I don’t always know exactly what I want but somehow they’re able to read my mind and do an excellent job with the cut. Tapanga makes sure the hair cut makes sense for what I want.

I am a huge fan of this salon, and I have had such wonderful experiences with each service I have had done! The salon itself is clean, cute, and cozy. It is very close to campus, super nice for any OSU students. All of the ladies at J Salon are extremely kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about their practice. Kyra is a queen! I have had facials, chemical peels, face and body waxing, and eyelash lifts done by Kyra. I have continuously been impressed by how amazing they all turn out. Kyra’s work is done professionally, and you can tell she really cares about her clients. Tapanga has cut, toned, and styled my hair before, and I have never loved it more! She is easy to talk to and gave great recommendations for hair care. I love coming to this salon, and I highly recommend it to all of my friends!

I've had cuts here with Brynn, Lanie, and Tapanga. Each experience has been positive, and I'll definitely go back for future cuts. Cute and clean space, easy online appointment management.

Very easy to schedule and for payment! Ask for Lanie - very professional and ultimately a hair WIZARD! Getting a haircut an be stressful because you never know if it will come out how you want but Lanie engages you to find out exactly what you want.

I have been to 4 different stylists at J Salon over the last few years & every single one has been great! I got my hair done on Friday & asked Malorie to be careful around a scar on my ear & she babied it more than I do! She was so considerate, careful, & kind about it. I didn’t feel insecure when I showed it to her(it’s not the prettiest) either! Another time, I went to Annie & her previous appointment went over time. I had somewhere to be, so I cancelled the appointment, but she got me in the next morning before the salon even opened as an apology for her appointment going over! Seriously - never a bad experience. Super down to earth girls who just want to make everyone feel good!

I absolutely love this place and this review is way overdue! Last year I was diagnosed with cancer (beat it!) and decide to come here to get my hair cut short before it started falling out. I was with a few friends and family members and two really sweet women (unfortunately I forget their names) worked on me. My hair was fairly long to start out, and they let me experiment with a ton of different lengths before giving me the short cut I wanted. They were extremely patient while we got pics and vids and even let me shave off some of the hair myself which was fun! After cutting off 11 or so inches THEY TOLD ME THE CUT WAS ON THE HOUSE! They deserve all the praise they get! They did an amazing job with it as well :) It was so cute! Definitely coming back here once my hair is a little longer!!

I absolutely love this salon. I go to OSU and decided to try it one day because it's right next to campus. The girls who work here are super friendly and do a great job! I'm always so happy with my hair when I leave. I would recommend this to anyone who goes to OSU or who lives in Columbus in general!

I showed up on a weekday afternoon, without an appointment and they managed to squeeze in a cut and style! It was a new cut (from a photo on my phone) from long to just post my chin, and it turned out great! I loved that they were focused more on me and the cut/style than on selling me product =D

Super nice employees, offer you water right when you walk in and no appointment is required, although I'd recommend it during the OSU school year. I've gotten both a haircut and a manicure here before, and I'd definitely go again. They did push my cuticles a little too hard, but some people really like their cuticles to be completely pushed back. They have shellac polish if that's what you're into, and it looks great and lasts for about two weeks (depending on your nail growth).
