HHL is a great place for its variety of skilled staff and welcoming atmosphere. I have been coming here for my hair maintenance for about a year and always receive so many compliments on my cut. Would highly recommend!

Was told I could get a mid length with bangs trim. I know a wash isn't always included these days but I've never been sent out with wet hair (from spritzing) before. Because it was wet I couldn't really tell until I got home, but my hair was thinned WAY too much. It didn't add volume like layers should, but made it look flat and fine. Bangs are crooked. Atmosphere is nice but skill is lacking. As you can see those bangs are not straight at all.

hometown hair lounge is the goat when it comes to hair salons in portland! it’s clean and always a vibe! i’ve been getting my haircut here for years now and i am always happy with the results! would definitely recommend coming here!

Isaac runs an amazing barbershop and is a hell of a host. Ashley has been cutting my hair for a couple of years - I look forward to the chats have always been stoked with the “do”. I can’t imagine getting my hard to tame curly hair cut anywhere else.

I’ve been going to this shop for almost 8 years and I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve worked with 2 barbers over the years and they are the only people I would trust with my haircut. I like a custom fade and Ashley is the Best. From the minute I walk in to the time I leave the experience is always fun and the service is top-notch. I’ve sent friends there too and they have been gong here for years as well!

I did not have a good experience. I did not get the service I booked, stylist was 45 minutes late, I left very happy. I will not be back.

My first time in the shop and I was blown away. I had been seeing the same barber for years at a different spot but wanted to try something new. I had just picked the any stylist option because I was new. I had a hair cut and a beard trim. Kyle met me and shook my hand and lead me to the chair and proceeded to give me probably the best haircut I have had in forever. He took what I asked and molded it into something great but as it turns out hew as only doing a guest spot for a week, but I saw all the cuts coming out and could tell I could see anyone there and get a great job. 100 will be back.

Been coming here for almost 10 years now. I have switched up my haircut several times since then and they do an excellent job guiding me through the process. The staff is always friendly, funny and are experienced professionals. Awesome product recommendations as well as my GF steals them when I get home :) I highly recommend HHL.

Best shop in Portland. People are wonderful here. The check in experience is awesome with multiple drink options given. You always get a stellar cut. My regular is Ryan but I’m sure all the others are just as talented.
