The best salon! They went above and beyond for us when we were in a hurry before a big event and our other appointment fell through! Can’t recommend enough! Great blow dry and styling!

They do the basics well. I got a very simple haircut, wash + cut was $50 with tip. Had to wait a bit even though I had an appointment.

Hollywood Salon is a popular hair salon in the neighborhood on Second Avenue frequented by locals and by young children. I was searching for a good salon at rock bottom prices. If I had oodles of money or a sugar daddy I could go to Madison Avenue. A friend had suggested a lady in Chinatown who spoke no English and charged nine dollars. I was intrigued but wondered how my hair would look when I left? Kojak? Would I need an interpreter? I looked on Yelp and started calling places. Hollywood Salon charged $40 and is a cash only establishment. The staff is from Eastern Europe. A young lady, Alla. washed my hair nicely and then Irene, an older lady cut my hair. She understood what a blunt cut was and got to work. Snip snip. Lo and behold, my new haircut gave my hair bounce. I was happy. I will return.

I kinda wanna keep this place a secret for myself but that would be mean. I chose this place because it was nearby and I needed a quick cut. I got waaaaaay more than I expected....you just gotta go. Just go. See Irena :)

My hair color and cut was phenomenal. I had grown out roots and washed out color. I got a stylish cut and and glorious color. The salon’s owner Irena and staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was impressed at how gracious they were to clients and walk ins. Great experience. Totally recommend

I've been to too many crazy expensive salons in NYC only to NEVER get the simple haircut I was requesting. I go here one time and boom... Perfect haircut and it was so much less expensive... This will be my salon from now on.

It was my first time at the Hollywood salon. They are absolutely great! All of them were so friendly. I got my haircut exactly how I wanted. With excellent prices! 100% recommended! Will be a regular here!

I stumbled upon this salon online and decided to give it a shot. I thought it was fantastic! The ambiance was adorable and refined. The owner and hairstylist were both fantastic. I couldn't believe the inexpensive prices, which included a fantastic head massage, cut, and style. This location was a true gem! Service that comes highly recommended!

I’ve been going to Hollywood Salon for about 3 years now and they never disappoint. They understand what look I’m going for and create it. I’ve gone for a bob cut, bangs, and layered hair and always get compliments. My hair grows so beautiful after every cut. They also do an amazing job with hair color changes without hair damage. Worth the price!

First, I'm a guy and just get basic haircuts, so I can't speak to more complex things like dying my hair, curling it, etc. That said, I moved to NYC a couple years ago and just needed to find a place in town that 1) does a good job, and 2) isn't insanely expensive, and they absolutely fit the bill. I've been to a couple spots that charge $75+ and it's literally no better (and sometimes worse). I also like that they include washing your hair and rinsing at the end. I definitely plan to stay a loyal customer!

Let me tell you a little story about something great... My mom went in here today. She had been growing her hair for quite some time, in order to have it cut and donated. My mother is legally blind, and in her 60's. She had Nadia taking care of her. Afterwards, my mom just seemed to have such a bounce in her step. She took such care with her, treated her incredibly well... she looks great! A wonderful, professional haircut, and took the time to make her feel special. In a world going too fast, and people often forgetting how to do simple kindness; you guys knocked it out of the park today. For that, I'm grateful. Keep it up. From a grateful son.
