CALLING ALL BLONDES FOR JASMIN: This is legitimately my first review EVER. I wanted to give a special to shout out to Jasmin because she knocked it out of the park. I've been getting my hair highlighted at Di Pietro Todd in S.F. for ten plus years because I lived there. I've always desired the cool toned blondes. Jasmin did exactly that and was extremely thorough. She's not only a gifted colorist, but she is such a kind person as well. It's refreshing! I'd gone to two salons prior in Portland and left with lackluster results. I will sing Jasmin praises because she is a talented woman. Not to mention she uses Goldwell color, which I think is one of the best. Thank YOU Jasmin! You are AWESOME!

Melanie Trayer at J A M E S has that magic balance of science, art, and hard-trained skill. She has an incredible eye for color, and is a constant student of her industry. I always feel amazing after she's done my hair and I LITERALLY get stopped by strangers complimenting me on it. Plus she understands the physics of cutting curls, which is a rare and precious thing.

I came to James salon years ago after a stylist elsewhere had fried 6 inches of my hair in green and orange tones trying to give me highlights! Jasmine fixed it in one go! She does better hair than anyone I’ve ever come across and is a true expert. I live out of state and still fly back to her to do my hair. No one even comes close. HIGHLY recommend Jasmine if you want gentle, expert color and an elegant cut that will last. She’s incredible.

Jasmin is a haircolor master! She has been doing my hair for nearly ten years and provides the best color service I have ever recieved. She is highly educated and passionate about what she does and it clearly shows. I definitely recommend her if you are looking to put yourself in the hands of an excellent stylist!

Great space and doors that you have to be buzzed in make it feel very exclusive. I've followed Lindsey and will continue to do so until I no longer have hair that needs to be cut. She always does a terrific job of giving me exactly what I want from my random descriptions and photos. She's friendly and efficient, and she's the only one I trust to give me a trim. Only downside is that she is so on trend and has the best style that I feel a little lame!

This review is to recognize Rowena Santos who just recently joined the team at James. Rowena has done my hair for almost three years. She is an amazing talemt. She is a great listener, very creative, she has vision, but always delivers on exactly what I want, even if I only know it is what I want after Rowena has colored or cut my hair. Bright, clean atmosphere with a lot of windows and natural light. Very relaxed in there, not over saturated with too many stylists and distractions. Loved looking at their photography on the walls. Lindsey has been cutting my hair for a year now and I've always been happy. Would recommend to anyone seeking a modern, but comfortable atmosphere.

Jasmine is the best! She is great at meeting you on your level and does AMAZING color. Jasmine is professional and always willing to over accommodate me. Such a professional.
