Best in Sarasota! I came in after a botched haircut from another place to see if idols salon could help me fix it and I came out with one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Heidi was great and the atmosphere was too. I would totally recommend and I will be coming back here in the future.

I feel swindled. When I made the appointment, I asked about prices. Heidi told me $45 for cut only, and $65 if I added a blow dry. I said I am a wash and go person and don't want a blow dry. I just want a cut. She said ok and set my appointment for early the next day. I repeat my intention in person at the precut consultation. I say I want a cut that enhances the "curl" in my type 2A/B hair. She corrects me several times in the visit that my hair isn't curly but instead is wavy. That's just semantics because it is clear she understands what I mean. I'm not dumb. I know Type 2 is wavy. It's still called a curl type. She was unnecessarily correcting me. Anyhow, I stated several times: 1. I wanted a cut that would scrunch well to enhance the texture for my hair type 2. I never use heat products (especially a blow dryer) on my hair. So at the end of my cut, she asked if she could blowdry my hair. I told her no. I am a wash and go kind of person, I don't dry my hair. I just scrunch it with some product, maybe clip the hair away from my face. She talks me into it because she needs to so she can "see how the cut looks." She proceeded to roll/brush my hair straight and made a few minor adjustments to the cut. I felt this was odd. Idon't wear my hair straight. I've never had this with any other cuts I've had, but I was trusting the process because she needed it. Then she charged me the extra $20. I don't blow dry my hair and never would, especially with a roller brush. As soon as I got home, I wet down my hair and scrunched it to air dry. If she needs to blow dry to see her work, then she shouldn't quote a price without it. I went in expecting to pay one price and was manipulated into paying for a service i didn't want because the stylist said she needed it to do her job. That's just exploitation. No thanks, Heidi. I'll go somewhere else next time. I hope the overcharge costs you more than you took from me.

Excellent salon! I owned a spa/salon myself for 15yrs and appreciate the quality of service and great cut and color I receive, especially with very curly hair. Not every stylist can cut curls correctly. Clean, bright location, good parking all figure in to the 5 stars.

Shortly after moving to FL, I came across Idols Salon as I was looking for a place to get my hair done. I gave it a try and was impressed from my first visit. Very inviting and everyone was friendly, but you must ask for Heidi!!! She is the best! I was looking for a change now that I was living in Florida, and her suggestion and styling were perfect! She is so sweet and accommodating to what I want. The prices are good too! Call for an appointment with Heidi today! 😃

Hard to find someone who can cut a guys hair the right way. A guy suggested Heidi at Idols hair salon. Im real picky about my hair ...so I went to her. She cuts it right....every time. Great job Heidi

As a mom with a toddler, it is hard to get to schedule some "me" time. I called to set up an appointment for Saturday. I asked if they did hair coloring and they said that they did. I told them I needed a full color and cut. I arrive today for my appointment, and they double booked me, then did not let me know that they don't take cards for payment. They also proceeded to tell me they don't do coloring after they said they did on the phone. To say I am livid and wasted my time is an understatement. Don't waste your time.

I had been in Sarasota for 5 years and kept looking for a stylist who would listen to me when I tried to explain how I wanted my hair to look. After being "sheltered in place" for 6 weeks due to Covid19, I needed a hair cut badly. I called Idols and got an appointment with Heidi. She's the best! I showed her a picture of me with how my hair should look and she worked her magic. I'm so happy I found her. She's very sweet and she took her time to make sure I was happy.

I moved to Sarasota 4 years ago and wanted to find a hair salon. I walked into Idol’s and my search was over. Elaine, Stacey and Heidi are EXTREMELY talented, very friendly and caring and I feel like I am watching artists at work...perfection. I could not recommend any of them more highly! I would give 10 stars if I could! I promise, you will not be disappointed! : )
