I do believe that I was ripped off I paid $105 for nothing. When you messed up my hair how did my price from $85 to 105? I walked out with uneven hair no style I am so pissed off!!!! Never again they owe me a hair do!!! I should just paid for a shampoo and conditioning!!

I was stressing about my hair but thank god I was taken care of by Kayla she blessed me. She’s very professional and cheerful, need more stylist like that, was really satisfied.

It got progressively worse with each visit. The first visit cost $265. I got my hair braided and it looked great. I forgot to ask her to do my edges until she was half done with the front. When I asked her she got mad and said she wasn’t redoing the two box braids in the front of my head. She said she would finish it and I could do my own edges when it loosened up. The second experience destroyed my hair. She charged me $100 for doing my hair and I bought my own hair. She said she was doing a sew in and hyped me up. “It’ll be so cute!” But when I sat in the chair she got the glue out. I said aren’t you doing a sew in? She said she didn’t have time to do a sew in. I took her word that the glue wouldn’t get on my hair. But when I took down my weave my hair was covered in glue. My curls are gone and she did this knowing I shaved my head to get my healthy hair back. The third experience was for bohemian knotless braids with the first lady who did my hair at this salon. This time before she started doing my hair I asked for my edges to be done and she said she would do it just like the picture I showed her for $400. When she got to the front of my hair she said she doesn’t know how to do edges. She did my edges really bad. At the end all the hair hanging out was straight and the ends were undone. She braided it halfway down to my armpit the rest was straight, unbraided to the middle of my back. She said if she did it like the picture she would have to charge more. She also told me she’s not licensed. But she’s done a lot of people’s hair. It looked really bad and at the end she said actually the price was $440.

I have been really going through it and met Jamie a beautiful soul today. I had been trying to find a stylist made appointments had people cancel on me. Jamie took me right in and now I feel like an entirely different person. She is nice professional and the shop is very clean.

Don’t waste your time. Very unprofessional. Had an appt with Aerial. When I got there, she wasn’t even there. One of the ladies called and she was going to be 30min late. I elected to wait. When a full hour had gone by, I decided to leave. None of the other ladies apologized on her behalf, checked in on me, gave me an update, nothing. Obviously doesn’t care and very unprofessional.

I have never went to a beauty shop and couldn't wait to go back. The ladies in this shop are amazing DeAndrea(sorry if wrong spelling of name) did my hair and you knew she cared and gave me exactly what I ask for and then her style on it. The shop is beautiful and so clean. I have been searching for a shop and I am excited that I chose this shop!!!! I will forever be back🖤

Wonderful place, the ladies are light hearted, laid back and professional. The music and nostalgia in the atmosphere almost makes me forget, what’s happening in the world. They make you feel like you visiting a long lost good friend. And reminiscing about the good old days, the laughter is infectious in a good way. And I’ve yet to see a client not be happy When looking over the service they choose. And I always see something I’d like to try next. DAndrea slays my hair each and every time, she and all these ladies are force’s to be reckoned with!!!

Had an awful experience. The stylist offered to hang my jacket in the back closet before my service. There were two other ladies with their children in the building, but I did not pay them any mind. When it came time to pay for my service the 115$ in my coat pocket that I brought in went missing. I had to pay the stylist through Cash App, while being out of over a 100$ in cash. There has been no response from the stylist or owner at this point about the incident. I would encourage you to go elsewhere for your service, or lock your belongings in your car before entering the building, because apparently the staff steals.

Imaj, is wonderful . The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They took my daughter last minute and her hair looks amazing. We lost our stylist due to her moving and this has become our new hair haven.

I am so glad I found Jami. As a professional, I do not have time to sit at a salon for hours doing my hair. Jami is professional, efficient with her time. I have not noticed any double booking. I am always in and out of the salon at a reasonable time, she starts my hair promptly and I am always happy with the final product. I always look great and most of the time just let her style me as she pleases. She is also very friendly and makes me feel welcome. Also her salon is very clean and not too loud that you cannot get some work done while waiting in the dryer. I highly recommend Jami.

It’s been almost a week since I’ve went for the first time and my hair still looks amazing! Jami was amazing and I really appreciated how gentle and caring she was with my hair. The salon was very clean and the music was nice. In the past, my experiences with salons were far and few, and honestly quite unpleasant. It was such a welcoming change to be able to enjoy my visit and feel cared for and feel that my money was well spent! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will definitely be returning for another visit in the near future! Thank you so much Jami for the wonderful experience!

Pleasant environment ,nice decor, my experience with my hair stylist Aliyah was great. She is very professional and knows what she is doing. She also suggest products that will work well for your hair. I like the fact that she has knowlege and experience in natural hair and her prices are reasonable. This was my first experience with IMAJ Hair Couture and happy to say I will be back to visit Aliyah.

This was my first visit and WOW. Bri was my stylist and did an excellent job from start to finish. I went in for a pretty drastic cut. I was nervous and Bri put me at ease. Off the bat, Bri told me what she could/couldn't do. So few stylists do that. The wash was thorough. She was so patient when it came time for the cut. She listened to my input and checked in to make sure she was matching my vision. I save 5 stars for consistency, and since it was my first time, I can't speak to that. Will definitely be back! ----------- I went back and I was NOT impressed. This time, I went to Jami because I think she can do a fade. Bri could not -- which she told me on my first visit and I still very much appreciate Bri for that. My appointment was at 5:30pm. I called at 5:10pm to let Jami know I would be late, eta 5:45pm. I arrive at 5:50pm. She's braiding another person's hair and tells me to have a seat in the waiting area. Cool. I'm late, so I can deal with a little bit of a wait. Fast forward to 6:30pm. Jami finished the braid job, but had moved on to washing another client's hair. Clearly she's behind schedule. I ask her about the wait and point out that my appointment was at 5:30pm. She deflects and notes that I was late -- as if it's my fault that she's moved on to yet another client's hair. I remind her that I called ahead and point out that it's now an hour past my scheduled appointment. She says that they're running behind and that she'll start my wash after she's done with the person at the sink. I promptly left. If she was going to be defensive and try to blame me for her overbooked schedule, I couldn't trust her to hear me out if she was doing something to my hair that I didn't like. Mind you, the only thing Jami said to me from the time I walked in to the time I asked about my appointment was that I could have a seat. She only acknowledged she was behind when I flagged my wait. Clearly she expected me and her other customers to just rock with the delay as if we have unlimited time. I don't expect perfection. However, explaining the wait time upfront and not getting defensive when a customer inquires is the least you can do. I might come back. Might not. If you go here, ask for Bri.
