Tried this barber shop due to its good reviews on Google. Disappointed. They seemed to have hard time to cut my hair. Expensive.

I called in advance to make a hair cut appointment, and when I arrived, I was told by Tina that another person will do my hair cut and he was finishing up cutting the hair of a ~10-year-old kid. My wait ended up to be 45 minutes. I couldn't tell if there was any difference to the kid's hair the time I arrived and 45 minutes later. Well, my hair cut also took 45 minutes and it was completely unnecessary to take that long. While waiting, I saw Tina started on another customer who arrived later, who seems to be regular customer, speaking the same language as she does. They have no concept of time. I wished they had told me they were running late and I should come back 45 minutes later. They told another 2 persons who came after me, even before my hair cut started that it would just be a short wait.

After started growing a beard due to covid, Tina is the first person to do anything to my beard. Her VERY friendliness immediately placed my anxiety at ease and I left with a huge smile + tip. 😁😁😁 Will return! Highly recommend.

Been going to UPS and just noticed JBarber Shop. I went in to ask if I need to make an appointment beforehand for a haircut for my mom. The super friendly Tina, the owner, said yeah it's recommended. But, she told me today was not as busy, so I said I would bring my mom over in a couple hours. She then handed me a card with her numbers: one for call, one for text. So, 30 mins before going I texted her to let her know I will be coming soon. When we arrived, she greeted us cheerfully. And seated my mom. We then talked about the hair style and she proceeded. During the haircut, Tina talked to my mom and me to make sure the cut is to my mom's liking. Very caring. And Tina understands what type of haircut would suit a type of face. My mom really likes the haircut. She is happy. Highly recommend this barber shop!

Jessica is an absolute delight, she has consistently given me great haircuts. I recently moved to Oakland and after trying a couple places up here I have decided to make the drive down to SJ once a month just for her haircut.
