Such a gem of a salon! I've been there twice thus far and have always left thrilled with my cuts. Most recently, I came in to have a horrible cut that I got elsewhere fixed and it's a night and day comparison. Leda talked me through everything she was doing while correcting my original cut and truly understood what I was looking for. I'm trusting my curls with her from now on! Even in Philly it can be hard to find a salon that understands what a good curly haircut entails, and Hot Waves has nailed it both times ❣️

What an outstanding experience. Got my haircut yesterday by Leda. She did a phenomenal job as she always does. She is an artist. From the time you schedule your appointment until you walk out the door the service is incredible. Everyone in there is exceptional, kind, caring, warm respectful and talented. You will not only leave there with the best style or cut you will walk out of there smiling and feeling like a million dollars. Thank you all so much for taking care of me and my sister.

Went here for the first time today. Stylist was amazing!! She really listened to what I wanted and asked a lot of good questions to help me achieve the style I wanted. Prices r very reasonable compared to other salons in area. The salon was modern and clean. Got an appointment within 2 days. Definitely going back n highly recommend

I just left this place and had a very bad experience, the lady had nice manners but I went there to get a braid and got out with a headache a bunch of hairspray a $90 charge and 25 Bobby pins, this wasn’t what I expected at all, nor looked anything like the picture I showed, overly priced for two simple braids. While the lady was nice she kept pulling my hair a lot and just said I had a sensitive scalp, she also seemed in a rush for her next appointment. I would not recommend not go back, for a hairstyle they should let you know they don’t know how to braid hair.

I went to Hot Waves recently for my first balayage and a trim. I've had my hair cut at this salon a few times now and every time they have done a beautiful job. Laura did an excellent job on my balayage. She truly makes sure you're comfortable and listens to what you want. This was my first time dyeing my hair and I was a bit hesitant but after it was done I realized it was 100% worth it. Laura is so talented. I highly recommend Hot Waves.

Laura was AMAZING! I went in to take my very dark, outgrown hair and get some blonde highlights added. She took the time to explain everything that she was doing and made sure I felt comfortable with every step. Not once did Laura make me feel like I was rushing her or asking for too much. She made me feel like I was priority number one, even stayed late for me. Not to mention the fantastic job she did to my hair! I am in love with how it turned out, and it was a very challenging process! Her attentiveness, the environment, and the genuine staff have just created a lifelong customer out of me! Thank you!!

Called to schedule an appointment. The woman took all my information and said someone would reach out to me to schedule and never heard anything. Called back twice and received no answer the first time. The second time someone answered and apologized and said someone will be reaching out to me to schedule and again, no one ever called. Super bummed bc they had great reviews and so close to where I live.
