I spent $1200!! On my installed perm locs that were not even installed correctly. My hair was put into fine plaits with hair just wrapped around to make a loc. I did EVERYTHING Mandi told me to do. With 3 months so many of them fell out. I went straight back and her sister Retwisted them within a WEEK more fell out! I called and even sent pictures. I eventually went to another professional location because EVERY lock was just sliding out. They advised they WERE NEVER PERMANENTLY INSTALLED! In the end I’ve had to SHAVE ALL MY HAIR OFF CLIPPER NO.1! It’s shocking that they do this and take money. Shocking and AVOID!

Joloff Hair is the best hair salon in Los Angeles! Period! If you want to get your hair maintained, braided nicely by professional hairdressers, this is the place to come to. It gets busy and that's normal, simply because it's a great salon! Make sure you call in advance and you'll be super happy with the amazing braiding styles they come up with! Amazing staff!

I got an appointment right away. Love that I didn’t have any wait time as soon as I arrived for my appointment I was immediately taken to the wash basin. Rich African Culture very nice ambiance and everyone is very nice and helpful. They do a wonderful job and they specialize in hair care . Went for a retwist of my locks and styling and was very pleased 😃 Definitely will go back and the prices are very reasonable and you get discount when you return .

Quality service by professional stylist!!! I don't just feel like another number or customer...when my grandmother passed away and I needed my hair re-done for the funeral with no question I went to them!!!And they accepted me last minute and did a magnificent job.(I will always remember who did my hair for my grandmother funeral) THANK YOU MATY

Alright, I just wanted to say thank you. My kid's hair grew out a lot, and he had his second two-strand twist. I believe her name is Astuo, and she did a really excellent job. My son feels very confident about his hair.

Jolof Hair Salon’s stylists are great at starting locs, as well as, loc management. I’m six months into my loc journey, and I trust their expertise! They provide an array of loc styles. The business atmosphere exhibits top tier professionalism, and the stylists are quick and efficient. 😊

Never ever would I ever visit this place again. They are not careful with your hair when retwisting locs. I was going to them regularly to get them done and they twist them so tight and pull on the roots that it started thinning my hair. They never told me this they just kept on doing it until finally one of them started saying my hair is breaking off from these interlocks you are getting. I said you all should have told me that this was the reason this was happening. I haven't been back since and won't return. Let them know to be delicate with your hair. Not all hair is the same!!!!

These ladies are amazing. I watched my loctician turn a job that would normally take an hour and a half and cruise through it in 37 minutes. My hair is challenging to work with. She handled it with ease. The atmosphere was calm with the ladies chatting back and forth with each other. Enjoyable experience and I'm happy to have them. I'm still a loyal customer of this place. They cannot be beaten in Los Angeles. I've taken a flight to make sure my hair is done here.

Well they are nice people and braids to me is not some of the ladies blessings . The twist and locks were nice. Box braids, for that price, I get it. Will I go back ? I Don’t Know. They take walk ins, no deposit needed. If emergency braids are needed, the place to go

I love Jolof Hair Salon. It’s exclusively Senegalese ladies who are kind, fast, and efficient. Expertise here is box braids and locs maintenance and they’re really good at both. I only gave 4 stars because it’s EXTREMELY loud in there with chit chat. If you get overwhelmed or have sensory issues, it can get overwhelming after a couple of hours. Bring ear phones. Hair can be too tight sometimes, you have to be vocal about it to then but otherwise it’s a great place for braids and locs. I’ll keep returning.

She took the time to listen to what I wanted and offered great suggestions. The products they used left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. I can't recommend Jolof Hair Salon enough. If you're looking for a top-notch salon that delivers excellent service and outstanding results, this is the place to go. I will definitely be returning for my next appointment!

I have had my hair done here a few time and every time I’ve had to go back and get it fixed because of poor work… that being said whenever I’m there they are always late to get me in the chair… I Didn’t set up an appointment for a specific time only to have to wait for an hour while they finish somebody else’s hair then once they get me in the chair and start my hair they’re bouncing back-and-forth from other people that’s not a part of my appointment.. And I have been there many times where a custom has come in and complained about The same issue and the owner tried to back peddle what she had said…. The prices need to be listed because they changes every time … very in professional… also STOP TAKING PPL IF YOU ARE FULL!! Stop trying to raise the prices because the work in the end sometimes it’s not worth it… Stay off the phone!! And stop taking an appointment if you don’t have time not, everybody wants five different people working on their heads.. over this place🫡

When I walked in I stood there for almost 10mins before someone greeted me. Then I was sent to get my hair washed where I waited another 10mins. The lady only washed my hair once. Once I was seated in the styles chair it took her another 15 mins before she started doing my hair (on her cell phone). It only took her 30mins to style my hair, which was good, followed by a hour & a half understand the dryer. She never said a word to me, didn't tell me her name or explained to me about how to maintain my hair. My twist where sticking up all over my head. This is not a warm and fuzzy atmosphere. They were loud and talked the whole time I was there. Needless to say I won't be returning there

As soon as I walk in, they asked me, " have I been there before? & what I wanted done with my hair?". Immediately after, they start washing my hair and went right to business. I loved the environment and the way they crochet & did my interlocks. I was a satisfied customer and will be back.😎

Jolof is my go to for my braids and natural styles. Im from the east coast so finding an African braid shop up to my standards was difficult in LA. I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years when I need braids done for my extensions. They have great turn around time, neat work, a clean environment and they are great prices!!!

First off I paid $800 for Lock extensions. She didn’t use all the hair that I gave her. The parts were awful and I had to live with it. I went back to them about five or six times thinking that OK maybe I just need to show them I’m a loyal customer and then they’ll be you know, nicer and receive my presence a little better but no, they just don’t like American black women. They’re very nice to men They do their hair perfect part their hair straighten everything, but when it comes to us American women, they overcharge us. They snatch our hair like crazy they’ll thin our scalp out. They leave a sitting under the dryer for two hours while they do two or three other heads when they do your hair they do it so tight you have no choice but to take it down and then let it breathe because it’s hurting . They have sores in my scalp three different times and they told me because I wasn’t putting oil in it yes I was. Y’all twisted it to death put me under the dryer with a bunch of clips in my head so I had the hair dryer baking my scalp with metal clips in my head
