My experience wasn't so luxury! I was recommended to Ronnesha by Bernice for a service due to her being unavailable. I decided to schedule an appointment based off this recommendation. My experience was absolutely abhorrent! Her work space was filthy. She didn't listen well at all. I expressed to her I didn't want my closure glued down and her response was that's just how it had to be. I've never had a stylist force me to do something to my hair after I declined. The stylist was very unresponsive when contacted, but ironically stayed on the phone the length of my service. This caused her to burn my forehead with a straightening comb in which I sustained a 3rd degree burn the size of a quarter that needed medical attention. I was more than disquieted! I had a scheduled photoshoot and a gala to attend in a matter of two days. Her response was more than lackluster since she acted as though it wasn't a huge deal. She even continued her phone conversation after. Her response to me was that, "I've burned myself plenty of times and it would go away". As if that really meant something to me. Once the service ended she tried to over charge me due to some discrepancy on her website. I expected a different level of customer service, but clearly I was mistaken. I had to ask her for a refund since she never offered to discount my service. She then proceeded to tell me the following day that, she usually didn't issue refunds, but she could only give me a partial(half) refund, because she still did the work and offered a free service in the future. As if I would ever revisit this place. However, she issued a refund but it still wasn't for half my service. Also, when I took my hair down from the quickweave glue was all over my hair. Please be aware when patronizing here! I would post the pictures of the burn, but it's embarrassing. Truly was the worst experience I've ever had with a business. Update: Though, my experience was very poor. I want to acknowledge that Bernice reached out to me immediately to not only apologize for my experience, but to issue a refund for the remainder of my service. As well an additional service in the future. She exhibited a level of customer service and ownership that is greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your empathy!

I made an appointment with Bernice for a wash and restyle. When I walked in she did not speak just told me to go to the back of the salon. She washed my hair for a second and told to go to the front. I sat in her chair and she started blow drying my hair with a hand held dryer…I had a leave out sewin so I needed to sit under the dryer for at least 1 hour or more to make sure my braids were completely dry…..she then placed me under there for 5 mins and told me I was done. My hair and my scalp were SOAKING wet. She refused to put me back under the dryer so when I got home I had to sit under my dryer because my hair was soaking wet. To avoid my hair getting mildew….As of today I have loose tracks in my head and she was supposed to fix that at my appointment but she did not. I was very disappointed in her. I contacted her and she told me “come back tomorrow to sit under the dryer tomorrow”…I was going out of town for the holiday so that wasn’t possible and By then my hair could mildew. Since I couldn’t come back she did refunded me $20, but still that isn’t good enough for the horrible job she did….. I would not even want my dog to get their hair done by Bernice. If I could give 0 stars I would!!

My wife has taken the wig sewing machine class performed by Bernice and it has rolled over into the home! She can now sew things around the house which has been a huge help! She is literally a pro on the sewing machine and I have that class she took to thank for that.

Per Baya Knowles review... Her braids were SOAKING WET (not sure how the stylist missed it).. as many times as I've had sew ins I know the way its suppose to be maintained. Not sitting under the dryer to completely dry the braids isn't the way. She also has two tracks hanging out of her head.. the hair is now ruined because of the stylist lack of proper maintenance. I was definitely going to book with Bernice for my upcoming style.. but I am so glad that I witnessed Baya's experience first. Oh and not to mention she also BLOCKED Baya from booking after she brought to her attention that she messed her hair up. How professional is that? So she KNEW she had did wrong... don't waste your money at either location.

I don’t trust any other stylist to do my frontal or my wigs besides Kyndall. Trusted another stylist to do my frontal in the 757 once and it took over a year for my edges to grow back smh. So with that being said Kyndalls work is always neat, luscious, her hair provided is always on point & she will leave your edges on your head and not ripped out by glue. Keep up the good work. You have me as a client forever.

Ms Berniece did my hair for the second time and I only GOES TO HER NOBODY ESLE In the 757 she’s very motivational and she always love to help everyone she did my hair and she dyed my hair for me for Me to black for my birthday June 15 and the make up artist did my make up her name was dominque and so many compliments . I had my hair in for two months and it’s still in good shape so many people tells me don’t take my hair out it stills looks good ❗️

Totally awesome!!! Today was my 1st visit with Bernice @ her Norfolk salon and to say the least it was amazing. Her demeanor/personality was so welcoming and warm. I was a 8am appt and she was already there and working Yessssss Diva💃🏽💃🏽she's all about her business👄🙌🏽. Bernice K, always does an awesome job on my hair and she gives me excellent advice on how to keep my hair fresh. Prices are great plus she sells hair and hair products. Lets not forget about hair and style deals!!! Every month she has a different deal going on. Which helps me save a lot of money. Outside of her excellent work, her staff is really sweet and they're always making you feel at home. I moved here about two years ago, Bernice K was the first and will be the only person to do my hair! Book her or anyone else for services and trust me you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Bernice (the owner) for a long time now and I’m always satisfied ! She has such a warm personality and always so welcoming (her other employees as well) the salon is BEAUTIFUL and her prices are excellent with the work to match! You will not be disappointed!!
