I absolutely enjoyed my time with Jess at Black Dagger salon. She’s an incredible hair stylist, very knowledgeable and very professional. But most importantly she’s so nice and friendly, I never met a hair stylist to do their job with such passion and dedication. She definitely does hair because she loves it. She definitely works with people because she’s sweet and friendly and loves human interaction. My hair looks amazing every time she touches it and she knows exactly what I want and what to do, plus extra points Jess is just awesome and I love spending time with her. Definitely recommend!

It is always a great day when I get to visit Jess. Before any service she always asks what goals are and truly listens, while also providing her expert insights. I'm fully at ease in her chair and consistently pleased when my hair is done. She's taught me a lot about how to best treat my baby fine hair. I love getting my color done by Jess! It's always so rich and multidimensional - never flat.

11/10 love going to Jess. She’s the type of hair stylist who doesn’t tell you what you want to hear but what you NEED to hear and we love that. 👏🏻🖤 I always feel comfortable in the chair/salon! I’ve been going to her for almost 2 years now and can’t recommend her enough to anybody who’s looking for a simple cut or something totally new. I moved to San Diego in 2022 from SF Bay Area and was a little lost having had my hair cut by the same stylist for years. I found Jess on a recommendation and we have a lot of fun hanging out every month or so while she makes an excellent job styling my grey pixie cut so I can channel Jamie Lee Curtis.

It is easy to see she is beyond talented at styling hair, but she also spent the time to educate me on how to have my healthiest hair. Jess is absolutely fantastic! We first saw her over a year ago for my daughter's incredibly damaged hair and she worked wonders then so we came back for a trim and updo for my daughter's cadet ball today! We really had no idea what we wanted and Jess brought great vision and services! We WILL be going back to her again!

Jessica did an amazing job cutting my curly hair. I had super long curly hair and I wanted it very short. She spent the time explaining me a lot of stuff about my hair and did a great job with the haircut! She’s very knowledgeable! I strongly recommend her!

This salon in South Park is warm, welcoming and vibrant! Jess fixed my old color, cut my curls with such care, styled it with my very lazy-girl-curl needs in mind, and taught me how to deal with this hard water in San Diego. Fairly priced, excellent value, looking forward to seeing Jess again!

I came to Jess feeling really insecure about myself and my hair. After our consultation, during which I explained my situation and my hair goals, I knew she was the person I wanted doing my hair. For some people, getting their hair done is a sacred ritual. For others, it’s nothing short of an emotional journey. Thanks to Jess, I now look at it as an important part of self care and can’t wait to come back! She’s attentive and caring, never once did I feel judged or criticized, and she’ll make you feel like a hundred bucks before she even touches your head! Jess is truly an artist and my appointment with her was more of an experience than just a haircut! Jess is an expert with curly hair…I felt like she taught me more about how to care for my curly hair, than I’d ever known! Even a day later when I got up, all I did was shake my head and my hair looked as great as when I left the salon. I’d like to add Jess is a sweetheart!

So first off. I should have posted this a while ago but I couldn't. But Jess, she is AWESOME. Previous Military and hair stylist conesour. She, one was super nice with refreshments at the ready. When the phone went to voice-mail, she called me back just a few minutes later. She asked what I wanted and worked with me the entire time. It was so great I got my hair highlighted and dyed, which she was super professional and supportive the entire way. With an amazing attitude and stories to follow I recommend this place to anyone to get a haircut that they will love.

So thankful to have found Jess! I’ve been to many hair stylists and none have listened to me like Jess did. I came in with my dry, half-curly hair not knowing where to start. Throughout my time in the salon chair, she gave me the entire rundown on how to bring my curly hair back to life, empowering me to take this into my own hands. I left with beautiful curls (that I didn’t know were attainable), an awesome recommendation of products, and more confidence! Jess really knows what she’s doing—and gives amazing head massages, which is the most important. 😉

I had my hair highlighted and loved the color, however, I wanted it longer to be my dream hair. Went and saw Jessica and she made that a reality. She was thorough in explaining all the details of extension hair care which has been incredibly helpful. The way she colored and styled it, makes it look like my actual hair and I am in love! I appreciated her honesty and attention to detail. Throughout the process she encouraged me to speak up if something didn’t feel right in her pursuit to not only make the extensions look incredible but also feel as comfortable as they could. Would definitely recommend her.

Jess is an incredible stylist, and I’m so thankful to have found her. She is extremely personable and makes me feel so comfortable, she listens to my needs, and does a wonderful job of explaining what to expect throughout the styling process. I have gone to her multiple times for cuts, coloring, glosses, and highlights, and have left every appointment with an amazing new look, and feeling refreshed and full of confidence. She uses high quality products, and has given me sound advice on ways to improve the health of my hair. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, and could not recommend her more!
