I can’t say enough good things about Hush. The space is beautiful. The customer service is excellent (I had a glass of white wine—which was so welcomed after a long day). Best of all, the hairstylist that was highly recommended by my neighbor turned out to be superb! Thai was simply artistic with my hair—perfect color, cut, & style. So glad to have found Hush & Thai!

I’ve been getting my hair cut and glossed with Jenna Paige for several months now. I have lived in the Raleigh area since 2018 and tried many top rated salons in the area. She is the first hair stylist since moving here that knows how to cut my thick hair. I am consistently blown away each salon visit by the quality of the cut and style. She cuts like a master stylist who has been doing this for over 20 years. Each visit I feel heard and relaxed knowing I'm in good hands.

Wow! The amazing color, lowlights, and cut that Jenna gave me! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. The way she blended the tones to achieve such a natural and dimensional look is incredible. And the haircut itself is truly the best I've had in years – Jenna has remarkable talent beyond her years. And Hush Salon! It's a wonderful space with a great downtown vibe. My hairstylist was Thai and he was absolutely wonderful. I have Asian hair, medium thick to thin hair, and He listened to me about my hair, gave me suggestions, and we agreed on styles! He first did a dry cut which I appreciated before shampooing because my hair will shrink after a wet cut and there’s more inches I didn’t want cut off. I found Thai because another Asian had posted that he did great with hers so I decided to try and I agree, he knows our Asian hair very well!! The manager Kim was also wonderful! I did the booking questionnaire online and then texted the number it prompts you to if you have questions and when I texted the number, Kim got me an appt right away! When I walked in, she was friendly, offered me some drinks, and we had a fun conversation about sports while Thai was styling/blow drying my hair! Overall a great salon, and I’ll be back for more hair services!

I give 3 stars because the end result was pretty but unfortunately not what I asked for. I think Kyle is very talented but again not what I asked for. I wanted to blend my grays not to just cover them and deal with gray popping out when my roots grow again but instead my roots are covered so I feel like I am back to square one. I like the look but unfortunately that is not something that works for me and I had very high hopes so overall disappointed that I wasn’t really listened.

My experience at Hush was amazing thanks to Karli and the owner, Kim! Karli is an absolute professional. I had a new extension install with color, and she nailed it—my hair looked nearly identical to my inspiration picture! My hair has some damage, and Karli was so thoughtful in making sure to avoid any further breakage. She used the right products and kept the bleach to a minimum to maintain the health and integrity of my hair. As a blonde, it means the world to me to have someone that genuinely cares about my hair’s health. Additionally, Karli is super attentive to detail. She did not rush or take any shortcuts. From start to finish, Karli ensured my service was nothing short of perfect. Even when I decided to shorten my extensions, she didn’t hesitate to spend an extra 30 minutes making sure we got the perfect length. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I walked out feeling my absolute best. I would highly recommend Karli to anyone looking for fabulous, healthy hair!

Saw Karli Bossman a couple days ago and this was my second time seeing her and she did even better than I could’ve imagined! Not only does she do the most amazing hair but the environment is so fun and she really connects with you to help give you the best experience with the best hair to go with it! I can’t rave about her enough! Best haircut I’ve ever had! Kyle was amazing, and I showed him a vision of what I wanted but told him he knows hair and has creative liberties to “make me look good”. And well he NAILED IT! I’m so happy and I will only go back to him in the Raleigh area now!

I recently got my hair done by Olivia, and I will never go back to anyone else !! Her professionalism, knowledge for what she does, and her personality is over the moon ! I came in after not having my hair done for over a year, and she turned me into a whole new person- look at that before and after ! I can’t thank her enough for making me feel like myself again. Jenna always does an amazing job with my highlights, lowlights, cut and styling. She takes the time to figure out what I really want and what I need to keep my hair looking healthy, stylish and beautiful. I always leave Hush Hair Lash Brow feeling very refreshed and I receive so many compliments from both strangers and friends alike on my color and cut, even up to the day of my next appointment which is a very good sign of the quality of Jenna’s services. The salon is a beautiful space with lots of natural light, I am always offered a delicious beverage when I arrive and during my service which makes me feel nice and very comfortable. Hush Hair Lash Brow uses some of the highest quality and best haircare lines on back bar and in the stylist’s chairs, the products are offered for sale in the salon too which I very much appreciate. Five stars all the way.

Best haircut I've had in 5+ years! Thai was so knowledgeable about different hair types, texture, and took care in listening to my needs and concerns. He is so skillful in creating a cut suitable for my hair type and the style I wanted. He exceeded my expectations! I've had some back to back haircut nightmares with different stylists from different salons, so I was a bit nervous, but Thai's confidence really set my mind at ease. I'm so glad I finally found a hair stylist in the triangle that can cut amazing hair on me! I'm excited to have more hair sessions with Thai and explore some of his other areas of expertise in hairstyling!

This is my second time visiting Hushraleigh and each time my experiences have been spectacular, she did my lashes and my haircut. Kim did an exceptional job, both times, I really fell in love with my lashes. She and my stylist made me feel at home, they listened to my ideas and I left feeling confident with my new hair and lashes. The staff at the studio is friendly, it is a very nice, clean and organized hair studio, the staff made me feel very welcome once I walked through their doors. The prices are reasonable. They are definitely the best.

The best hair salon experience I have ever had in my life! First of all, Maddy was absolutely amazing and took the time to work with me and chat with me about my hair goals and explain the process before we dove in. She took her time and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it and explained things as she went along. I learned a lot about hair care and coloring! She also did a salon grade Kérastase hair treatment while I was there. I went from grown out highlights and unbalanced color to the most GORGEOUS lived in blond. It’s mature, sexy, and frames my face beautifully. I have never been happier with my hair. I have found my next hair stylist for life! Hush itself has the coolest vibe—it’s very sleek and an entirely open concept. This is absolutely the place to come and get your hair done in Raleigh!

I had the best experience at Hush with Maddy! The place is beautiful and situated in a nice area. I felt welcomed as soon as I entered the salon. Maddy was really patient and listened to all my concerns (I had had a bad experience in the past in another salon). She was transparent and never did something without asking/letting me know first. She also made sure I was satisfied and happy with the results! Since I was scared about how the result was going to be, I asked her to be really subtle with the highlights. In person you can definitely appreciate the results so much better! I had received a lot of compliments, definitely a boost of confidence! Maddy you are the best!! I can’t wait to come again! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hush, and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had. The salon itself is chic and modern, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Being from out of state I was nervous to find a new stylist but from the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. I went in for a full balayage, and my stylist, Maddy, was nothing short of amazing. She took the time to really understand what I wanted and walked me through the entire process, explaining what to expect every step of the way. Her professional insight was invaluable—she not only listened to my ideas but also offered expert suggestions that perfectly suited my hair type. I have to give a special shout out to Olivia who assisted along the way and was just as kind. The result was even better than I could have imagined!

I won't be coming back to the salon. While my stylist was nice and engaged just enough for my taste, my highlights look like they were done by two completely different people on each side of my head. And the root tap that was done makes it look like I got highlights done that grew out 3 months ago... it does not blend well and makes the highlights appear choppy (I have now washed my hair 10ish times and it has not helped). In addition, the face framing highlights are terrible - I can't put my hair up because there is such stark and patchy parts near my roots, with lots of banding/color issues. I had no previous color on my hair other than the highlights and toner I got over a year ago, so the 5ish inches near my roots were virgin - there's not reason there should have been banding and patchiness. Overall, I'm surprised this is considered a full highlight... looks more like a standard partial. Prices were astronomical for the overall results. The price for a root tap and toner? Absurd. And not including a blow dry with your services? How are clients supposed to see the actual results if they don't want to pay the $70 for a poorly executed blow dry? Toner/gloss and blow dry should ALWAYS be included in any hair coloring service. My hair has never been more brittle or dry after a highlight, although I even went with the recommendation of my stylist to do a mask after to maintain hair health. If the services I received were even half the price, I would still have been disappointed with the results, but I surely wouldn't be posting this review. Price breakdown: - Full high-light : $156 - Additional color (root tap) : $30 - Global Color Root to End (toner/gloss) : $168 (!!!!) - Fusio Dose (hair mask) : $45 - Blow dry : $76 (!!! with no styling) - Tip: $50 Grand total : $525 And this pricing is for someone with appx. 4 years of experience, and it took over 4 hours with an assistant helping... who knows what it looks like for the more seniored stylists. The original quote included a hair cut (that I didn't end up getting due to time) and was less than this, so I'm not sure what happened. While they offered to fix my hair, they had to cancel my touch up appoint due to a storm (not their fault). Then I was travelling for a few weeks - they said they would follow up when I was back but I have yet to hear from them. I will continue to shop around to find the right salon for me. I'm very disappointed given there are such good reviews. I have to assume it was an off day for the stylist. Pictures are from immediately after getting it done & 2 washes later on a zoom call.

Hush is the only salon I would drive 45 minutes one way to visit! I lived in Nashville for years and the vibe at Hush is very like the salons I frequented. Maddy is absolutely fabulous and has taken me thoughtfully through the process of going platinum blonde. My hair has never been healthier and I appreciate Maddy’s knowledge and care in keeping my hair looking fresh! I can’t recommend her or Hush enough!

Thai did a fabulous job, and I absolutely love how the balayage just blended seamlessly! He has great attention to detail and is a great listener - my hair turned out even better than the photos I showed! He is a true artist, and it’s super fun seeing the hair transitions - he walks you through the full process. We had great banter, and Thai made sure I wasn’t bored! I recently moved to Raleigh and was looking for a place to get my hair done. I went in for just a cut and the girl the whole time wouldn’t stop bashing my hair. And like I don’t have a lot of things I’m super happy with but I know I have nice hair. She went on and on about how dry it was and insisted I needed a hair mask and then wouldn’t put layers in my hair when I asked because she said my hair was “far too thin and I’d look like I have no hair”. So she basically cut a few pieces of my hair and blow dried it. I went back to my old stylist back in SC and she immediately was like “who cut your hair?! It’s so flat!” Idk it felt like I was being shamed the whole time just to buy their products. And it’s not like they’re cheap to begin with. Just for reference I put a pic of my hair on here so I don’t just sound like someone who won’t accept they have bad hair. THIS IS NOT THEIR WORK this is from my regular stylist.

I've been to this salon about 4 maybe 5 times now with the same stylist, Maddy. I've been getting my hair colored for at least 10 years and have had everything from face framing, full balayage, partial balayage, all over color etc. I've been to stylists in Denver, San Diego, NYC and other major cities and ive always had positive experiences and I'm confident in what my hair can do because I saw those wonderful stylists. From the get go at this salon the stylist would over explain and over analyze why she thought my hair wouldn't be able to look like the inspiration photo even though I would bring up past photos of my hair looking incredibly similar. She defaults to doubting what your hair can do and you end up going in circles trying to get to a decision of how to move forward. There was a lot of insisting I need certain treatments (deep conditioning, keratin, etc) if I lighten my hair that keep racking up the bill or insisting I need a haircut. If I say no, it should be understood not to ask again. Same thing at the end of the appointment always pushing products she says I'll need otherwise my hair won't hold up. The vibes were icky and salesy. The thing that made me cancel my most recent appointment though was even if you book and appointment for color which forces you to wash your hair, they make you pay $80 to have it blow dried. BUT if you pay for a haircut you don't have to pay for the blow dry?? What?? They won't let you leave wet so essentially you have to pay almost another hundred dollars on top of your service if you choose a color service that gets your hair wet. My service was almost always $500.

One of the best salon experiences I’ve ever had. My stylist Maddy (@balayagebymadz) took time to show me techniques, talk through how I live my life to figure out a good style for me (low maintenance for sure) and even gave time along the way of the cut to make sure I liked how it was looking and feeling. The salon itself is so chic and modern and just makes you feel good when you walk in. Hands down will be a long term client for sure and hope to get everyone I know to come here too!!

Recently got my hair cut here by Lily and she saved my hair! About a week prior I went to a different salon and they absolutely butchered my hair. It’s very thick for reference so if it’s not cut correctly you can see every single chop. They never called back so I did some researched and reached out to Hush and I’m SO thankful Lily was able to work her magic. Loved everything about my experience at this salon and I am in LOVE with my hair! Can’t wait to go back!
