I went there for a haircut and the stylist had no idea how to handle a hair texture which was curly. She first gave a quote for blow dry after assessing my hair and half way through the haircut, she suddenly started straightening my hair and started cutting it very short. When I tried to explain that they should not go so low in length if the hair is temporarily straightened because when the hair curls back it will end up being extremely short. A good stylist will know this themselves. Instead of trying to understand my point , the stylist started getting very impatient and started making disrespectful comments about my hair texture. She even had the audacity to drop the ball and left half way. The owner never even tried to correct her when she left the haircut in the middle . Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. I would give a zero rating if possible because they not only made it extremely short but also left it half done. Now I need to wait for 6 months to a year for my hair to grow back , in order to fix . Ended up with with a horrible haircut that can not even be corrected. Clarifications to the most rude response received: —————————————————— Firstly, please mention that you started being disrespective when the customer only gave constructive feedbacks to drive the haircut in the desired manner. Secondly, you did not throw me out, I walked off after seeing your throw tantrum and exhibit obnoxious and unpleasant behaviors. Even if others reading your response were to believe you, they will not attempt to even visit a place that throws customers out for sharing feedback Thirdly, please mention that you dropped the haircut halfway only because you assumed that customers who share feedback might also not pay. You clearly mentioned that “I am leaving because you will not pay”. That only rang a bell in my head! “MAYBE YOU THROW A TANTRUM WITH EVERYONE AND NOT BEING PAID iS NOT NEW TO YOU ” Your very tone in your response speaks of your character, NiNa. I don’t have to explain more to other . If they will read other 1 star reviews, they will know that you have shown this behavior to many other customers. Finally , only a person filled by insecurities around being tagged as a “psycho” will readily call the other person “psycho” - which you proved in your response .

My daughter cried for 1 hr after hair cut here because the lady kept pulling the hair so much that her scalp is red now. I made appointment here based on reviews on Nextdoor but I’m so disappointed of this type of service. My daughter has prom night tomorrow and this has totally spoilt her mood. This is mistreatment and abuse to customers

To the rude comment I got from the very unprofessional owner of this salon. I am not the lady in question. Apparently you had chosen to turn her away, I on the other hand unfortunately had the displeasure of receiving your hairstylists terrible work. I left the salon with some sad excuse for layers and a style I did not ask for, and a hairstyles worth of money less in my pocket. I was a walk in, and communicated that all i wanted was an above shoulders length haircut with you and the hairstylist. Now befor you tell me that i should have communicated it further like you have with other customers that had left reviews, it is not my job to need to continually remind you of what I want. A simple haircut with a few inches off, left above shoulders length should not be hard to remember. If I didn't ask for layers, maybe don't give me them. From what I've seen through your reviews you hold yourself on a pretty high pedestal, with a great example of you feeling the need to gloat about your meaningless spot on some neighbourhood website ive fortunately never had the displeasure of hearing of. You also refuse criticism from anyone who gives it, Not only that but insulting past customers who are not pleased with your hairstylists hack jobs, and telling them they shouldnt have left a review if it was just going to be negative as if they dont deserve to voice their constructive criticism. This is not a respectable establishment at all. I have even had complaints from relatives of mine that they weren't allowed to just stand outside of the starbucks next door with their skateboards because you would shew them away over the intercom. All in all, this place is run by very disrespectful people, and by the way you handle the reviews you can add unprofessional as well. Have a nice day.

I had my haircut today along with my husband. Frankly speaking, my haircut was not bad and am satisfied with it. But my husband dint like his cut at all and i see that he is hugely disappointed so he honestly posted his review to let others know of their quality. But this owner replied in a rude way to the review and then when my husband responded to his comment, he flagged it as inappropriate. I am attaching screenshot of his comment and this shows how this people are running their businesses with only positive reviews and flagging negative reviews. (To the owner if you gonna delete or flag this i have all the proof and would definitely take action on that). Sorry google doesn’t show the images attached. I will comment my husband’s review.

I moved here 1 year ago searching for a new salon I got my fev one now.. This is my 3rd haircut from them. I did the highlight 1st time ,so wasn’t sure how it will look on my skin tone.. she helped me to pick the color… love it. I did a mistake about payment. They handled it so politely . Thank you for that .. did recommend before and will recommend😍

I specifically asked her not to touch the top part of my hair. I grew it out for a reason. I am not an outspoken person so it was very difficult to stop her as she did her work. At the end of the day I trust the hair stylist, but as she trimmed and trimmed, she paused once to ask if the length was good. I told her I wanted to keep it longer, she moved her fingers to the length I agreed to, then proceeded to ignore that measurement just to cut my hair into what she felt like. I am very displeased with this service and after one time coming here I will wholeheartedly tell you I will never come back. Happy Holidays, you ruined my Christmas photos.

Needed a trim on vacation & saw His and Hers Hair Bar through the window while getting my morning coffee at Starbucks. Made an appt on over the phone. To my delight, Mike and Nina were so welcoming and she did a wonderful job. A hearty recommendation to anyone who wants a great haircut or nails done. They have a fantastic shop, proper COVID-19 safety protocols, and a wide variety of services for a reasonable price!

I told them my hair was darker than the desired color. (Medium/light brown to a burnt orange) I know it'll likely be a bit more than the $75 on the website but I get there's and she has a brown color already mix and seems shocked I needed bleach, thinking for a moment then quoting me $200. Because it "takes a long time" my hair hardly has to be raised to get the desired affect, you could even use weak developer. They didn't ask me any questions before springing an extra $130 on me. I was only going because I wanted to help with service before they closed but that was no good. If they could have just been more transparent regarding bleaching costs on the website this could have been avoided.
