Today is my 3rd attempt at supporting this business. After paying 25.00 deposits, both times the stylist started an hour to 2 hours LATE. It is presently 7:14pm and my appoint was scheduled for 5:00pm. There is only 1 stylist in the entire building, who is currently doing a wig install. Time is valuable and I do not recommend this business.

Imagine by Bignons has repeatedly tried to make false charges to a CC that has never been to the business. In fact I’ve never been to NC. Recommend you avoid at all costs or pay cash.

The service is always impeccable. Mimi braided my hair for the second time and my hair was just as flawless as her first time braiding my hair. She is a very detailed and neat braider, I felt good paying for my hair; it was worth it!

I recently got my hair braided and found out while i was there that my hair was falling out from chemo medication. They were so supportive and made me still look great with no judgement. Kierra (not sure of spelling) spoke English very well, i will book her again, she was great. I have been going here since it opened up years ago and i have never been disappointed. I will always recommend this location and the braiders.

I have been a consumer of Bignons for 10+ years, however, my recent experience has resulted in me ending my business with them. I’ve called and left the manager, Desiree, 3 messages and she has not returned my call. I went to the south Tryon location to speak with her after the receptionist told me she was there. I waited for 30 minutes and finally asked that they have her call me. I was gone for 5 minutes and Chrissy calls me and rudely tells me that I have to speak with Desiree because she doesn’t handle disputes. It has been a week and no return call from Desiree or Chrissy. So disappointed in the service and lack of service recovery. I will post on every platform and share by word of mouth to my community of people to not choose this company for their hair service. Bignons, Desiree and Chrissy shame on you. $300 wasted!

TERRIBLE final product for such a simple concept: straight back cornrows. Sloppy job all around. Braids are loose with clumps of gel everywhere, parts uneven - took it out the very next day. You definitely get what you pay for.... and 3 hrs wasted.

I had a great experience! Camara did small knotless on my short pixie cut! The space was clean and everyone was helpful and nice! I LOVE my braids!!!!

I hesitated writing this b/c I don't usually do reviews- but after going to Bignon's for the last 6 years this last visit broke my heart & has me looking for a new salon. I was booked with a newly hired stylist that didn't know the technique for kinky twists - so the front twists were uneven and very amateur looking. So i submitted a complaint to management the same day via their website & management claimed they never received it. Then weeks later when i finally was able to speak to the management i was dismissed- b/c I kept the $200+ style I paid for; ON TOP OF THAT the stylist actually lied and said i was prejudiced against "african americans" doing my hair. I couldn't believe that she attacked my character just b/c she wasn't professional enough to take constructive criticism.... That blew my mind. So I hope the next persons visit is better than mine.

This was the worse first experience ever I’m never going back. I called early in the morning for an appointment at 2:30 for some Havana twist. On the phone with the manager I was quoted $200. So I said okay cool I’ll be there at 2:30. So when I arrived on time to be exact I informed the girl that was at the front. She took her sweet everlasting time. It took two people to checkout one person? So then I finally sat down about 10 mins later. Then they wanted to play who gone do my hair for another 10 mins. The girl didn’t start my hair until 3 pm.Then she came showing me the different sizes of braids I said do the size price I was quoted which was $200. She then said okay. So then she started doing my hair and I’m sitting there watching her in the mirror she making my parts all big and spaced out so I said what are you doing ? This not how I wanted. So then on top of that I had to be to work and I was told 4 hours ended up staying there for almost 7. Then it was time to pay and they gone try to charge me $230 when the back of my head is way different from my front. I will never go back. I’m very dissatisfied

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wish there were more than 5 STARS to give. Yesterday, I drove 3hrs to Image by Bignons salon - Charlotte, to get "TREE K BRAIDS by Kristy... Yay!!!! No regrets, I will be going back again and again. Everything was of top standard. The salon was clean and bright. The girls in the beautshop were very welcoming, friendly, and respectful. Kristy is charming and lovely, THANK YOU. I love my hair so much, it's the best hair style I have ever had. The hair quality and hair products used is well worth the money and time spent.

I have been a loyal customer since 2016 and have never had any issues. I generally go to N. Tryon but bc I moved to south Charlotte I would try the south Tryon location. I got my hair braided on 12/11. By 12/14 my entire back row had slipped out. I was told it was bc my hair was shorter in the back. The back row was put back in and I asked about the parting again bc it was all different shapes and sizes. She said the front was fine. 2 weeks later and my entire back is gone again and front has started to fall out. I waisted over $300 on these braids that didn’t last but 3 weeks.

I've been a regular for some time now. I usually go to the North Tryon Salon because I know I'm going to get exactly what I'm looking for. I paid $25 deposit and then had to pay a $40 deposit......resulting in $65 for deposit and I have the proof in my bank statement. My hairstyle was $300 + $15 for shampoo + &50 for length = $365 - the $40. My cost was $325!. I told the girls how I wore my braids, there was a picture on the wall. They preceded braiding my with a part making the front go to the sides. They didn't ask if I wanted a "part". North Tryon takes the necessary time to find out exactly what I want. I am very, very disappointed. I absolutely love Bignon's and I don't want to change where I get my braids done. I guess from now on, I will make sure I go to the North Tryon Salon to guarantee my hair will be like I want. Hopefully, the South Salon will pay a little more attention to the wishes of their customers.

Hello I have been coming to Bignon’s for 2 years. They did my hair in knotless braids, box braids & now I’m doing tree braids. I truly enjoyed the different styles. Especially the tree braids by Kristy is my favorite style. My hair styles usually last 6 - 8 weeks. Here are some photos of my different styles.
