JC Penney Salon @ Arden Fair/Sacramento. My stylist was Benjamin. Visited about one week ago. Benjamin did an excellent full head of blonde foils, toning, cut and style. My results are just beautiful, color, cut and condition of my hair following the highlighting. He was very precise and careful to use the safest levels of developer to keep my hair healthy during the process, as well as olaplex treatment. This was very much appreciated as I have thin, fine hair that I had battered and neglected for the past 8 months or so. Benjamin was clearly very good at what he does, courteous and professional. I would recommend this salon and stylist. I hope to return in the future.

My son went to this appointment. He felt his stylist was friendly and nice, but didn’t do an A+ job on his haircut. He said one side wasn’t even with the other.

Courtney is amazing! I’ve been taking my daughter to her to get her hair braided and she does an excellent job every time. She is very professional, gets us in and out, and has amazing customer service skills. Sometimes I am skeptical when it comes to hair stylists but I always feel safe and comfortable with her.

My daughter and I had an appointment for trims with Ellie. She completely destroyed my daughters hair by cutting the front to where she looks like she has a mullet and left me with extremely choppy uneven layers. Worst haircuts we have EVER had. It was clear she either is very new or only cuts men's hair or something. I didn't even realize how bad it was until we got home. My daughter has to wear her hair up everyday with barrettes to hide the terrible cut. We had to go to someone else to try to fix it and there wasn't even much they could do. We're stuck waiting for it to grow out now. I have more than one star because Ellie was very sweet, but maybe advise next time that you don't usually do cuts on long hair? So. Bad!!

Would rather give a 0. Made an appt on 9/28/22 thru the receptionist for a keratin treatment with Margret for the next morning @ 1100. I arrived early-she was 25 mins late then informed me she does not do Keratin treatments and there was not another stay available to do it. While waiting for the manager, she came into the reception area smiling-smug and unprofessional. I will not be back.

It was my B-day and I went to your salon for a facial. Ellie was very loving and caring, she took her time and pampered me, leaving my face hydrated and soft. Definitely coming back and telling my friends.

New to the area and I have found a new hairstylist, Janet is fantastic! She cut my hair with care rather than rushing through it. Very sweet and loving.

Very sweet stylist, but I was so disappointed with the results I almost didn't make it to the parking lot before sobbing. I described to my stylist the color service I wanted (something I've been having done for about 17 years) and showed them a picture of me with it, they said they still didn't think it could be done. I asked them not to do it if they didn't feel comfortable, but they said they would try to get it as light as they could. The service took longer than expected, and I felt bad because I don't think they had ever done this service before (from what they told me). When it was complete, it looked absolutely nothing like the picture I provided or what I was looking for. I was so shocked I couldn't speak. I declined the blow dry because I was on the brink of tears and I had to leave as quickly as possible. I still very much appreciate the time the stylist took; I know it was probably a stressful experience. But I just wish I would have had a clearer understanding of what I was getting out of it. I did also have to rewash my hair when I got home due to leftover bleach and toner around my ears. When I tried to style it to see if I could make it work, there were unfortunately large chunks of bleached hair spotted interspersed throughout. It's just disappointing that I will now have to spend extra time and money trying to fix it.

Went to this hair salon today attempting to make an appointment. A nice lady greeted me as I walked inside. I explained to her the hairstyle I desired. She referred me to Chris. Because Chris was styling the hair of a customer. I patiently stood there waiting. This young lady came back to me and told me to go on over stand to the side and ask Chris about the hairstyle I desired. As I walked closer, the customer noticed me, we both said hello. I said excuse me Ms. Chris she looks at me with a nasty, irritated look. I said I'm sorry but your coworker told me to come right over and speak to u. She replied, "I'm with a customer". I replied, " your coworker told me to come over now and speak with you". With that same nasty demeanor, Chris said "I don't know why she told you that. I'm with a customer and I cannot interrupt my customer. You can wait if u want to but i have another customer after her so its up to you". She then turn right around and chuckle with her customer. Because I only came to her based on the direction of her coworker there is no way i deserved such unprofessional and rude treatment. I only wanted to make an appointment.

I went to get my daughter's hair colored for her birthday. Ee wanted it a bit lightened before adding the color to make the color pop. Well my daughter's hair kept falling out with the lightener. The stylist assured us that it was "normal" and that it was getting rid of the bad hair. Well now my daughter hair is falling off where the color was applied and is so uneven. She lost at least 4-6 inches. I'm very disappointed. Also, called to speak with a manager and was told I would recieve a call back, but 2 days later and no call.

Tiyana is fantastic! She has been doing my hair for years! I was looking for a new person after moving to Sac, she mentioned she did hair. She is honest, Fair in pricing and transparent with what she feels may/may not work in regards to the cut/color you’re asking for! Ill continue to be repeat customer !!

HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!! I booked an appointment 3 days prior to my appointment, and on the day of my appointment, they call me 1 hour before my appointment time when I was already in the mall parking lot. They said there was no way they were going to get my hair done in time because someone was already "sitting in the chair". I wanted balayage and a haircut. They didn't even offer me a discount or sound sincere about cancelling my appointment last minute. Will take my service elsewhere and not here!!!
