I have taken both my boys here for their first haircuts and still currently do. The online scheduling is very user friendly. We have had good experiences with all of the beauticians. They really do move fast considering how restless littles can be! The environment is catered to making kids feel welcome and comfortable. As I said we still continue to go here and recommend it for littles! Especially, Alijah, she is so sweet to our kids, patient, and gives honest feedback on what to do with our littles crazy hair.

We started coming here 3 years ago. It was the BEST experience ever and we continued to take our boys for every cut as a result. In the last 1 1/2 years, it's been consistently going down hill. Online booking issues, rushing the cut. (Took 8 mins of a 15 min time slot) It resulted in missed hairs and uneven lines on the neck and forehead. After a couple of somewhat unsavory experiences, I chalked it up to a coincidence. After this last one, I'm never going back.

Such a great experience! They were so quick and the whole time it was orientated around what made my son comfortable. Happy to return for the next haircut!

I have been to Hip Hip Hair-ay twice for my children and both times I was impressed. My oldest child has autism and neither time did they tell me the haircut I wanted to get wasn't possible. They are absolutely worth the money if you have squirmy little kids. Our stylist this time was Alijah and she did an amazing job on both of the kids hair!

My son is very picky about textures and sounds, so he really struggles when it’s time to use the electric shaver. However, the staff has always been incredibly patient with him and they are great at talking him through it. Because of their patience and kindness, it gets easier for him to relax each time. Bonus points for having fun chairs for the kiddos to sit in and for offering free lollipops and toys when the appointment is done!

First time visiting we had an awesome experience with our 2 year olds first haircut! Our stylist asked if he liked any particular show, picked his favorite chair, offered him a sucker (or a lot), and included him parts of his cut! Super friendly and understanding staff made the experience very memorable and enjoyable for all of us - a huge win for a toddler :) excited to go back in the future!

Wonderful staff, atmosphere, and kid-friendly vibe. My son "hates" getting his hair touched (3yrs old) but the staff here made him smile the whole time!

I’ll start by saying before today I had always had a great experience and always left happy for the past three years. Today was a whole different experience. We showed up early because we didn’t have anything else to do in that amount of time, didn’t think it was a big deal. Our appointment time came and the girl was clicking around on the computer, then proceeded to tell me that she moved some things around to squeeze us in- which I’m confused about because we had an appointment. Then made us feel rushed while my son was getting his hair cut and did a horrible job. Basically shaved his head and left bangs. I’m sad we won’t be back, the girl who normally cuts his hair always did a great job.

My son had his first haircut with Sierra at Hip Hip Hair-ay. The entire process was quick and easy. Sierra was friendly and great with kiddos. And of course, his hair looks great!

Our family always books with Sierra and each time we see her, she has such a great attitude. She’s the only stylist who always acknowledged us which is why we stuck with her and also because the kids always look great afterwards. I can’t wait to start getting my daughter’s hair done by her too!

Pretty busy place. Book in advance and don't be late; they don't have time to work you in. Sportsclips cuts children's hair and there isn't much wait time and they work you in if you are running a couple minutes late.

The stylists are always great with the kids here. They have fun chair options for younger ones such as police car, firetruck, airplanes. The older kids can play console/switch games while getting their hair cut. Super busy so make sure to book your appointment well in advance.

This place was great! We didn’t have any issues with the very short 5 minute grace period, as I made sure we got there 20 minutes early for this concern. Hair stylist Claudia took my daughter early as well. (I hope I can make this short grace period in the future. That looks to be the most prominent concern from other reviewers). Claudia did a great job with distracting my one-year-old daughter for her first haircut in a salon. It also helped that they had a TV with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on for her viewing. The pink airplane seat was also super cute, and she was equally distracted by playing with clips placed on the steering wheel. Her haircut ended up super cute. We will plan to return for her future haircuts!

Took our son for his first haircut today and he is 13 months old. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Sierra was so good with him and made sure he was comfortable with each tool she used. The shop is clean and kid friendly. I just love it here and we will 100% be bringing our son back and future kids!

Tried to get my 1yrs olds hair cut here.. Was told they were booked for the day... There was no one there. The place was spotless. I took him across the street to Sport Clips.

We have had two vastly different experiences at Hip Hip Hair-ay, the latter (and most recent) of which left us deciding to never return. I was initially recommended the studio for our daughters from my personal stylist, and our first tip was a great one. The location (the prior one across the street) was nice inside, the staff friendly, and the stylist we had too good care of our daughters while being conversational with both them and us. During their haircuts, we were asked if we wanted to give them layers or keep everything generally even, if we wanted small braids put in their hair after the cut was finished, and if they wanted a sparkly spray for their hair. For their prior haircut, we had gone to a much cheaper "quick cut" place and definitely regretted it, where as we felt our daughters had received quality cuts for the price at Hip Hip Hair-ay. Our recent trip, however, could not have been more different. After an initial greetings, I am honestly not sure if our stylist ever smiled once during her time with both of our daughters. Other than a quick question about how we wanted their hair cut, nothing else was asked. The stylist never inquired if we wanted their hair layered or not, and never asked about either braids nor spray. The only time she spoke to our daughters was when she was giving them commands on where to look, and there was no conversation with us either. When we did speak up to confirm our hopes for the cuts, the stylist's answers were quick and unemotional. Meanwhile, I watched as EVERY other child in the studio was treated far better. Every girl that came in walked out with part of their hair braided, and nearly everyone—even the boys—got sparkly spray. Sure, those are two small things in the grander scheme of things, but when you watch while every other child gets smiles, pleasentness, conversation, and offers of extras, and both of your children and treated like they're unwanted as customers, it really hurts, and affects you as a parent. As well, even thought we had asked (and had to reconfirm) that we wanted our daughters' hair to be the same length (as they're twins), our stylist seemed to take little care to do so. Much more importantly, she did an absolutely terrible job on their bangs, leaving them uneven and awkwardly layered. As a professional, she did a worse job than we typically do at home, and it seems ridiculous to have to fix our childrens' hair ourselves mere hours after getting them salon-level haircuts. I know we're all human. Every one of us have bad days at times, we have situations where we don't fully pay attention to or commit to the job that we're doing, or we're new in an environment or position and still learning the ropes. I can excuse any of those things, but not all three at one. Had our stylist been less skilled at the type of hair our daughters have, but made mistakes while being friendly and outgoing, I could understand. Had she been less of a people person but incredibly good at her job, that's something you can deal with. Had she simply forgotten to offer our daughters some extras and then apologize and make it up to them when she realized, no big deal. None of those were the case, though, and there was no part of our experience with this stylist that was positive. There are a few moments when I wondered if our treatment at the salon was in any way related to personal factors either on our parts or on our daughters' parts, but I also don't want to insinuate anything on that level that I don't have proof of. Still, the atmosphere in the studio that day when it came to our daughters compared to everyone else was just so radically different that I don't have an explanation for why it happened. Whatever the reason, so little care was giving to both of our children that neither of us have any desire to potentially put them into such a situation again in the future.

We love hip hip hair-ay! My son is so excited to get his haircut and although we generally don’t see the same hair dresser each time, we are always satisfied when we walk out the door! Thank you to all your friendly staff!

We love this place . It’s the only one close to us that services children. The only complaint I have is OMG it’s loud in there . It’s bad enough for the kids but , Kelly and Ciera are over the top with there unnecessary loudness. No wonder the children are so scared I would be to . Please STAFF try to be more mindful of your own voice and lower it us adults can here you perfect. Keep up the good work see ya soon.
