It’s taking me a little to write this review but I had a great experience with Holistic Health Associates in Frederick! I talked to Julie to schedule a last minute appointment for a pregnancy induction and she was super accommodating! I had two appointments and two days after the second one I went into labor and was able to avoid the Pitocin! The appointments themselves were great too, Caitlin was super friendly and excellent at her job! The room was cozy and relaxing! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful facility. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. I had a neck and upper back massage by Ron. He was very professional, listened to what I needed and did an amazing job on all the problem areas. I felt so relaxed during and felt wonderful after. I look forward to coming back for more massage therapy. Thank you so much 😊

I believe my practitioner was called Ron. My experience was exactly what I was hoping for. He listened but I also appreciated just letting it be quiet and very little talking. I’m neurodivergent so it really helped me relax. I plan a n coming back as soon as I can!

Yesterday I visited Holistic Health Associates for massage. I spoke with Lauren by telephone to arrange the appointment and again in person when I arrived . She was cordial, warm and very professional in giving me complete information. I had massage with Ron who listened to and treated my request for targeted areas of pain and tension. When I left, I knew I had been in the hands of a compassionate professional. I have made a second appointment.

Calming atmosphere, high sense of professionalism, and best of all, Frank’s treatment seemed to have helped me (though my problems aren’t completely cured). Slightly expensive, but worth it, I think.

I had met Ryan through an organization called Medipreneurs. When I realized I would be in Frederick, I called HHA to see if he might have an opening for me. He 'made' an opening so that we could finally meet in person and I could have my first acupuncture treatment. I am so grateful that he made time. I have had a great experience each time I come and have seen Kaitlyn, Priscilla and Kj. They have all been great and I got back each time asking what else they have because I am shocked by how amazing everything has been for my wellness.

Ryan has been such a great practitioner. He has been interested in discovering the root of my health concerns. Each time I come in he is attentive and caring; providing me a tailored treatment to my specific symptoms. I have made improvements with him in the short time I have see him, that I haven't been able to make with other acupuncturist. My energy is the best it has been in years , my physical stamina is improving every day and the pain is becoming less intense. Ryan truly care about his patients and them feeling their best. Thank you Ryan for your expertise, I am grateful.

Terrible experience! I was referred to HHA from a friend that suggested acupuncture to potentially help with my chronic pain. I had intake appointment that was extremely detailed and began acupuncture with Kaitlyn. She suggested that I come twice a week, which I did and she insisted I take Kudzu Chinese herbs several times a day because it helps with neck and upper back pain. I did express my concern about taking any type if medication or herbs since (as discussed in GREAT detail of intake) I am very sensitive to medications. Kaitlyn insisted that only 2 clients ever had a negative reaction and that these are herbs, not real medication like a prescription. After the first couple acupuncture appointments, she tried Gua Sha since my muscles are so tight. I was able to tolerate and she did this until I began bruising, which is expected. The other person I saw there, Priscilla, also performed acupuncture and then Gua Sha. She was extremely rough with the Gua Sha, and when I said it was too much, she replied with "well, if you can't handle it, then I won't even do it," then began aggressively running a cup over my back, without telling me what she was doing. I had to ask her if she was doing cupping. I asked politely to have her wipe the area with an alcohol swap before inserting acupuncture needles, which she did not. During my intake, Kaitlyn suggested that I set up a massage with Ron. I filled out the required form and went into great detail about what I was and was not comfortable with (certain areas), which his first question was, "Glutes?" I asked that he only work on my problem area, which is my back only, specifically focusing on my neck and left shoulder area. This was the MOST UNCOMFTABLE massage ever, and I literally left in tears. First, he was seated the entirety of my massage. He would lightly push one, single finger on a pressure point, and the either rest his hand on my back- not massaging at all, or pet me like I was a cat. It was extraordinarily uncomfortable. I even said to him, "I'm not sure if you're easing into this or what, but you can apply much more pressure." and he stated that he was warming up to it. He never once even touched, let alone massaged my problem areas that I pointed out. As I was leaving and crying, the receptionist said she would give me a discount. At the time, I could care less, and I just wanted to leave (a 20% discount was applied). The massage was on Friday, September 27th. I never had anyone follow up with me, as I would imagine any reputable place would when a client leaves crying. Nope. They called me to see if I wanted to schedule any more appointments though. I returned a call to discuss my concerns with an office manager or whomever was in charge on Thursday, October 3rd. Someone called from a private number SIX days later and left a message telling me to call the office manager again since this person doesn't come into the office at all. October 14th, I called to speak with the office manager again and was told she'll call me back in a day or two. I have discontinued taking the Chinese herbs as they affected my mental health SIGNIFICANTLY in the poorest way possible. As of now, it does not appear that Holistic Health Associates in Frederick, MD has any priority to resolve or even discuss the most terrible and uncomfortable experience from a paying customer. I felt no difference with acupuncture, or any other method of "care," from this business, and it appear that they don't care if someone has a negative experience with them either.

Very friendly. Welcomed me and my service dog happily. I am a disabled veteran and I immediately felt comfortable at their office . My first massage there was outstanding. I felt immediate relief from pain in my shoulders and neck. I highly recommend Holistic Health Associates. Major Williams USMC retired.

I always look forward to my acupuncture appointments. KJ is the absolute BEST. She is so knowledgeable, professional, so kind and really listens and understands. I just adore her. The whole staff is first class. Professional, friendly, efficient and caring. They have so many different services. If you haven’t been there, definitely check them out!!!

I went mainly for plantar fasciitis but was also treated for back & neck pain. One treatment & heel is almost pain free. Staff is very professional & welcoming. Made me feel very comfortable as a first timer!

I just had an excellent massage at Hollistic Health. I was experiencing some shoulder pain. All of my specific issues were addressed. I felt Ron really understood how to help me. The massage was extremely helpful, but equally important was our conversation and the stretches Ron recommended. Thanks so much!
