10/10 would recommend anyone to go to J James, especially if you have locs! He knows what he is doing and has been doing it for YEARS! Very professional, great atmosphere, reasonable prices and if you're acting right he'll leave you with a few extra laughs too lol

Been going to J's salon for years. He did my starter locs and has nurtured them over the years. My hair has grown like weeds and is super healthy! I am guaranteed a unique style every time I go and walk out feeling like royalty

So glad I found this place. I've had my locs for 14 years and refused to go to a stylist. Unfortunately, my hair became so damaged, I couldn't fix it. Looked around for other stylists in my area, but didn't see any good reviews like this place. J James fit me into his already busy schedule.Definitely recommend! My hair got twisted and had some locs reattached. Years of damage gone! Will be returning. Update July 15, 2023 Been going here for over a year now. Still love this place!

The best hairologist in Sacramento!!! JJames Unisex Salon has great vibes. Not a style that Jerome can’t do!!! His care for hair is untouchable!!! Jerome also have stylists in their own suite that specialize in color and braiding. Coming soon will be nail technician. 1 stop shop. When you leave you will know you got the full experience that you expected!!! 10 star salon!!!

What can I say about my stylist Felicia! She's the best. Takes excellent care of my scalp and hair. I love how she styles my hair, how attentive she is to addressing my hair needs and always helping me take care of my hair. I've never been in the salon more than 2 hours from start to finish. The owner is very nice and also an amazing stylist as well. You can tell that this place is something special. Thank you for your wonderful services.

J James is THE place for hair. The shop is immaculate, appointments are made using an online system, and Jerome is an absolute professional who knows hair. I moved up from the Bay Area and wasn't sure who to trust my 16-year-old locs with, but I made the right choice!

Under the old fit me in system, I had no problem waiting to be "fit in". Can not have a lot to say about the service if it doesn't start at the appointed time. Your customers time is valuable, if an appointment is made honor it within 15 mins Max. I sat I lobby for 45 mins after being up early on Saturday to make this 9 AM appointment, waisting over an hour of my time. Had to leave without the service as I have other commitments in the day. Very unprofessional, to waste your clients time and leave them without the service due to timeliness. Hopefully this will improve.

I've been going to this salon for about six years now. J James is very professional and his shop is always clean. Never any hassle with booking and keeping appointments. He makes it a very fun and welcoming environment. If you have locs J James is the only way to go ✊🏾
