Arrived 5:00 salon closes at 8:00 . I was a walking. I needed a dye for my short and thin hair. The salon had just two customers. The stylist were just sitting. Waiting on appointments. They didn't bother to attend to my needs

Did not give me what I asked for at all, left my hair choppy,unblended,VERY uneven, way too short(my hair was past my waist and I left with it just barely passing my shoulders) and it looked insane compared to the provided picture of what I wanted. I left holding back actual tears of how horribe my hair was messed up.

Cecilia @ the Harlingen JCPenney salon did an awesome job on my hair. I highly recommend her my coworkers loved the way my hair looked and I already recommend her to a friend. I’m very picky of the people that do my hair but when she finish with mine I was like wow I really loved it. If you’re planning on having your hair done ask for Cecilia

Everyone here is extremely nice and so helpful. We have had Tianna and most recently Iliana. Both experiences have been great with them treating my mom so well and doing an amazing job with the hair color. Will continue to come here. Thank you! 😊

I paid $90 for a wash, hair cut, blow dry and straighten my hair. I would’ve preferred if the lady who was doing my hair was honest up front that she had never styled very curly hair before and maybe asked a co worker to do my hair. I walked out of there after almost 3 hrs. with the roots to my hair curly and pieces of my hair curly as well. It was my sister’s wedding that day and I thought my hair would look better if done at a salon but I was wrong I could’ve done it better myself. Not going back ever, very disappointed.

The Hairstylist (Angelica) did an amazing job. The hospitality she provided was great and her attention to detail cannot be understated. I would recommend her 100 times over!

Do NOT go here!!!!!! My sister got her hair done here and the stylist didn't do what she wanted at all. She gave her a picture of what she wanted and the lady took one look at it and said she was just gonna give her a trim. She paid 35 dollars for just a trim and bangs that my sister did not even want. She even said if she messed my sisters hair she could just shave her head. Never coming back here again.

I took my son for a haircut this past week and the hairstylist did an ok job on his hair. I asked her to make a line where he parts his hair and she made a very thick line! It looks horrible! My son was very upset,

Stylist Lydia did not honor what I wanted and cut off all my waist length hair off into that awful mexican layered look just below my shoulders ! You cant put it back!!! You didnt even know how to blend. Should have known better when you said to trust you! NOT!!! I can't even put my hair in a bun for work from all the F'ng Mexican layers you gave me. I will never go back there. You all need to respect client's wishes and learn how to keep updated with blending and new hair cutting techniques You all must be rating yourselves, DEFINITELY NOT 5 stars. If I could I would give 0 stars!!! NEVERRR EVERRR go here!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

This is the third time I get disappointed by JCPENNEY hair salon, I booked my appointment for 10:am. Showed up early to be courteous, they notify me my stylist will be 30 minutes late. So I wait, 30 minutes turns into an hour. I asked if someone else can cut my hair, nope. Very unprofessional, smh I don’t know why I keep going back.

haven’t seen a salon in over 10 years didn’t know what to do with my hair but knew i wanted to get bangs and some layers, was seen by Alice and she was amazing, did everything perfect and i love it so so much, did exactly what i wanted for my hair ❤️

Had an appt.but still waited 30 minutes. Told hairdresser (Fred) I just needed to cover roots and get a trim. He cut about 3 or more inches off the back. I mentioned the layers were cut a lot more and he said no I just needed to push the sides of my hair back. I am very dissatisfied with the cut. Paid over $100 for it, I won’t be going back. Will not recommend this salon

Had scheduled an appt with Frank, went in with hopes that they would at least be understanding to the fact that I hadn’t done my hair since covid began, didn’t even have a budget because it was my first salon visit and saved up money for it so I was willing to pay whatever it took. I left there extremely disappointed and practically humiliated. Frank looked at my hair and said he had to ask permission from his boss if he can proceed, lady with purple hair sitting down not even caring about wanting to help said he wouldn’t want him to risk his reputation to even try to help me. Meanwhile all other clients just listened to them publicly humiliate me. I kept my cool and said i would take my business elsewhere, not even an hour later I went to family owned business and they assisted me beautifully and had no problem fixing my dark roots and said I should file complaint and write a review because this is NOT how you treat customers. Neither Frank nor I guess boss lady with purple hair apologized for practically wasting my time or for humiliating me in front of others. People who love and appreciate their job will do whatever it takes to make customer happy and despite me constantly telling them that I would be happy with anything they recommend to fix my dark roots and they still said they didn’t want to even touch my hair and made disgusting faces. Maybe she should get off her chair from sitting too long and actually do her job. Don’t recommend this place at all and I hope no one ever goes through how I felt today. It’s free to be kind and this place truly doesn’t know how to do that.

I came to the mall hoping to get a trim, since I hadn't had one since covid began. They immediately had a spot for me and fixed up my hair wonderfully! They also did my eyebrows, leaving them perfect. The salon was clean, lively, and very well managed. The stylist listened to my description of what I wanted and offered her own advice, and we went from there. I couldn't be more satisfied. I would come back here if I'm in the area. I highly recommend this place.

I wanted a small trim and I specifically told the stylist(America) that I wanted the exact cut I currently had. I told her I was letting it grow and just wanted the ends trimmed. I showed her where I wanted the back of my hair length and that I specifically wanted the side to grow to my chin. I said cut it exactly like it is currently cut. When she fininshed I had layers through out the sides of my hair. She knew I was very disappointed. I asked her why she cut layers and she said she thought they would look good. AMERICA do what the customer ask you to do, not what you want to do! I am still steaming over this and it was a week ago! So disappointed in these so called professionals!

If I could give a negative star rating I would. To start off I called and scheduled in advance a haircut & nail polishing for my 4 year old’s birthday pampering. Upon arrival, there already seemed to be a lack of communication between stylists & cashier. They were going back & forth who was on “the books” and who wasn’t. Finally got my daughter to her chair , the stylist finally came in & I instructed her we just wanted a trim. I asked if she’d be polishing my daughters nails as well. Confused, she asked the cashier if she had time to polish as well. I was then told I would have had to schedule that with the haircut not add it at the time of service. EXACTLY, I called in advance! Anywho, as she was finishing up the haircut, she was checking the length in the front, it was CLEARLY uneven. She tried parting her hair in a different way, still uneven, proceeded to tell me it was uneven cause she had a side part..once in a center part the unevenness was even more obvious. So what does she do? CHOP! There was a huge chunk of hair chopped off in the front, she then was about to start chopping the back to even it out. I immediately asked her to stop. I stated I was leaving to go get it fixed elsewhere. The manager went after me & offered to fix it. Against my better judgment I agreed. We left with it still uneven & chopped. To add to my disappointment there were customers & stylists having incredibly inappropriate x rated conversations. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Absolutely ridiculous!

NEVER EVER EVERRRRR GO HERE. I got my hair done here and the lady turned my hair ORANGE. I only wanted more blonde highlights added to my already blonde hair. It took 4 hours to dye my hair orange and then i had to come back the next day to have it RE-DYED 2 more times. And it still looks horrific. After literally 4 dye jobs to attempt to fix it they didnt even offer a cut or a deep conditioning to repair the damage they caused. Now my hair is falling out in CLUMPS. Ive lost so much hair in the last week its ridiculous. It just keeps falling out. Its extremely dry and damaged. Please never go here. I spent $145 for my hair to fall off. Avoid at all costs. Avoid like the plague. Avoid like covid! Runnnn. Run away and NEVER look back.
