Nice place and Justin did and amazing job on my color. Marissa did a fantastic job on the cut and style. My hair looks exactly like the picture I brought in! Highly recommend.

I’m regretting leaving this review but not for what you’d expect… Melodie is the most kind, bright, bubbly, and talented young woman I’ve ever met. When I tell you I stopped looking for another stylist the moment I met her, I’m not joking. She’s so bubbly and fun and makes the appointment just that. She’s so kind and her aura alone just makes you feel comfortable and safe. She can literally do anything from color, to cuts, even mens cuts! I’ve never left her chair disappointed. She’s always communicative and lets you know if what you’re striving for is a multi appointment ordeal, and even then so she’s so worth the money. I’m regretting leaving this review because I know it runs the risk of her books filling up faster (which she totally deserves) and I’m selfish 🤣. But no in all honesty if you’re on the fence and need a stylist that you can trust, RUN don’t walk to Melodie’s chair, you absolutely will not regret it. I’ve always sent everyone I know to her and will continue to do so because she’s quite literally THE BEST!!

This is the second time I've visited Melodie, and I am so so happy with the experience. She is a delight to chat with and puts you at ease from the moment you walk into the salon. She is genuinely interested in understanding what you want and trying to get you as close to those expectations at possible. I love that she asked such specific questions to help us both understand what it is I was looking for and to craft a plan. She also walked me through the process by explaining what each step or product was for, which I really appreciated. I am thrilled with my cut and color, and I left feeling like I have a new friend who is truly rooting for me to be my most confident self. :) Thank you so much, Melodie!

Danni was my stylist. I initially went in for a simple haircut, but decided to dye my hair as well since she had time. Throughout my four hour service everyone was sweet and asked if I needed anything. Once my hair was done, she styled it for me and provided me tips with how to recreate it. Great atmosphere! So happy with how everything went. 😊💜

I started going to J Gilman Salon after the pandemic and continued until my husband and I moved out of state. Nikki was my stylist, even before the pandemic, in fact, I followed her there when she left her previous salon, she did my hair for at least 4 or 5 years. When I first went to Nikki, she actually helped fix a disaster haircut from a different stylist and by doing that I knew I was in good hands. She always did an amazing job by putting her clients first and making them feel special in and out of her chair. It was a sad day when I told her I wouldn’t be returning, but we’ve kept in touch and I couldn’t ask for anything better in a stylist. She is a true gem and does whatever she can to connect with her clients on a personal and professional level and to me that’s very important, especially someone you’re putting trust and faith in to give you a desired look/transformation. I’ve attached some pictures to show off her work. To this day, I still show these pictures to people, even though I no longer have the red, I’m still proud of how the color turned out. If it wasn’t for Nikki, I don’t think I would have ever tried coloring my hair something other than blonde. She helps bring out a person’s creativity on a blank canvas.

LOVE the haircut and color I get from Nikki Yates at J. Gilman! She takes time to understand my hair needs, is careful to protect the integrity of my hair, and makes sure that I leave happy every time I see her! If you want a great haircut and an experienced colorist, I highly recommend Nikki!

Melody was delightful!! Did such a great job. She fixed everything and made my cut & color exactly what i was looking for. Highly recommend her for your hair needs. She even recommended me shampoo to use and gave after care instructions. Not to mention their front desk was super nice and accommodating!! High level customer service.

Justin and his partner helped by modeling for our photo shoot and we were so appreciative that they took the time to model, do hair and makeup! They looked phenomenal and we loved all of the images! Thank you J Gillman salon 🥰

Where do I begin? The warm welcomes at the door? The decor? The top shelf salon brand products? No; I’ll start with a first hand experience. Short notice, 2 days before a wedding I was in, the owner himself squeezed me in next day! (I know I procrastinate) Not a hair out of place! I’d give 10 stars if it was possible!
