I booked the two-hour massage and facial hoping for a relaxing experience, but instead, I left feeling completely disappointed. Let’s start with the massage—it was okay at best, but I could barely enjoy it because the area where my face was placed had an unpleasant smell. The spa itself was not the cleanest—the robe they gave me had a stain, and the spa shoes were dingy and old. Then came the facial with GIGI—if you even risk going here, DO NOT BOOK with her. She was completely unprofessional, constantly bumping into my head, making it impossible to relax. She ended the facial about 7 minutes early, which I didn’t even complain about—I figured I’d just take a moment to relax. But instead of letting me enjoy the time I paid for, she rushed back into the room and told me, “Honey, we’re done” in the most condescending tone. Apparently, the facials here are only 50 minutes, even though they are advertised as one hour. As if the experience wasn’t already bad enough, when I was leaving, the receptionist made it clear that I didn’t have to tip if I didn’t want to because I booked through Groupon—as if I didn’t have the funds to do so (even though I definitely wasn't planning on giving them a dime after that experience). What they didn’t know is that I was visiting in partnership with Groupon for a campaign, and I will be informing them of this horrendous representation of a so-called spa. The place is outdated, unclean, and it shows in the kind of workers they hire. If you’re even considering going here, save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else.

My fiance got Jeanette and he said she was amazing and did a great job. On the other hand, I got Jason and it unfortunately was one of the worst massages I’ve ever had, and I have had plenty of massages. I explained what I wanted at the beginning, and it seemed like he didn’t listen to me at all. I even asked during the massage if I could get more pressure and I was completely ignored.He also, didn’t even use oil and when he did, he put in my hair. It didn’t even seem like a massage and was disappointing. The customer service was terrible after. 5 stars for jeanette, 1 star for jason

(Wife): My husband bought a Groupon for this spa. It was a facial and massage. They were both wonderful! Receptionist greeted me by name which was really nice and got me water then moved me to their waiting room. I’ve never had a facial before and my esthetician was Ashley. I believe I waited for her no more than 5 minutes while she was setting up the room. She was very kind and informative. She let me know each step she was doing and nothing irritated my skin. I asked her question's about products she would recommend. She answered all and looked up products she would recommend in my price point. I fell asleep and I believe my snoring woke me up. I literally was glowing after! My masseuse was Jason. He was humorous and had great pressure! I asked for deep tissue and boy did I get it! I informed him about a sensitive spot on my lower back that I don’t want pressure on and once he got near it he quickly adjusted and accommodated me. I also never felt overly exposed with him. He adjusted the blankets exactly to which limb needed to be out and the rest was covered. And the head massage!! Yes! Be aware you will get oil in your hair and since I have curly hair I was ok. Can’t wait to go back! Loved my experience!

Went in today excited for the two hour spa package. Massage scheduled at 11 and facial at noon. Massage delayed she said she had to bring pillows to another room and didn’t come back until 11:20. She didn’t listen to the areas I wanted worked. Not a good massage but also finished at noon! What hap to my hour? Facial was good with Marjurie. I reported the time to the front desk and was told oh really I didn’t know that. Not the best customer service or massage quality. Book elsewhere!

I had my first facial with Marjuri, and it was an incredible experience. She was amazing, thoroughly explaining each step beforehand and consistently checking in to ensure I was comfortable during the exfoliation and extraction. The massage was incredibly soothing, making the entire session wonderfully relaxing. I highly recommend Marjuri – a perfect 10/10!

As someone with sensitive and fair skin I always get nervous about going in for a facial. Ashley truly was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable, recommended the best treatment for my skin concerns, and was gentle. 10/10 experience! Highly recommend seeing Ashley at this wonderful spa. She truly knows what she is doing and I’m very satisfied with my results.

I came here for a detox facial and while most of the facial went well, my esthetician scarred me trying to extract a pimple and left a deep red mark on my cheek. She mentioned it would disappear in a few days, however, it has now been over ten days and the mark shows no signs of disappearing. I’ve never seen a mark this deep before and will now probably have to go to a dermatologist to get it looked at. Because of this issue, I will not be returning.

I had very bad neck pain before seeing Jud. He was able to alleviate that pain very well with a one hour massage. He also gave me pointers on how to avoid developing the pain into the future. Highly recommend Jud!

I went for a massage on 6/16. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean. However, the massage room was a very uncomfortable temperature (COLD). The massage table felt like I was laying directly on cement. I had to ask the therapist if they used a heating pad on their table because it surely was not on. I asked for a relaxation massage however I told the therapist of my problems areas. She applied absolutely no pressure and the massage I received was basically a back rub for 90 minutes that my son could’ve given me for free. I am used to receiving VIP treatment at any spa with robes, bottles of water, etc. I am highly dissatisfied with my experience and will not return to this establishment. my back and neck are still in pain and stiff.

I went for my first time to the Hyde Park Massage and Spa the place is Very Nice! Very Clean, The Room big Nice and Comfortable! And my massage therapist was Cory Super Nice and the Massage was Wonderful 😊 definitely I will go back!!!

This is a really beautiful and relaxing spa. We were welcomed and treated with warmth and respect from start to finish. The massage rooms are calm, clean and inviting. My services started and ended right on time. My massage therapist Corey helped work out several kinks and I felt like butter at the end! My esthetician Donna was super knowledgeable and friendly. The facial was heavenly and I was glowing as a sipped my wine afterward and sat back with a sigh in a lovely white robe and slippers. Will definitely be back!

Appointments are easy to schedule. Reminders are set and confirmations received instantly. The therapist I booked with, Brianna Vera, was adamant on my experience being welcoming and healing. Thorough understanding of my body and past injuries were taken into consideration as to prevent further injury and also aid in my muscle recovery. I highly recommend Hyde Park Massage and Spa to anyone looking for a professional therapist wanting to help and assist in your body’s recovery and wellness.

I am not the type of person that likes to complaint or even think about leaving a bad review for someone. I was so looking forward to get a massage and a facial. Instead I had a horrible experience with the massage lady Jeanette DelliSante. She was extremely rude, unprofessional and she ended up leaving the place. The manager apologized and wanted me to rescheduled for a different date. I was so disappointed and irritated. They ended up rescheduling my session with a different person Jeanette cortes and she was great to me, also my facial was done by Marjurie and she was amazing. Please be more cautious when you hire your staff as it’s a bad reflection for your business.

I decided to try the new therapist, Janette. Wow is all I can say. Hands down the absolute worst massage I have ever had. I specifically asked her to avoid certain areas and she massaged the areas anyway. In addition to that, she complained about working. She also threw the massage oil bottle on the bed multiple times and I left covered in oil. I've never had a therapist use that much oil. There was nothing consistent or good about the massage. I left feeling more stressed and unfortunately irritated.

I had a really good feeling at first because of how wonderful the woman on the phone was. I used a Groupon which I think made a difference in the level of service my partner received. It was a 1 hour facial and 1 hour massage package. The facial she received from Marjorie was fantastic, but the massage? Not only did it start 20 minutes late but also ended 5 minutes early. So it was 35 minutes instead of 1 hour. Didn’t introduce herself. This person literally said “I have an appointment after this so I’ll try and give you as much attention as I can” and I just think that’s unacceptable. I’m absolutely livid. This was supposed to be a treat for my partner. Groupon, late, having a bad day whatever is your issue….the actual industry of spa and massage would be to prioritize the client, wouldn’t it? She should have received the full 1 hour included on the Groupon, but I do believe that’s why they didn’t care or treat her properly. Before dropping off my partner I had advised her to let me know if she truly enjoyed because we are looking for a regular place to subscribe to. The only reason why I did not go in and immediately voice my concerns is because she felt already like such an inconvenience to this place that I did not want to embarrass her further. Don’t expect anything close to spa treatment if you are scheduled and the masseuse has another appointment, I suppose. Will not be back or ever give full patronage to this place. Hyde park massage and spa, you should consider treating all customers professionally regardless of payment method since the goal of the Groupon is to sample the services and determine if we want to come back long term.

Let me start off by saying that this review is for both a massage and a facial but it is averaged for both. Massage- terrible! Facial-great! I started with the massage which was the worst massage I've ever gotten in my life. This was given by Janette. She seemed pretty upset to be working and did not greet me with a friendly demeanor but I didn't judge anything off of that. Once we got into the room there was a rolled up blanket on a chair in the corner and she said it was cold in the room and she could not get the heater on the bed to work. Not what you want to hear when you are about to get undressed. She said I could use the blanket if I wanted. Once in the cold bed, the bed's head rest was leaning down and all the blood rushed to my head. It kept clicking downwards whenever I adjusted it so she decided to just take it off and throw it on the ground which caused me to have to lay very awkwardly on the massage bed. Janette just complained about how this wasn't her equipment and can't be blamed by how faulty it is. To make conversation, I asked if she usually brought her own equipment and she said she had her own business which got shut down and now is working at Hyde Park Massage. She then said she got lotion in my hair accidentally and requested I do a deep cleanse to get it out when I get home...what? At one point she asked me to hang my head off the broken table so she could get my neck. Additionally, she mentioned that she usually likes massaging using oil but she ran out. She would misplace the lotion bottle on top of me and then spend time trying to find it, it was really awkward. The massage itself was very soft, uneven (meaning she worked more on one side than the other) and it only lasted about 40 minutes, not 60. Which in a way, I was grateful for. At the end she said she would walk me to where the facial would be but then disappeared. When I got to my facial with Marjuri I was a bit nervous, to be honest. But, she did a wonderful job! She was very prepared and kind. The bed was warm as I usually expect when receiving these kinds of services and the facial was very structured. She talked me through every part and did an amazing job! She gave me some recommendations on my skin routine and I would definitely get a facial from her again. When checking out, I mentioned my experience with the massage to the person at the front desk but she just made a note and did not do much else. I should have asked to speak with a manager or ask to get some kind of discount but there were people waiting for their services that I did not want to disturb and I was in a rush to get to my dinner reservations that I could not. Being newer to Tampa,, I was hoping to make this place my monthly spot but I will have to keep looking as one service definitely does not meet the standards of the other.

Lexi is a rude manager and very unprofessional. I had an issue with time missing from my massage bc I had to wait for a room to be ready and they were not willing to make it right. They were also avoiding my calls and not answering when I called, even though I was nice to them. She said things like “umm whatever” and “ I’m not even listening bc”, this is the most childish “manager” I have ever dealt with. She couldn’t even think of what I was saying bc she was so defensive, take a step back and listen and maybe you would be able to understand what happened. Unless this is how they do business, where they really don’t care if you get what you paid for. Facial was nice but I would avoid the place all together bc the stress of dealing with the staff ruins the relaxation you paid for.
