Never in my life have I gone to a salon and actually, genuinely, loved my hair afterwards. Teddy was such a delight to have and did such an amazing job! He really brought my vision to life! 10/10 recommend this place! Staff is always so kind and it’s such an aesthetically pleasing place to be.

Amazing salon. Ashley gave me the exact color and cut I wanted/needed. The vibes are immaculate and the interior is decorated so beautifully. She really listened to what I wanted to do for my hair and executed it beautifully!

Elizabeth is so talented with blond! I searched around for the best blonde stylist in town and I found someone who is not only quick and precise but beautiful coloring and a true master at her craft. Truly so happy with my hair! And thank you Thomas for the amazing cut and beach curls! Just what I wanted!

I went in for a curly cut with Mimi and it was SUCH a great experience. She really helped me figure out what I want from my wavy hair and was super patient with all my questions about care! Cannot recommend going to see Mimi enough.

Listen, going to a salon when you're only in town for a day is a gamble but I needed a blowout and also asked (high maintenance) for it to still look freshly blown out more than 24 hours later for professional photos. My hair is long, thick, course, and heavy. Teddy DELIVERED!!! It looked absolutely perfect and I got so many compliments. If I was local, I would claim him and be in regularly. My only regret is not having the time in my quick trip to get a cut or color with him, but I'm confident he would have delivered on that too! Teddy was so personable and comfortable and it felt like he'd been my stylist before. Thank you so much!!

I absolutely LOVE Holly and House of Dear!! I found this salon while looking to make a very drastic hair change (from mid-back length to pixie), and since I was really nervous, I wanted to book with the owner to ensure I would be in good hands. I had the BEST possible experience I could've had - Holly is super sweet and attentive, she listened to my concerns, and the appointment never felt rushed, even though I'm sure she's naturally very busy as the owner of a large salon. I love my haircut so much that I've been keeping it for the last 5 months and plan to keep it indefinitely, and I continue to go back to Holly for every cut because I know I'm going to leave happy every time. And, as if that's not enough, the rest of the staff at House of Dear are so kind and pleasant and helpful! The salon is a really fun environment, and you're always greeted with a warm smile and offered a drink. Bonus - booking online is so easy!! You can pick exactly what service you need AND choose your stylist. I cannot recommend House of Dear enough!!! ❤️

I was deeply disappointed. I asked them for a big change, I wanted to turn my hair into electric blue, showed them pictures for reference, and after 5 hours and almost $700 dollars, my hair is not blue -.- is black with some dark blue highlights that you can barely see under the sunlight my hair looks healthy and shinny, I would recommend this place for more basic services, but not for a modern hair coloring transformation

I’ve been coming here for my haircut on and off for 9 years, almost a dozen visits. I had always had wonderful experiences with the stylists here (Alex, Lauren, Laurel, Jeron, Angelo, Arnold…… some of them don’t work here anymore), until my most recent visit, which lost my trust in this place. This hairstylist I had recently could not let me finish my sentences, would not listen, made snarky remarks about how I did not come here often enough, complained multiple times about how much hair I had and how long it took to cut my hair, was super rough when washing and brushing my hair, was distracted several times during the haircut, was very messy and got huge pieces of hair all over my clothes, and ended up doing a terrible job. I only had 3 simple requests: the length of the cut, face framing, and layers. She got the length correct, the face framing was meh, and she did not do any layers. I would’ve forgiven her everything else if the haircut looked nice, but unfortunately her skills did not back up that bad attitude. It almost seemed like she didn’t give a F. I paid $80+ plus 25% tips for this haircut, not because she deserved the tips but I pressed the wrong button and was too lazy to change it. Oh well. I definitely won’t be coming back to this salon.

Mimi is an amazing stylist. She has confidence when she’s coloring and cutting hair. She made me feel comfortable with my choices and she gave me amazing bangs! I will continue to go to house of dear salon as long as they have Mimi!!

Moved to Dallas a year ago and so glad I found this salon! I received so many compliments on my hair thanks to the incredible Mimi Han. Got a balayage and cut and it turned out even better than my inspo picture that I showed her during the consultation. 10/10 would recommend

Mimi is great! When I came in for a consult I love that the stylist I originally chose put me onto Mimi instead due to what I asked for, time frame, etc. It was just really considerate rather than having them rush and not give me what I asked for. I was trying to go silver and she got me there without frying my hair. So glad I found this place.

Recent visit- Still love my color artist Brett, my hair is so glossy and silky. Chloe is fantastic at everything she does. This time I opted for a straight shag and got the most gorgeous layers (look at that pic!). Room for improvement would be that they're having some sort of towel shortage and the entire time I was there, stylists were trying to secure some for their clients. My hair was dried with paper towels and I would expect better in that department. Totally not the stylists fault. Thank you Brett and Chloe for being amazing!!! —————-//—-/—- Update: I still see Brett for color because he's honestly the best. His color is always rich, it last a long time, it gives a shine that keeps the compliments coming. I drive a long way to see Brett for color and he's 100% worth it! My cut is now done with Chloe. She's amazing. She's so confident in her curly cuts, she listens and understand your goals (short and long term) and then she works her magic. My hair has grown out so beautifully that I'm exceeding my 'long term' hair goals. I also like that Chloe is very down to earth and easy to chat with. At the risk of having a harder time booking with this duo, let me tell you that even my favorite salon in Austin and SF doesn't compare to what these two bring in artistry and dedication. I am a forever fan of this salon and the whole staff! ---------------------------Previous experience---------------------------- This salon is everything you want! The location is very cute. Parking is plentiful. Everyone is very nice and warm. My 2 artists are Jean Marie for cut, Brett for color. If a picture is worth a thousand words then let me stop typing and look at this beautiful color and curly cut ❤️

EDIT: TOBIE HAS MOVED/NO LONGER AT THIS SALON I hadn’t had any color in my hair for over 10 years and was upfront about the concern with my thinning hair. I don’t do reviews very often but this is one that needed to be posted. I went to House of Dear because of a good review from a friend of mine regarding the stylist Angelo. I came in with high hopes, but left extremely disappointed and frustrated. Angelo was first off late to the appointment, then super aggressive with my hair (really aggressive, like pulling out my hair) and finally when I didn’t like the end style, he refused to fix it and downplayed my concerns. He said that I should’ve shown him more specific pictures, even though I showed him multiple in the beginning. The cut came out, uneven and was not what I asked for. The salon that I then went to to correct his work, said that they have received several customers from House of Dear due to similar reasons.

I don’t normally do reviews but i would not recommend this place :( i went in for a haircut that i’ve been putting off because i have really thick hair and not all stylists know how to deal with it but i saw amazing reviews and i assumed if im paying $90 for a haircut it must be a amazing experience but unfortunately it wasn’t. my appointment was set for 10:45 but I got there about 30 minutes early so i had already knew it would be a wait especially because it was pretty packed but around 4:49 i still wasn’t seen so i asked the super nice receptionist how long id be just to find out my stylist, Blake was still doing another clients hair. fortunately she had someone start washing my hair who was super sweet but didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing and was pulling my hair really hard but i let it go because i know my hair can be tangly. When i finally got to speak with Blake i showed her a inspo picture of what i wanted and she said okay then as she was cutting my hair she seemed very distracted and walked away a few times to continue with her other client and it felt like she rushed to get me out but when she was done cutting and styling i noticed my hair looked a bit choppy and uneven (didn’t look like the picture what so ever ) and when i pointed it out she seemed very bothered and snipped a little bit off but i didn’t want to be there anymore so i payed and left.fortunately the place was beautiful and clean and everyone was really nice but i think the place was too small for such a chaotic environment with so many people rushing which made it very uncomfortable :(

I'm so happy I found House of Dear for my curls! Holly and Trin take such good care of me. Holly is fantastic - she works to shape my hair to get to my goal of longer curls, and even talked my daughter through how she would cut and style her to get from what we'd always thought was very straight hair to a really nice layered cut that brought out her waves and curls. She even worked her in for the cut when she had a cancellation while my color was processing! Speaking of color, Trin is a rockstar - I wear rainbows all the time, and she did an amazing vivid rainbow that faded so beautifully over the summer that I got raves every day from "Oh wow, your hair is amazing!" to "Oh wow, that's amazing, how did you get that perfect pastel?" I sadly had to go back to natural color for a (not-sad) new job, and she made my natural color look fantastic and brought me back to redo a couple of spots where the former blue and yellow were being stubborn. My daughter adds: "They were very nice. And awesome!"

Chelsea RESCUED my hair!! I picked her specifically because her profile said that she specializes in lived-in color, and I had been living in my grown out roots since June! She pulled the blonde up, gave me a shadow root, and then a beautiful rose pink toner that I'm obsessed with. Holly then gave me the BEST haircut I've ever had in my life! I was so impressed, and feel so great in my new hair!! UPDATING MY REVIEW BECAUSE MY STYLIST MOVED SALONS! Chelsea Bonnett is still doing amazing things to my hair, at Spellbound Salon in Dallas!

Went in to get a curly cut because I saw they had great reviews and left frustrated. My hair is uneven and my curl pattern is just straight frizz. My stylist was late and then rushed because her second client was already there. They tried to “diffuse” my hair and basically straightened it. My front pieces which she said she’d leave alone are now 2 different lengths. I was offered to redo the curls again, and even after a second time of trying it still doesn’t look right. Never going back to this place again.

Horrible experience. I went there for a blond highlight refresher as I am starting a new job this Monday and came out with pink and red and burgundy hair. I’ve been getting highlights for ten years now and never had a worse experience. Hairstylist said it will be find after a while!! WHAT? So when you go to a restaurant and order beef is it ok for them to serve you chicken and say it’s gonna be beef after a while??? I called them to get my money back at least. The answer was sorry we don’t do refunds come back and we’ll fix it! NO THANK YOU! I’ll put a charge back on the CC. Btw I paid $405 for this mess and Blake was the stylist. Update: couple of days later I went to another salon to get the mess fixed and asked the stylist to take pictures of the back too. I uploaded the pic to show the meaning of a FULL HIGHLIGHT at this place. They washed my hair like 3 times with clarifying shampoo to wash off the pink and burgundy but there is still some left.
