Jina is simply fantastic! Making an appointment was a breeze – just a quick text detailing what I wanted, and she was on it. She had me show pictures of what I wanted my end result to be and she gave me honest opinions. Her prices are fair, and the results? Absolutely stunning. In just an hour, she nailed the toner and haircut perfectly. I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

i saw jina back in april and she is amazing. i have thick asian hair and have always had trouble with other stylists not bleaching/cutting my hair properly but she did such a wonderful job with the teasylights and the hair cut. i’ve also seen steve before, and he does great haircuts as well. i definitely recommend both of them :) (especially if you have asian hair)

20240524 Jessica is great! She recently started working here almost a year ago. I follow her everywhere... for over a decade. She's very sweet and very patience. If you want a specific hairstyle, it's best to bring pictures. I like that she will give me her honest opinion if I pick a style or shade of highlights that might not look as nice as I thought, Jessica would always share with me her opinion and her recommendation. So far, her recommendation has been perfect for me. Her company is "Hair by Jessica". You can find her in Instagram. 🥰💇‍♀️💇‍♂️ 20230601 Today was my first appointment with Jina. It was such a great experience. Jina made recommendations and ensured that she understood what I wanted. She asked if I wanted just highlights, or high and lowlights for more dimension; something I haven't thought of in a long time. She suggested that I should have high and lowlights done once a year because repeated highlights would blend the hair (look like it was dyed rather than highlighted - hope I explained it correctly). After hours of full high and low lights, before she cut my hair, she asked how I wanted cut again, which helps confirm what I wanted. She was very careful about not overcutting my hair. After she cut a couple of inches off, she asked if I was ok with the length. I wanted it a little shorter and she cut some more which turned out to be a perfect length. Then she framed my face the way I wanted and did some long layers. It's like she could see what I wanted that explained in words. I washed my hair again after I got home because my scalp was a little itchy. I'm a little sensitive to some hair products. Even expensive hairspray can make my scalp itch. This morning I styled my hair and I love the cut! Just as I wanted. Jian is also very personable. I had a great conversation with her and got to know her. She is very honest and will sure her opinion with you. Just know that she meant well and wants you to look the best and be happy woth her service. She also strives to deliver excellent service and create happy customers. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask her. She was very patient with me. My hairstyle took a few months off, and she referred me to Jina, her friend, until she returns to work. Jina is very nice and informative. She was very detailed in understanding my current hair situation. I'm looking forward to her doing my hair in a few weeks.

I’ve been going to Jina to get my hair done for a few years now. I started going her around 2019-2020 when she worked at a previous salon and followed her to the studio when she and her husband opened it. She is definitely a hair fairy! I’ve always been so happy with the results of my hair. I’ve done crazy colors like purple/pink to just a regular brown/blonde hair color. She always makes sure to get as close as possible to my desired hair color without damaging my hair! I also have super thin hair and she knows how to cut/style my hair to make it look fuller and have more volume!! I always recommend her to my friends if they’re looking for a good hair stylist/colorist

I worked with Jina to get highlights and she did a phenomenal job. With detailed consultation prior to the appointment, which allowed me get a clear picture of what she would deliver; I was very happy with the result knowing it was exactly what I wanted. It was very worth it. I highly recommend this place!

It’s always a bit nerve wracking to try and find a new hairstylist after moving, but I was so impressed by my experience here. Jina took time to understand what I was looking for, my price range, and what I did/didn’t like about my hair. She was honest about price and expectations throughout. And the final product was just what I was hoping for. Highly recommend!

Amazing!!! I had a cut w/ Jina and it is perfect!!! I absolutely love that she sat me down, before washing my hair, to feel it, ask about it, clarify, and make suggestions for me. It turned out exactly how I wanted it, and I will definitely go back and bring my 2 girls too. I have already shared her info with my neighbors. If you have any doubts, don't, she is great!

I have not had any luck with hairstylists in this area until I found Jhairstudio. I have followed Jina on Instagram for a while, but ended up making an appointment with Steve due to availability. Let me tell y'all, Steve is a magician! He is so talented at what he does. He transformed my drab, frumpy hair and had me walking out of the salon feeling fabulous! He cut my hair exactly as I requested, double checked that it was at the length I wanted before continuing, and made helpful suggestions on how to achieve the look I wanted. I have lots of frizzy, baby hairs and he gave me tips on how to care for my hair. He's also friendly, courteous, and easy to talk to. Definitely check out J Hair Studio for your hair needs!

If you are looking for a hairstylist, Jina is the one! She takes her time listening to you and give you the best style you can achieve. Very meticulous and detail oriented, does not rush, dedicate her time only to you to make your hair look fabulous(and feel fabulous too)! I have never been so pleased with my hair and the color and style came out to be exactly how I wanted! 100% recommend Jina!

Jina is not only a very talented hair stylist, but she also runs her business in a transparent and honest way. Right off the bat during our consultation she wanted to make sure we planned for a realistic outcome based on my length and old hair dye, as well as my budget so there would be no surprises. I really appreciated that honesty and attention to detail. She so clearly cares about her client’s happiness and also the integrity and quality of her work! Ive been looking for a korean hairstylist in the DMV for years and I finally found the perfect one. She is very talented when it comes to coloring. As someone who has had my hair dyed for decades, she is the real deal and clearly understands how dye changes over time and how colors layer. I can’t say enough good things!

My first visit to J hair studio was amazing. I made the mistake of cutting my own bangs and needed to fix the disaster. My appointment was with Jina, and she was incredible! I am super picky with my bangs, and I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she cut it perfectly, it was EXACTLY what I wanted! I love how she was very honest about her recommendations and what would look best on me. She was very professional and every time she did something she would check with me first and keep me updated on what she was doing. I will absolutely be going back! Wonderful experience and I’m so grateful!

One of the best haircuts I’ve had. Steve did such a great job with my hair and thoroughly understanding what I wanted. I have thick and frizzy hair and he made the perfect adjustments to the cut to get the style I wanted. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite place for a haircut! Steve and Jina are both super friendly, professional, and know a lot about making your hair look and feel good. I'm an Asian guy and I get quality haircuts here every time. Prices are fair and I definitely recommend making an appointment so that you get the proper time and attention. You'll walk out feeling ready to film in a Korean drama.

We were so lucky to get a walk-in appointment with Steve before the holidays. He did an amazing job with my boyfriend’s hair! He asked questions to really understand what he wanted and how he styles his hair. He and Jina were so professional, polite and attentive. The salon was clean and modern. I’m definitely planning to go back and get my hair done soon! UPDATE 9/22/22 I finally returned to get my hair done and Jina was amazing. She accommodated my schedule, took her time, explained the process, and she was so nice and professional. I'll be recommending Steve and Jina to everyone I know!
