10/10 would recommend booking a facial with Kate Wheetman at Illume Day Spa. She was able to work with my skin and understand my acne, ultimately helping to heal and improve my complexion. I appreciated that she took the time to explain each step of the process, tailored the treatment to my specific needs, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout. Cate has given me the most luxurious, relaxing, glowing facials, and she also tints my ginger eyebrows and eyelashes to popping perfection every time. And she’s a lovely, caring person to boot. Highly highly recommended!

I had the best oxygen facial with Stara today. She was so welcoming and great to talk with during the treatment. The space is clean and beautifully decorated and her products smell great and made my skin glow. I left feeling radiant and so relaxed!

I recently went for a facial with Janna. She was so welcoming, we had a chat about my concerns before I got settled in the super cozy room. Janna explained what she was doing every step of the way, as well as why she was doing it. I was so comfortable and felt so well taken care of, and my skin looks great. All my questions were answered, and I didn't feel pressured to buy a ton of products (but I did add on microdermabrasion, which was TOTALLY worth it). Highly recommend!

I’ve now moved overseas but my TOP PRIORITY whenever I visit my family in Portland is to see Stara at Illume. Above everything else. My skin has never looked so good. The space is luxurious, the massage is heavenly, and she does an excellent job extracting. My skin is baby soft and glowing for weeks/months after.

Love, love the staff at Illume. Stara is amazing and really knows her profession. She has really helped me with my rosacea. My skin looks great and at 64 to be complimented on how beautiful it looks makes me feel great.

When you need a good brow wax, Perfectionism is the #1 quality you want from an aesthetician. As a person of impossibly high standards, I'm super picky about service providers. I've been going to Stara for waxing every month for years and am consistently delighted. My eyebrows are ALWAYS perfect. Her spa is welcoming, clean and relaxing. Stara is friendly, warm and professional. Most importantly, she is a knowledgeable and skilled beauty practitioner who uses excellent products and tools. I recommend her to everyone I know and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I received a gift certificate for a facial at Illume. I have received facials in the past, but never anything like this. I don't think I have EVER been more relaxed. In addition I was impressed that the lady knew so much about health and really informed me on how to take care of my skin. Highly recommend!
