He’s good at straightening my hair but he gets scissor happy he cut all of my hair off and I didn’t want more than an inch cut off. He cut off 6 inches talking about split ends🤦🏾‍♀️ It was ridiculous.

I absolutely love this Salon! My hair has grown sooo much since I started coming here and looks A LOT healthier than it did before! I love how John trims my hair, it always looks super healthy. I get loads compliments after getting my hair done. I definitely recommend the deep conditioning and protein treatment (anti-breakage) these make a huge difference!

i had a bad hair experience thursday (5/19) and was so sad so i went to John’s salon that friday after (5/20) and i owe him everything. i had a wig cap stuck on my hair and instead of him turning me away he HELPED me tremendously and was very gentle. he made sure that all the glue was out and that my hair wasn’t removed during the process. of course i’ll be back!

John does a great job styling but scrubs the scalp too hard. The other stylist has me upset because he can’t handle all the hair my daughter has & he’s impatient.

I have been coming to John shop for more than 5 years. Him and his staff is always courteous and professional.I haven’t had a perm in almost 7 years, but John have my thick and corse hair looking straight and great every time.I would recommend this shop.

He's amazing! Super knowledgeable about hair and gentle on the natural girls during the detangle process. I used to go to him a long time ago and he had my hair so healthy and long so visiting from California I had to stop and get cute by him

I have been a customer of John S Beauty Salon for almost 5 years and have always received top notch service. John and CiCi are amazing! They are extremely knowledgeable about thick natural hair. I have left each visit feeling and looking absolutely beautiful! I have also received many compliments on my hair! The shop is always quiet, peaceful, and serene. You wont be disappointed being serviced at this salon.

I remember when John opened up this shop almost 10 yrs ago. He was so nice & pleasant. The service was 5star ⭐️. Not so much now. My hair was detangled with a comb. It hurted so much. I believe when doing African American hair you should be experienced. A detangle brush would work better. The men was so rough in my head. I didn’t enjoy the service at all. Hair didn’t look worth $85 to me. If you want to go to a Natural Hair salon that’s created for Black women try Envy Me Salon on 55th. You will get excellent service and you will love your hair.

Really nice owner, decent prices and quick service. Wash n blow dry only, and they do miracles on natural hair to blow dry it straight. Natural hair blow drying is the Egyptians specialty. Street parking, nice area, quick on and out. Call to get walk in a availability.

Very nice salon, he was able to fit me in and styled my hair perfectly. I got a blowout with a new layered cut. He is blessed with great hands and knowledge of all hair types. Thank you!

I been here now 2 times first time was a mess the girl who washed and detangled my hair was literally yanking at it she did not know how to detangle but the man who straightened it did a good job….i only paid 80 around that time last year…today i went in and it was just the man who flat ironed my hair last time… he did beautifully washing, detangling and styling my hair…. I however did not like the fact he used a hair brush that had other people hair in it in my head the brush was dirty… i also didn’t like the fact he charged me $120 this time i got the same thing as last time so im confused how it went up $40…. Ima just say i dont know if I’ll go back.

great service….! The service was great, until I realized he (John), was trying to rip me off....constantly going up on all of my services, telling me I needed extra things I didn't need. He definitely lost my business!

I love this place! This is the only place I go to get my hair blown out. Been coming here for 7 years!! John is very knowledgeable about hair & takes care of natural hair very well. Since I’ve been coming here, my hair grew a lot! Plus, he gets your hair bone straight, bouncy & healthy.
