treatment at here feels like visiting a friend's chic home. The team take their work seriously, but it's never stuffy, and they have built an incredible community around the shop. I used to hate getting haircuts. Hate. My hair always grew out in a weird way and ended up being a floppy mess. But in 2018, I met Angie, and everything changed. Angie makes you feel empowered and confident not just in the way you look but in the way you live your life. Her knowledge of products and practices in hair and skin maintenance are also unparalleled. The environment is calming and friendly, and the entire experience is fantastic from start to finish. Highlo has become a safe haven for me, and I can't recommend Angie enough.

I've been going to Angie for the last 3 years because she's fantastic. I get compliments all the time on my cuts. And I'm embarrassed to say that it wasn't until the age of 45 that I learned to how to correctly use a hairdryer to style my hair. That's all thanks to Angie. Not only does she give great cuts but she actually teaches you how to take care of your hair and how to style. Love the vibe of this place too.

I’m a big fan of highlo - they give great haircuts and facials, and always have a great vibe. Just when I thought highlo couldn’t get any better, Gio joined as a new barber - I like to wear my hair short with a nice fade so he is perfect for me! He can even do cool designs. Go to Gio for a 10/10 fade (and try a design!)

3 years ago I uprooted my life and moved to NYC for a promotion. It took me 6 months of first dates with barbers to find Angie and after my first cut I knew I had found the perfect match. Angie makes you comfortable, listens to your wants while giving her expert opinion, and has some of the best skills in the industry. Very shortly after finding Angie she shared that she was going to open her own business—enter Highlo. Highlo is an intimate and elevated space where everyone is welcome, able to express themselves, and receive bespoke service that fits their individual needs. I'd always had trouble describing what I wanted when I went to a barber but Angie just "got it" the first time she cut my hair and gave me the best haircut I'd ever had. I've never gone anywhere else since. She's also amazing at beard styling–I couldn't believe how good my pandemic beard looked after she trimmed and shaped it.

The cut is always excellent, and I have 100% confidence that the look will be exactly what I'm looking for, especially before a big event. I've lived in NYC for almost 15 years and have been in search of the perfect haircut since I first moved here. Ive tried barbers, I've tried salons. Ive gotten $20 haircuts and Ive gotten $300 haircuts. None compare to the quality of cut Angie provides every single time. On top of her talent she is delightful to be around.
