When I walked in I was told it would be an additional $10 for my haircut because my hair was a bit below my shoulders and which is considered long, I showed Gracie the stylist who was nice a reference photo to ensure there was no misunderstanding. Unfortunately, the final result did not resemble what I asked for. She either didn't understand my request or decided to take created liberties. I hope the salon takes feed back seriously and works on improving communication between stylists and clients to ensure expectations are met. Very disappointed I thought JC-Penny Salon was a prestige Salon that hires people with experience, since the prices are high so why I was charged an extra fee and not a discounted price for cutting my hair too short!? Unsatisfied customer.

Booked an appointment for my mom for her Birthday and the stylist didn’t even show up, waited half an hour and ended up leaving as we had another appointment elsewhere. No one was even at reception to answer the phone because I think the stylist who was being late kept calling in. Blows my mind that the other stylist couldn’t leave her client for all of 2 minutes to answer the phone. Happy Birthday to my mother, super dope guys.

Gabriel was wonderful to work with tonight..she took her time and care of my haircut ..was trying to grow hair long..but was not working for me..decided to go short again. Gabriel took off just enough to have my natural curls comeback. Gabriel is fairly new in the professional salon career but she will go far, nice, professional and understanding. Will go back.

Hannah is very thorough with her treatments and makes sure you get every minute worth your dime there. She does a great scalp massage and is a great listener to what you are requesting. I love her personality and the way she just does her thing and makes you beautiful!! Trust her and her process!! You won’t regret it. Enjoy!!!

I recently booked and received a facial through the spa services after I saw social media posts highlighting the services. My experience with Hannah was a 5/5. It was a relaxing experience and I left with my skin feeling and looking refreshed. I took away one start due to the advertising of the service. When you book there are about 3 options for the facials - I selected one targeted for acne but I did not feel like the service was targeted. For a generic facial that doesn't break the bank - this is a great option!

This place has fallen off. It's not sketchy, and it's good when it's open. But they have one person working if that almost every time. Hire more people, stick to your hours open, then would rate a 5.

Inexperienced stylist (not experienced in black hair even though they said they were), too long in the chair (over 5 hours for me and granddaughter getting the same service). Applied the wrong color....never going back....USED to be a good salon backup. Seems to be on the brink of closing..giving 2 stars because my granddaughter found her entertaining.

Been looking for a stylist for quite a while now, I just moved here.Was serviced my a woman named Karen, polite, yes. She will remind you she has over 30 years of experience twice or more times, however what she did to my hair was not the job of a 30 year experienced stylist. I guess I have to keep looking

I just moved here Alecia did my hair was there 3hrs 30mins color and cut paid $160.00 for that she told me didn’t have time to style someone else was waiting for hair cut. When someone has being doing hair for 11 years shouldn’t take that long when my hair is short. Poor service I wouldn’t recommend this salon.

I recommend someone there one week ago and they didn’t want to do her hair because it was long ,it was just a hair cut . This person used all excuse so someone else did my friend hair, I was disappointed because I recommend her there. So one question you guys don’t do long hair just short hair I know who this person is because she did my hair a lot of time I do not want. her do my hair anymore so disappointed

I was at the mall with my 3 and 4 year old and stopped by to see if my son could get his hair cut. The lady sitting upfront was anything but welcoming. Regardless, I asked if anyone was available to cut his hair. She barely looked up and says “No. There’s no one.” So I asked when someone would be available, at which point she turns and looks at me with a condescending smile and says, “The problem is that you can be in here with him because you are his parent, but you have two little children with you!” As if I was doing something horribly wrong by having TWO WHOLE CHILDREN at the mall, and by myself at that (GASP!) Everyone else at the mall was extremely kind and welcoming to my children, who, by the way, were both wearing masks... unlike the woman working at the salon. I will never go to this salon again, for anything.

If I could give a negative star feedback I would, my son being a teenage boy wanted his hair done so we took him here just to pay $90.00 to have to shave his head cause they damaged his hair it was so bad. I will never take my kids back there again and I would not ever recommend them to anyone!

Lee did an amazing job of my highlights, haircut, & hairstyle. She is super friendly & experienced. Overall excellent job & service. I highly recommend her. Plus, she is honest and doesn't overcharge. Thanks Lee :)

Jackie did my hair there I have been talking to her for a few weeks on what color and how it will come out she has really worked with me and took her time with me even when she wasn’t on the clock she really cares about you and does want to help you she did a AMAZING JOB on dying/cutting my hair I can’t get over the amazing work she has done she really takes her time and works with you and does it the way you would want it done I will definitely stick with her for now one and Jackie has gave me so much confidence that I have never had before she has done a amazing job on my hair I used to hate taking pictures of myself and now I love doing it thank you for giving me so much confidence 💕 that I needed

Worst experience ever. I called in to schedule a same day appointment and the receptionist assured me that the stylist would be able to do my daughters curly hair. The only time slot they had was 8pm and it was the day before the first day of school. When we got there we sat and waited for over twenty minutes the receptionist was in the back talking or was my first time coming so I didn’t feel comfortable just going to the back where they were servicing clients. After waiting the stylist finally came up front and told me he did not have enough time to do my daughters hair and her appointment was actually booked for a haircut. The salon is over thirty minutes away and we left with her hair undone!

I Just moved in the area not to long ago, I'm always REALLY nervous and skeptical of getting my hair cut. I just had a baby 4m ago and started to experience PP hair loss and I just needed a pick me up. I read reviews on here about this salon as we are a new JCPenny shopper. I Compared reviews between Ulta, and a few other salons in the area and decided to go here based on others experiences with the stylist Grace and I decided to go for it what could go wrong? My hair was already in rough shape. Can I just say right away She was absolutely amazing from scheduling my appointment, to arriving and being greeted and asked what she could do for me today and just the entire experience was wonderful I only got an express cut, but she was willing to show me how to style my hair when I just asked a simple question and was more then happy to explain things and took her time! She made me feel so great and I left feeling beautiful!! That's huge as a new mamma! Thanks Grace!!

I'm a 65 year old women, who have had her hair frosted basically since I was 15 tears old, I've had some good experiences & bad, but I came to Felica Owens yesterday and I have never had anyone put as much effort as she did in my color & cut, she was amazing & caring, no bleaching, coloring & love my cut, Many, many Thanks To You Felica!

My daughter had her hair colored/bleached to get a full ombré effect and her hair turned out orange. She had this done about a year ago at this same place which is why I brought her the again so they would know what was done to her before but not even that helped. The lady doing her hair seemed to not know what she was doing and asked another girl that worked there how she was doing and kept asking for her opinion. She didn't seem to think she knew what she was doing and didn't seem sure about how she was doing it. I am not having to take her somewhere else to correct this, she definitely doesn't want to return there. This is the last time we go there.

I have had nothing but good experiences here! I always see Grace for my hair cuts and my sister goes to Mike, both are equally great. Grace always cuts my hair just the way I describe it to her and styles it the way I like it. I have gone from long to very short with her as my hair stylist and I am currently growing it back out again, I have liked it each time I just can't make up my mind! She always does what I ask even if it's totally different from what I wanted last month and makes it look good.

This was my 1st time going to this salon and I'll always be a client now... Melissa did my service and it turned out better than I expected . Grace cut my son's hair and he absolutely loved it and her . Great salon and great prices .
