Great Russian nails, my nail tech (Vicky)did an amazing job, I am super picky about nails and they turned out perfect. Not sure how much nails cost here in Chicago as I live in Canada but worth the price. Wish I lived here to come regularly but will visit again next time I’m back! Also coffee and sparkling water offered which is cute. 10/10

UPDATE! The manager reached out and was kind enough to offer my next service free of charge after my previous experience. This time, Tonya did my nails and she was great. Very professional and thorough. It’s been about 10 days and so far so good! My nails (pink) still look great after being in water on vacation for 5 days. My first three visits were great, I did the Russian manicure with strengthening and removal with Zara and the dazzle dry pedicure with Nura. My nails lasted 4-5 weeks each time. My most recent visit was awful. Zara wasn’t available (maternity leave, I believe) so I tried a different tech, Ayana. Despite pointing it out to her during the service, very little cuticle work was done. 3 days in, the polish is peeling off. I go back and they repaint that nail. The next day, the same nail has little bubbles in it. 2 days later, another nail chips and the strengthening gel is lifting on another one. After about a week, 2 more nails have chipped on the sides so I’ve had to re file and shape my own nails. Disappointed is an understatement.

This is my second time at this nail salon. I will say I’m impressed considering I have been doing the E-file mani/pedi for about 6 years. A friend referred me to J Salon so I decided to go. I was traveling far north, about an hour for my services, sometimes longer at the place I usually go to and this place is literally a 15-20min drive. The quality is far beyond my expectation and the prices are not a deal, but a STEAL for their services. I’ve had 3 different techs and the service has been top tier each visit. Needless to say those long drives are over. J Salon, See you soon!

There are only few places where I go to do my nails due to sanitation and sterilization of tools. I know first hand how tools are sterilized and how nail artists do their job. Plus they always offer free services for being a hand model for their new hire interviews or content which I like. And almost always my nails turn really good. Today I got my nails done with Masha for the second time, and she was great! She did a little different than I usually would get, but liked her way too. The receptionist welcomed warmly like an old friend, offered refreshments, help with my baby as well. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

Best nail experience ever! Angela and Taya both do great work - very meticulous and perfect was amazing she slayed my nails so hard and was kind and thoughtful. First Russian manicure ever and I loved it.

Omg I am just in love with this place! I’ve been a regular customer, and this salon never disappoints! The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing, and the staff is always professional and detail-oriented. My nails are always flawless, and the service is consistently amazing. Stopped going here a couple months ago; Started noticing a greenish color to my nails. Thankfully I noticed and as soon as I stopped getting my services done here my nail health is better and I thankfully didn’t lose any nails or have to deal with nail fungus. Places like this should be shut down.

Have been a loyal customer almost for a year now and they never disappoint you!! My nails have never looked this good before, I go every 3weeks with my mani and every nail artist is truly an artist. They pay such a close attention to details and your wishes about everything; salon is very clean and nice-looking, staff is always nice and polite. Will always be returning customer!! I had an amazing Russian Pedicure I will be returning. salon is very clean neat and quaint. Very professional. I am editing my review because yes, my first service with Asel was AMAZING. Unfortunately, my appointment with Masha was awful and the manager or whomever monitors the reviews keep removing my review (the must use a service that allows them to remove bad reviews. Unscrupulous companies have offered me to pay to use the service for my business and I declined because why would a company do this is they are honest... I am starting to wonder because my last two reviews have been removed by someone from J Salon) Once again, I have a great appointment with Asel, I made a return appointment for 3 week later and unbeknownst to me, they scheduled me with Masha. And as displayed in the last review pictures that was removed, Masha did a terrible job. Instead of taking the L and apologizing, J Salon just keeps removing my review and this is terrible and unethical. J Salon, I am taking a picture of this review (since I don't have any proof of the last two that you removed) and I am going to show this to you and look for it when I come for my appointment with Asel. Instead of worrying about your reputation, how about just speak with the technicians about what they did wrong. And for the record, I tipped Asel $20 and even though she did a horrible job, I tipped Masha $10 after I showed her what need to be corrected, and she spent maybe a minute or two trying to fix the issue and walked away to prepare for her next client. Again, as stated in my last review that was taken down, I am angry that I am on a cruise and my feet look so bad that I am wearing closed toe shoes... Do better J Salon

I have been to salon several times, I have seen Masha, Tori & Viktoria, they are all so kind and consistent in their work. All 3 have done an amazing job. Their customer service is AMAZING, they truly care about providing a great experience as soon as you enter their doors. I have referred my daughter and now she is in love with salon and Irina. I hope one day they expand & become a full service salon (eyebrows, waxing, lash lifts, kids manis, etc.) so I can spend all my money there :). Thank you all for being amazing and going beyond to make the experience a great one!

I’ve been to J salon probably about 3 to 4 times in the past year. The first time was great service however the second and third time I asked for minor changes on my nails and the nail artist gave me an attitude and asked why I didn’t tell her earlier when it was literally her adding a thicker layer of French tip. Then I returned for my fourth and final visit to get my nails done for my engagement. I had a gel extension and a pedicure appointment with my sister. I made sure to book us the same appointment and then when my sister sat down, they told her they could not do gel extension. Even though both of our bookings were for gel extension appointments. So she did not get what she wanted. After about a couple of weeks, I noticed a white growth on the corner of my toenail. I kept an eye on it and noticed after about a month that underneath the nail was completely black and my nail was falling off with about half of it was gone. I got a toe fungus from getting my pedicure done here and lost the whole nail. They don’t have running water for the pedicure tubs so they fill it up in the back room and bring it out to do your pedi . Unfortunately, I will not be returning to J salon. There is a lot of things that they need to change in regards to customer service, cleanliness, and overall quality of business.

Twice I walk into the salon which means the doors are still open and twice I was denied service. I see all the good reviews and that’s great… but as an African American when this happens a second time I find myself wondering if it’s just me. Especially since there were still multiple other patrons sitting in chairs before my eyes. Not much of a review writer but I felt so offended I needed to do something to release the frustration I feel in this moment. I do hope the customer service will improve. Even though I live a block away I guess I won’t be going back here. Terrible treatment!!!!
