Caitlin was absolutely amazing!!!!! I’ve always had long hair and I’m currently going through postpartum hair loss, and she made me feel so comfortable and confident. From how she washed my hair to how gentle and kind she was, everything was spectacular!!! So sad to hear Johnny Rodriguez got rid of an amazing and passionate stylist.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Brendan and Alex were absolutely incredible! They did an amazing job of helping my dream hairstyle come to life. The color and cut is absolutely perfect. They both took their time to ensure everything looked immaculate and I couldn’t be happier.

Gary was amazing! So sweet and attentive, with excellent customer service. What impressed me most was his attention to detail—he was meticulous with every step of the process. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure you leave looking and feeling your best. I’ll definitely be returning to see him again! Highly recommend!

I got full highlights and a blow out. Sheila was amazing, besides her being so sweet and nice she explained exactly what she was doing, she'd let me know when she was going to touch my hair, dye it, wash it and blow dry it. In the beginning of the appointment she offered a drink and asked a few times if I needed a refill. She's on top of everything and the massages she gives (AMAZING!!!) we were talking and as soon as she started the head massage I literally couldn't get a word out and I just relaxed! Also, my hair turned out beautiful and just what I wanted! Thank you Sheila, can't wait to go back!

Teddy is amazing! I have a short cut and I always have to work so hard to communicate what I need to most stylist. Also, To get a consistent cut each time is typically impossible. Teddy understood and created the perfect shape…she even remembers the nuances of it when I come in again…I never have to explain and remind her! She’s timely and extremely lovely to be around. So glad I found her!

I visited JR the Salon on Saturday, the 2nd, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. From the outset, I felt like a second-class client, perhaps because I was using a gift certificate for my visit. I had appointments scheduled with two stylists—one for coloring and one for cutting—but I did not receive a proper consultation prior to my appointment. Despite sending photos that clearly outlined my expectations and my request for guidance, I was only told that "you will be taken care of." The coloring process was painful, and there was minimal communication throughout. The stylist seemed displeased, and I ended up waiting much longer than anticipated for the washing. When I requested water, I waited 30 minutes, prompting a second request before I finally received it. After spending two hours there, I was left feeling overwhelmed and upset. To add to my frustration, the lack of communication resulted in an unwelcome surprise when it came time to pay. While the price itself was not an issue, I would have appreciated transparency regarding the services I was receiving. The additional treatments that were applied to my hair have left it frizzy and difficult to manage. On a positive note, Teedy, who handled my haircut, did make the experience somewhat better with a quick and well-executed cut. However, the overall outcome of the coloring was mediocre and certainly not worth the price. I left the salon feeling disheartened and questioning whether I was the kind of client the salon values. Given this experience, I do not plan to return and cannot recommend the colorist/educator.

My hair came out exactly how I expected/envisioned it. Everyone was so welcoming and nice. Samatha did an amazing job with my hair, she listened to what I wanted and delivered. I will definitely be back to book with Samantha and will recommend her to my friends and family. I have been getting lots of compliments on my hair. 10/10 experience.

I’ve owned and operated salons for the past 17 years. For the last few mos. I’ve been fortunate enough to take some clients at JR’s WLovers Ln location. It is my opinion that JR the salon is hands down the premier salon in Dallas. Johnny and Kate genuinely care about their entire staff and every single client who walks in. The skill level of service providers is second to none. Blair and the front desk team have got customer service down to a fine art. Retail selections are top notch and there is constant continued education. The team here has created a drama free and supportive culture in a beautiful environment. I know first hand just how hard it is to accomplish what this group makes seem so effortless. Hats off!

I love coming to the salon, every part of the experience you can tell has been thought out to provide the best service. And everyone is super friendly. Plus my girl Sadaf is great and very thoughtful in my cut, walking me through her thought process with great personalized analysis. I always feel great walking out.

I'm a natural dirty blonde and have not dyed or bleached my hair in over 15 years so I wasn't sure what to expect going into my appointment. Isabella did my color & Shavaughn did my cut and blow dry/style. I could not be happier with the look and feel of the final result! Every hairdresser in the building was super knowledgeable and doing amazing jobs on their clients as I glanced around. The entire staff made me feel comfortable from the minute I stepped inside. I wish I caught the name of the receptionist since she was also great! I will be back to see Isabella and Shavaugn.

I’ve be meaning to write this review for a while now . I’m very disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by Sadaf and the salon’s policies. On a few occasions Sadaf cancelled on me at the last minute because she did not have many people on the books so it was not worth her time to come in to work. I was understanding initially, since it was just a haircut, but this became a regular occurrence, so I stopped booking. Recently, I had a big event come up unexpectedly ,and with my current stylist out of town, I reluctantly booked with Sadaf again. At the time of the appointment, I had an emergency arise and it caused me to run 5-10 mins late. I contacted the salon to inform Sadaf I would be running late and was then informed that my hair would not be dried due to the late arrival. Although I wasn’t thrilled about leaving the salon with wet hair, I was open to only receiving the hair cut service. Naturally, I inquired about pricing since I would no longer be receiving a full service, but to my surprise I was told I would still be charged full service despite not receiving the said full service. I ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere only to be told I would be charged 50% of the total service that I never received. Given the previous last minute cancellations from Sadaf and this experience, it’s clear to me that they do not value their customers.

This was my first time at the salon. Service was horrible. I came in for highlights, was told by the colorist Isabella that wasn’t possible because of the color hair I had, she made sure to change my mind about the color I wanted to get. I came in to color my hair so I compromised and said let’s color it (brown) she ended up coloring it pitch black, which was not the look I was going for. This wasn’t the end of it, the whole time she kept trying to convince me to get a hair cut after numerous times of me saying NO. After I came home I realized she didn’t even clean up the color on my skin, I had color all over my neck. The only highlight of this experience was Shavaughn who blow-dried my hair, she was very professional and seemed like an expert in hair services, if I go back It would be exclusively because of her and only to get my services done by her! Initially, when I called to make an appointment I was told by the receptionist- Isabella was one of their expert colorist. I expected better service from Johnny Rodriguez salon but it ended up being a huge disappointment.

Mandana is an excellent stylist! She not only gave me a great style which I am constantly getting compliments on, but she educated me on how to take care of my hair properly and how to style it correctly. She also colored my hair and put in beautiful highlights which make me look 10 years younger! I highly recommend her and I wouldn’t go to anyone else!

I have booked two appointments with them for haircut and hair color, as I wasn't sure about getting my hair colored, immediately I called them back to ask if I could cancel my hair color appointment and I only want one service that is haircut. I tried calling them but, only on the appointment day they called me back and told me that I will be charged 100$ if I cannot get the hair color service. They are forcing me for a service that i do not want to get done. This is unacceptable.

First time getting my hair done in a very long time due to a bad past experience years ago at a different salon. Johnny has been cutting my Husband's hair and they have been the best haircuts he's ever had, so I decided to try for myself and I couldn't be happier with the end result. Johnny cut my hair beautifully, truly gave me exactly what I was looking for and then some. Kate did my red hair dye and she did such an amazing job, I can't stop looking at my hair. She even took into consideration my eye color and skin tone for the right shade of red for my coloring. Between the two of them I am officially obsessed with my hair for the first time in literal years, I could not be happier with the end result. Maddison did my blowout and I have nothing but nice things to say about this salon and everyone that works here. Well worth the money and they could easily be charging more for the quality of service I received. Stunning salon, super clean, upbeat, professional and everyone from the front of house to the back room were very friendly, warm and welcoming. I will be coming back for a retouch when its time to re-up my red and a trim! I cannot recommend this salon enough, one of the best salons in Dallas.

I just came in for a consultation, but I left confident that the services I booked (color, cut, extensions) are in the hands of someone who knows what she's doing. It's more important to me to go to a stylist who's an expert and who utilizes that expertise to make me look great than it is to go to someone who'll cater to my every whim and let me make big mistakes with my hair.

It was my first time at Johnny Rodriguez and what can I say but WOW. No DOUBLE WOW! From the minute I walked in the door I was made to feel like a VIP. I was greeted with warm smile and Victor was ready to escort me to his chair. Jsyk. II am very reluctant to go to a new stylists as I have been blessed with not only fine hair but thin as well. The slightest little mistake in color or cut will be very noticeable and unfixable. I usually have to be very direct and make sure my stylist understand what they are dealing with BEFORE allowing them to start. However, Victor took control very quickly like the professional he turned out to be. He inspected every stand of my hair asking clarifying questions and was able to tell me what had been done to my hair prior. He identified every area that caused me grief and told me how and what needed to be done to create a master piece. He further explained why he would not be doing certain things cause it is hard on thin hair. Needless to say I walked out very pleased, very relaxed and will be returning! THANK YOU VICTOR! You are an artist with cut and color. More importantly you care! See you in 4 weeks
