I was really looking forward to getting my brows laminated. I usually do beauty services downtown, but I thought I'd give Hobbs a try. My recent brow lamination experience was extremely disappointing - the woman (I forget her name, dark hair, 30s) clearly over-processed my brows, leaving them looking overly lifted, spiky, and almost 'frizzy,' with noticeable damage to the hairs, making them appear thin and brittle; the shape was also uneven, with some hairs sticking straight up in odd directions, completely ruining my natural brow look. I now have to spend extra time trying to tame them with brow gel, which is the opposite of the low-maintenance result I was hoping for. I would not recommend this salon and med spa to anyone. I will also add that I felt uncomfortable when I walked in. I was dressed casually and comfy. I wasn't wearing anything too exciting. I saw the two women behind the counter glance at me a few times when I was sitting on the sofa waiting for my service. I smiled. They both came off phony, and it was obvious they were looking at my attire. I didn't know I had to wear Gucci and Fendi to get my brows done. Steer clear of this salon. Snooty, non genuine feeling.

Over the course of about a year, I spent a large chunk of money at Hobbs Salon. I was initially supposed to be a client of Hannah. I think her name is. Pretty blonde woman - no complaints on her. But they put me with Savannah instead. Savannah was on her phone every time I was there, checking texts and sending things. I felt this was very unprofessional. She clearly needed to vent to someone because she would always complain about how she had no money because she spent it all on alcohol. I didn't really say much because it was none of my business. I was just there to get my hair done and relax. On several occasions, I smelled liquor on Savannah. It's like it was seeping out of her pores. I have a family member who struggles with alcoholism and I know that giving off a stench even though you may not be like wasted at that time is normal. I usually read my book or did work on my IPad while visiting the salon. Savannah put in an order for hair that she suggested for me. It didn't come in on time twice, and the miscommunication with that was pretty unprofessional. I recall walking in a few times, and my appointment wasn't in their system. I also feel it's disrespectful and assuming to call a woman "girl" or "baby," which often happened there. I have been to high-class salons in Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. Hobbs is NOT in that league. I finally complained to one of the receptionists at the front desk at one point. It never went any further. I don't know the owner, but I think she should consider looking into this. It's traditional for any business owner to reply to a negative review (to cover themselves and seem innocent) with a phrase such as, "I'm sorry, but we do not have anyone by that name in our client system." It's a very sneaky tactic. Don't be fooled. Ladies, gents, anyone, I don't recommend this salon.

Five stars for Sally, Licensed Aesthetician!! I previously had a really, really bad experience with an "experienced" Tulsa skin RN, and was hesitant to see anyone else about my skin, but decided to go in for a consultation with Sally after following her on Instagram for a while. I was immediately impressed! She's so knowledgeable and well-trained on all the products and services she offers (and she offers a lot!). She goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable, educated on everything, and just does the best treatments (and she's always on time!). She's SO great. I highly recommend her. I ALSO highly recommend the Viora-FR treatment she offers. It's been a game-changer for my hyperpigmentation and texture issues.

I went in to get my haircut and colored. I showed her the picture of my hair color that I wanted which was a light red. She didn't do the lightning process but assured me that it would turn out the color that I asked for. When she finished dying it it was dark dark red. So after advice and instructions from multiple coworkers she lightened it and corrected the color then started the cutting process. My hair was to be cut from 21 inches to just above my shoulders. I got there and started this process at 1:00 p.m. and when it hit 5:30, half of my head still had not been cut as she was sitting on a stool behind me cutting tiny sections at a time. When I told her that I had to leave to get my son from daycare because it was closing, another woman came to help. It turned into a very straight cut with no layering and when I straightened my hair after getting home, there were several chunks that were longer than the rest. If my hair parted even slightly different, one side had drastically longer chunks than the other side too. I paid $110 for my hair. Now, since I found out half way through the color process that the stylist had only been doing hair for a few months, i tried not to get worried with how much advice she asked others for. I did tip her $50 because she was so anxious by the end of it that her hands were shaking and I felt bad for her having so many issues with my hair. I didn't want her to get too discouraged. I will upload a picture of where it started and what I asked for vs what I got after almost 5 hours at the salon. I do mostly like how it turned out but the length of time that it took mixed with the quality of the cut was rough. After spending all day there I don't want to have to come back for it to be fixed again later. She was very kind about it, everyone in the salon was very kind about it. I had just asked when I called to make the appointment if the stylist was good with transitioning dark hair to copper red colors and short haircuts specifically and was assured that it wasn't an issue. One of the other stylists told me to come back on Saturday and that they could fix it since we ran out of time and they aren't even open on Saturdays according to their business page. I really don't like to complain but as a single mom, it takes a lot for me to spend that much money on self-care and I really don't want to have it fixed after already putting so much time and money into it.

I’ve only been once but they must have forgotten to check me in so I waited so long, they missed my appointment and I had to be somewhere else and they had someone coming in so I need to reschedule and haven’t yet! The mimosa I had while waiting was enjoyable as is the environment. I’m looking forward to a treatment!

Great customer service experience throughout. Abi did my curly haircut, and she is clearly very knowledgeable. Seems like a lot of other clients were getting colored while I was there.

Absolutely love Hobbs Salon and Med Spa! I have gone for close to 4 years now and never had a complaint. The place looks clean and great every time. The staff is so nice and always checking to see if I need anything throughout my entire appointment. I choose the newer stylists to give me some more learning experiences with my type of different hairstyles and colors and I also use the more experienced stylists. I’ve had Maddison (who does an amazing job despite the bad review someone else left), Haylee, and Savannah. My daughter gets her hair done at Hobbs as well and she loves Abi. I highly recommend Hobbs Salon and Med Spa. It’s wonderful to leave feeling and looking amazing!

Sally did absolute wonders for my skin during my bridal season!! She introduced me to hydrafacials, got me on a skin care routine and helped me feel so glowy and beautiful on my wedding day! Now I’m obsessed and going to continue to come and learn and improve my skin with Sally!

My wife had recommended coming to Hobbs because of her experience here. I came here for an appointment for Kybella with Andrea and couldn’t speak more highly of her. It can be a slightly intimating procedure but Andrea put any concerns or nervousness I had at ease. She was very professional, friendly, and experienced, so made the entire process as smooth as it could possibly be. If you are considering doing Kybella I would highly recommend going with Andrea.

I love this salon, it’s trendy , modern and very professional. They have great customer service, I walk in they immediately get me checked in and offer me a beverage. The staff is friendly and helpful. The stylist seem very knowledgeable of the services and products. My stylist is Savannah, since sitting in her chair my hair has improved drastically. It’s healthier, growing and glowing. The products they use are top of the line Some include : -Goldwell -KMS -Kerastase I definitely recommend! -Sylvia

Not all stylist are equally talented here, just because you pay well and good location beware of the ones they give the new ones to, the girl who did my hair cut it horribly, she took too much weight off now it looks awful. Curly hair isn’t for everyone. It won’t lay right cause she over used the thinning shears. Awful: won’t be back. I have extensions uou can’t cut my normal hair differently, looks awful

The worst haircut I’ve ever received. Maddison is horrible at haircuts, don’t let her touch the thinning shears. It’s been 2 months and I’m still crying. She butchered my hair so much it won’t fix at all, all the weight is gone. My hair is curly and she didn’t know how to manage it. Horrible!!!!!

I booked an appointment online not knowing anything about this salon and it was a wonderful experience. The salon looks sleek and they were right on time with my appointment, no issues at all! I came here because I was in desperate need of a color correction/balayage after 2 years of growing my hair out and having pink on the ends of my hair. Kaitlyn Hyek did my hair and she is great; she talked me through the entire process allowing me to feel comfortable and was honest about the expected outcome of my hair. Expect to spend $300+ for a full balayage.
