Jenny did a great job at cutting my curly hair and seemed really experienced in what she does. She also took her time to teach me different methods on how to wash my hair more efficiently and improve my routine to make my curls look better. Will be returning!

I got my hair cut and colored by missy!! She was so amazing and made sure she got my hair to what I wanted too even though I had red box dyed hair. She is so sweet and I love my hair!

I have been going to this salon for many years and Jenny is the absolute best. It is very few and far between you will find someone as knowledgeable as her. Jenny not only takes great pride in providing the utmost care for your hair, her professionalism and attention to detail is uncharted. If you reside in the Katy area and are serious about your hair, this is the place. You will not be disappointed.

Jenny is the best hairdresser I’ve ever had and I’m so grateful I found her almost 10 years ago. She always knows exactly what my hair needs to look and feel it’s best. Her knowledge, skills and passion are amazing and I always leave every visit feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend!

This was a pretty bad experience for me. I can't in good faith recommend this place for curly hair in any way. My curls looked horrible when I left. Not only was I shocked by the advice I was given for my curls, but the "special product from Italy used exclusively in the salon" did damage to my hair. It basically stripped it. I could feel the effect AS my hair was being washed. Today I have dried sections of hair all over my head that need deep conditioning treatment. Additionally the cut I was given was not great. It was a basic trim and didn't really do anything for my curls. This is very frustrating because I was charged more because she's a "curl expert". I gave two stars instead of one because she at least didn't butcher my hair. However this is in no way an expert cut. To start she upped the price by $40 right off the bat. From the moment I sat in the chair she was extremely rude and condescending. She told me my color looked terrible, she gave me a lecture on hair washing, she turned me around in the mirror and pointed out everything wrong with my hair. I can admit my hair looked rough that day, but she was definitely out of line. Additionally there was never a point where she asked me to explain why my hair looked like this, or even listened to what I had to say. It also never occured to her that I might LIKE my color or the style of my hair. I tried to explain that it had been a long time since I had my hair cut (8 months 😳). I also tried to explain my weird curl pattern and how it effects my regrowth. She straight up cut me off, argued with me and said "no sweetie" more than once. I'm not going to argue with someone I don't know in a random salon about the hair I live with every day, so I just stopped talking. It didn't phase her. She also didn't listen when I tried to explain what I wanted. I told her I could show her a picture and she said "no I understand". She didn't because the cut I got was not what I asked for. When she started trashing my last stylist she crossed a line. Not only was it ridiculously unprofessional, but my last stylist was amazing. I always happy with my hair, and she has NEVER made decisions for my hair without making sure it was what I wanted. Overall it was just bad. I know my hair really well and spent a lot of time figuring out my curls. Iwas trying to explain my problem areas and she didn't want to listen. Because my hair grows ridiculously fast, this is going to be problematic in about two weeks. I will at that point have the exact same issue I had when I walked in today. Overall I was really disappointed and angry when I left. It was really clear she was trying to upsell me but her tactic was to tell me I looked disgusting so I would feel self conscious and panick purchase her services... I went home and rewashed and styled my hair. It doesn't look great, but I guess at least all the dead ends were cut off.

I highly recommend my stylist, Jenny, 1000%. She is truly an angel when it comes to taking care of our hair. I can personally attest to her exceptional work. When I first met her, my hair desperately needed help. Within five months of her treatment, my hair was thick, clean, and healthy. I could never thank her enough. Even if I try, Jenny is the sweetest, most professional, and most welcoming business owner I have met.

The 5 stars are for my curly haircut with Jenny. I took my time writing this since I wanted to make sure my hair stayed equally good looking days after the service. My curls are definitely in better shape, she listened to my request of keeping the length and making the curls pop out. A little bit of product and diffusing is giving off a beautiful finish. I also tried blow drying it into waves and that looked fantastic too. So thanks, Jenny! I will be back!

I had the best experience with Jenny creating a custom grey blending for me. My greys were washing me out, and she matched my hair to the perfect warm tone for my skin color! So had my first hair emergency yesterday and I was recommended to see Jenny at J L’Art Salon. I had Matt’s in my hair for the first time and could not get them out. Jenny and her team worked painstakingly for hours getting the knots out and saved my hair from having to be cut off. They also gave wonderful helpful hints on how to care for my hair properly with hormone changes and to prevent nots and frizz. After tackling the beast that was my hair I was washed and given a wonderful haircut. My hair feels lighter , smoother and more healthy. She also recommended some great products to use to keep the health of my hair going. I was very grateful for all the help , incite and care that went into my appointment and my hair.

For all the hair loving ladies: @davinescolor has transformed my hair. This is about six weeks after my last appointment which is incredible when it comes to highlights and lowlights. Not only is the color amazing but the products are some of the best products on the market. I have used everything - Kerastasé, Oribe, Aveda, Olaplex, and many other luxury hair brands but nothing has come close to the results achieved with davines. I am not trying to brag I just cannot believe the smoothness and shine my hair has still after 6 weeks! My hair stylist, Teodora @jlartsalon is exceptional and I love her! It’s been over a year now that she has been doing my hair and I get so many compliments like I used to when Joss did my hair. Hair is part of my identity and I lost so much and had so many problems during COVID related to anxiety and stress. It was a repeat of when my dad died. Maybe men don’t understand this but hair is a very big deal to women, it is a big part what makes us feel feminine & sexy and reveals our personalities. It’s something we always have power over and can control. Sometimes, it’s hard to work with, like mine. I have naturally curly hair and if I let it be natural I just look like a mop head. So it is nice to have a brand and a stylist help us keep it in check so when we decide to go all out we know our hair is gonna be what we want it to be!

This is by far the best salon that I have worked with. Jenny, the owner, does everything possible to please the client as well as make sure that she keeps your hair healthy. I have hair extensions with fine hair and she creates techniques to make it work. You should give it a try!!

Isabel is so good with getting your color perfectly right. I always leave the salon with great, natural looking color, and healthy shiny hair. She rocks blow-outs too. Would highly recommend.
