Absolutely love this salon. The ambience and atmosphere is both relaxing and friendly. Very well kept, modern furnishings and tools such as dryers, shampoo bowls, steamers, stylist tools and the music is great. I never leave dissatisfied and the coffee, tea, water and mimosas are a plus.

Since finding honey salon and having Michele as my stylist my hair has never been better. She helped my hair grow healthy and natural. She always looks out for me when it comes to always being on point when I want a color change. Since moving to Texas I have not found anyone that comes close to her style. When I’m in New York I make sure to see her. Honey salon as a whole is one big family and will Always have you looking right best salon in New York.

The service is excellent. The owner Latoya is such a beautiful spirit who always gives back to the Community. Every time I go there I feel special, beautiful atmosphere, beautiful people, amazing staff and stylist are all so talented.

The salon and hairstylists are nice but $85 for an haircut is pretty expensive. The shampoo was not thoroughly performed and no comb was used. I left the salon with an itchy scalp and dandruff. It's overpriced for the quality of service but the haircut was done perfectly. I spent $200+

VERY OVERPRICED. I had high hopes for this lovely black owned business. So I took a chance only to be severely disappointed. I spent over $500 and I left the salon looking like I had just blow dryed my own hair and added a few streaks of blonde. Admittedly I have very thick hair, so it took more time (and more money) for services, but the price DOES NOT match the results. I couldn’t even get a proper trim even though I had invested so much money in this experience. I immediately put my hair in a frizzy ponytail after I left. The people in the shop were kind and the atmosphere was lovely, but I was extremely displeased and upset with the results of my services. After spending so much time and money, I had hoped to feel better about my experience. If you have more than an average amount of hair and are on any kind of budget, I would not recommend this salon.

I really enjoyed my experience. I have a sew-in so I am cautious about how my hair is washed and dried to protect both my bundles and my natural hair. My hair is looks great.

If you want to get robbed then this is the place for you. Not only are their prices higher than advertised online, they have OUTRAGEOUS fees. $85 for a haircut and thay doesn't include your hair being washed and blown out. I swear these stylists are so trash these days.

I’ve been going to Helen for a couple of years now, and I will go to NO ONE else. Not only do I get my color touched up (blonde) - Helen does with perfection, but her trim and silk press are the BEST I’ve ever experienced.

Was not satisfied, would not go back. Stylist didn't put a cape on me. Short got all wet. Colored and permed my head. Next day scabs in my head and hair damaged. Paid over 300. So disappointed. Would never go back.

All the ladies at the salon are nice and professional. Lolita listened to my issues so she could help me figure out what needed to be done. I’ve been there twice and both experiences were great. I will definitely be returning.

Got my hair done last week Friday. I didn't like how one of the stylist did my hair. Waste of time and waste of money. It's crazy how these stylist can charge so much money but do a horrible job. But the owner of the salon was a nice understanding good person.

I got a relaxer touch up a few months ago. The hair stylist didn’t properly rinse and some of my hair broke off. Wish the lady (I forgot her name) that usually helps wash customers’ hair washed mine instead. Her hair washes are always amazingly thorough and relaxing. I know I should have said something right away especially since this is the second time suffering from hair damage at this salon. At $200+ and a generous tip every visit this shouldn’t be anyone’s experience. From what I’ve seen all the stylists are good. Perhaps the stylist I chose became too familiar and no longer felt she needed to be as attentive. Not sure. But lesson learned for me is set “acquaint boundaries” and keep things professional. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

I have been going to Honey Salon for 10 years now. This salon owner Latoya is very attentive and dedicated to the clients. Shawn has been my stylist for many years now. He is a great stylist and keeps my hair healthy and strong. I am natural but wear my hair straight and Shawn’s silk presses are the best!

Sad. Firstly I made an appointment over the phone. When I arrived (a few mins before the appointment) the receptionist was rude as hell. I wanted to cut my ends and was on a budget so I appreciated their prices for kinky/curly hair. She had me sitting there waiting 40 mins and didn't even tell me who my hair dresser was. I got up to ask and she pointed to a lady doing a silk press. (First chair, secluded, to the left of the receptionist.) She said she had all these heads to do even though I made an appointment so I said okay and decided to wait. My hair needed a cut badly and I didn't have time to come back that week... Finally I get seen 1.5hrs after my appointment. The salon was closed at this time. The hair dresser tries to make friends with me (oh and they said they give mimosas while you wait, they gave me 2 but were acting like I needed to be grateful.... Sorry, wasting my time is not impressive even if alcohol is involved). the hair dresser decides to do another step by adding mousse which was extra money but she said it was the only way to get a cut. At this point my ends just needed to be cut so I didn't say anything. She starts speaking about how her son is autistic and has him in a Jewish school. I won't go into details but she was speaking anti-Semitic things about the Jewish community. I love Jews, Ive worked at Zabar's, have Jewish friends, and was even in love with a Jewish man before. (Even though he doesn't want me back it doesn't mean I'm going to hate him for being Jewish, he's just an a-hole like a lot of men from many backgrounds.....) So this conversation made me uncomfortable. Then her son calls and she puts him on FaceTime in front of me showing my face.( I have worked as a paraprofessional for the DOE and know that this was not appropriate for her to do as her son is a 20 something year old.... very unprofessional but she was siding with the receptionist's disrespect.) When I told her to split my hair down the middle she ended up doing it crooked so the haircut itself was uneven. I was so pissed at how the style came out. I don't wish this service on anyone. I need a haircut again now and have low-key PTSD after that experience that I'm willing to pay $200+ for my next cut at another place... There's a ginger hairdresser who's not only gorgeous but made me feel there was at least a little bit of humanity in the place (shout out to first chair right side of the receptionist desk). I think if I would've gotten a silk press my experience would have been different. Other people seemed pleased with the service, but unfortunately I was not. I give it .5 stars.

This place is nice but they are very pushy with this $40.00 treatment /conditioner. If I don't want it do not manipulate me or insist me to get it. It’s a small amount for $40.00 .

Two stars, because of the stylist The stylist who did my hair was great it came out really good and I was impressed. HOWEVER 4 days later after spending 100+ I started to see EXTREME shedding not sure what products they use but my hair clearly wasn’t having it. I had to wash and treat my hair so fast because the shedding was excessive for two days and I’ve never had shedding in the past so this was indicator something was definitely up and a few pieces of heat damage.
