Terra Anne at Illuminate is THE ONLY person I trust with cutting an coloring my hair! She is highly skilled at thick/curly cuts and styling, and balayage is natural and stunning. I get compliments on my hair all the time and that's because of Terra!

Lauren is utterly so fantastic and caring. She really knows how to make you feel special. I am a hairstylist as well, and there is no one else I would trust with my hair! The salon itself is gorgeous. The entire staff is kind and caring. I adore every appointment feeling like a client.

The owner Brandi cut my hair and did a wonderful job! Such an empathetic and kind person. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Glad to have found a wonderful hairstylist that can beautifully cut medium length hair

Saw Lauren and she created the vivid, purple hair of my dreams. The salon was so welcoming and calm. Would highly HIGHLY suggest Lauren and Illuminate Salon for any hair cut or color needs!!!

Had my first haircut today w Brandi. I felt very comfortable and welcome by Raquel as soon as I walked in. This salon was referred by my coworker and I couldn't be happier. Brandi listened to me and she knew exactly what I wanted and she delivered. Thank you Missy for your referral and thank you Brandi for an awesome job. I will be back in 3 weeks! Yay!!!

I needed a new hair stylist here in Charlotte and I was referred to Tara by a close friend. She..is..AMAZING! She was so inviting when I first met her it was like I have known her for a while. I love what she does with my hair, she does really well on blondes (me))! Everyone in the salon is so inviting and friendly, you can really tell they have a good group of stylists there. HIGHLY recommend this salon!

Since moving to Charlotte I've never found "my person" to do my hair. My best friend finally convinced me to give Illuminate a call and book with Rob and i'm so glad I did! He listened to everything I said and helped me make sense of what it was I wanted but was also incredibly realistic. If you find someone to do your hair who says they can make a drastic change in one session for cheap, then you're going to get what you pay for. Rob educated me on the best path to follow to get my hair where I want it as far as looks, but more importantly, how to do it and maintain the hair's integrity and health. After a horrifying experience at a local cosmetology school, I took a few months to let my hair recover a bit and Rob is helping me get back to beautiful hair! I could't recommend more! (p.s. the salon itself is gorgeous!).

Best stylist in Charlotte! Rob Murphy is nothing short of amazing, he has cut my hair for 20 years and I am always wowed. I constantly have people stop me to ask who cuts my hair. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment, you won't be disappointed.

Have been going to Rob at Illuminate Salon for 23 years and have never had a bad haircut or color. He is the very best. I drive 3 1/2 hours to have him do my hair. The receptionists, Michelle & Ginny, work very hard to accommodate you for an appointment.
