I was very clear about how I wanted my hair to be cut and they did the complete opposite. I voiced my unhappiness, but was made to feel disregarded. I was greatly disappointed that they couldn’t do a simple layered haircut.

I came to J Christopher Salon based on the reviews and they did not disappoint! My stylist was Phillip. He & Christopher were so welcoming & authentic from the moment I entered their salon. My stylist, Phillip has over 30 years of experience in Paris, DC, & New York. He was so attentive. He listened & took great care in his work. He had great conversation & energy. He took his time to make sure my hair fell well and framed my face based on my texture and preference. His attention to detail was honestly so lovely. I felt seen and comfortable. The blowout was flawless as well. I'm honestly so happy with my new cut and the experience that I plan to make a trip up to NY from DC just to get my hair cut here again. 10/10 I keep flipping my hair around! 😁 It's so stunning! 5 years getting highlights & haircuts with Christopher… this review is long over due! The absolute best! Highlights give me life especially in the winter, and grow out amazingly. And I love spending time in the salon. I moved to Texas and literally fly back to NYC to see him.

Absolutely lovely salon, and lovely J Christopher and his staff, too.. had a hair cut and demi permanent color with James- he got my color perfect. The blow dry afterwards was very flattering, too. Can’t wait to come back!♥️

Cristian was amazing! He was able to get my color exactly how I wanted it. He is the color queen 👑 He did not rush and made sure I didn’t leave until I was fully happy with my hair! Amazing costumer service and amazing hair stylist. I’ve been searching for a great place in the city, and I have found it! Would highly recommend!

I have been seeing Christopher at J. Christopher for about 5 years now. I couldn’t recommend the salon enough! My hair has never looked better in my entire life! I have reddish blonde hair and Chris always nails the highlights 10/10 recommend J Christopher salon. I get compliments for DAYS on my hair. Just yesterday someone told me that my highlights were so perfect it looked like I was wearing a wig!!! Love you Chris and J Christopher!

This review is long overdue! I needed to cover up stubborn greys before my work trip and they were able to squeeze me in last minute. Cristian gave me a fresh and beautiful color. It was natural and the style was chic. He's professional and friendly. I'm definitely coming back!

Cristian is absolutely AMAZING. It's not easy making the switch from one salon to another, but I did over 10 years ago and he takes the time and care to make sure you look your best. Aside from being an amazing stylist, he's also incredible with color and his training & suggestions will make you leave the salon feeling wonderful. Chris the owner, is equally as wonderful. A+

Cristian is the best in the industry - color master. He will never let you leave the chair until you and him are happy with the color. I look forward to seeing him each time and exploring color ideas. He can do it all including haircuts, braids, extensions and so on. I highly recommend him to all - simply the BEST!

J. Christopher is a wonderful salon and one of the only places in NYC to offer Biolagé Raw products. The service is exceptional. Cristian has been my hairstylist for years and wouldn’t change for anything. He has never given me a haircut that I did not absolutely love and his extensive knowledge of coloring styles and techniques is unbelievable. I recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a stylish haircut or color for a competitive price.
