I am very picky about who I let do my hair and it took me years to find a place I felt at home and trusted. Joon Drop is that place for me. Michaela has gone above and beyond for me and her work is impeccable. Every time I go in I leave feeling like myself again, more invigorated and confident. I’ve had blue hair for over 7 years and Michaela Is the first stylist to get the color perfect to what I’ve wanted. And as someone with scalp sensitivity she is always gentle and accommodating. I can’t say enough great things about Michaela and Joon Drop as a whole!

Jaz is a great colorist and so approachable Julia is my queen of a stylist - worked with her to get extensions - she’s amazing at her craft and such a great conversationalist the time flew by , also great price for the full extensions experience and so happy with the results

Boy it is not easy finding a stylist! After years of disappointing (and expensive) salons I'm glad to have a found a home for my fine, frizz prone hair! I can't say enough good things about Joon Drop. I've always struggled with my fine hair—finding the right style and products has been a challenge, to say the least. But Michaela has been an absolute game-changer! From my first appointment, she made me feel comfortable and really took the time to understand my hair type and my goals. Not only has she given me a style that truly works for my hair, but she’s also taught me so much about hair health, the best products, and styling tips to keep it looking amazing. Michaela’s knowledge and her warm, thoughtful approach have given me so much confidence. The stylists were very friendly and the environment itself was pleasant. However, after I got my haircut, my hair has not grown at all, in fact, it looks noticeably thinner. This was back in May. I have never had this happen to me before and I have not had any additional treatments or anything done to my hair since. It is concerning as I wonder what kind of product they used that caused this issue, especially considering how expensive their services were. Overall, the people themselves are nice but the quality of their service was abysmal. I would not recommend getting a haircut here as there has been no hair growth since.

I had my haircut from Julia over the weekend and I am obsessed with it, I think this is the best haircut I have ever gotten, it really compliments my face and I have been loving it!

I did an incredible amount of research before booking with Julia at Joon Drop. I went in for a free consultation and she took the time to walk me through my hair concerns and the IBE process. I just finished my second install appointment and added another row-the placement is seamless and blends so well with my natural hair. HIGHLY recommend this salon and Julia, especially if you have thin hair or are interested in extensions.

Carolina has been doing my hair for years and every single time it’s flawless. She's always accommodating and willing to do what's best for you. She can do it allllllll :) Music is always playing and the rest of staff is so sweet too!

Carolina is a hair magician! When I first started seeing her in NYC she changed my whole hair care routine and installed IBE extensions which made such a huge difference and look amazing. I'd highly recommend seeing her and working with her on your hair journey! She is also incredibly kind, thoughtful, and a master of her craft. Can't say enough good things about her.

Carolina is an amazing hair stylist. The IBE extensions she installed look so professional and sleek. I have tried so many different salons and Carolina is my favorite hair stylist I have ever been to!! She is kind and always willing to do any repairs at the drop of a hat. Carolina is the best - she's been doing my invisible bead extensions for over a year now and no one EVER knows I have extensions (even other hairdressers.) She's accommodating, sweet, listens to what you want and is amazing at IBE.

Carolina is the best at her craft and she always makes sure I leave her chair happy! I’ve always had a great experience with her. She is attentive, and takes extra special care when doing my hair extensions as it’s a very time consuming process. She also made herself available for me during a time of need and I appreciated that. It shows she really cares about her clients. Joon Drop is a cute salon and the staff is very welcoming.

I came here for Julia after she moved salons! She is amazing at blondes and hair cuts. My BF also gets his hair cut by her. I’ve gone to her 3-4 times to go blonder/root blending and I couldn’t be happier. She is the best!

I had a lovely morning with Julie! Walked in with damaged and dead hair, and walked out feeling like a million bucks. I even had a stranger stop me on the street saying how great my hair looked. I appreciate how thoughtful she was about giving my hair shape and movement, and framed my face so well. She also helped walk me through styling my fine hair so that it will have volume for days. Can’t wait to come back, hopefully to see the sweet puppy Luke again too!

I have been going to Julie for about 10 years now and am finally doing a review. Better late than never! I have short, straight hair; so, I need someone who is really good with her/his scissors, and Julie is a master! I try to go every 6 weeks or so, but my schedule sometimes doesn't allow me to do that. Somehow, my hair looks great even after 10 weeks!

I love Joon Drop!!! I came here after my hairdresser moved to a different city and I’m so glad I did!!! I am very particular about my hair given I get a ton of blonde highlights every few weeks and was apprehensive to try someone new but Julia knows exactly what she’s doing when it comes to color. She listened patiently to what I was hoping to achieve and carefully explained her process ahead of time so I knew what she was thinking. My hair turned out perfectly ashy just how I was hoping and I’m so happy and relieved—will be going to Julia from here on out!!!

I started going to Joon Drop last year and it has been such a wonderful experience. Carolina is a master of her trade! If you want extensions, she is the person to see. She’s so diligent and takes the time to explain how to care for your extensions and your natural hair. She’s also done my coloring and makes sure everything is seamless. I can’t say enough good things about her and the salon. Julie and her staff make the entire experience an enjoyable and relaxing one!

I've been coming here for just under a year for my IEB extensions with Carolina. At first I was SO nervous about trying something new but Carolina made me feel at ease and has been WONDERFUL to work with over the past year! Whenever there is an issue or I have a question she makes the time to answer me or help adjust my hair. The entire Joon Drop team is absolutely fantastic and they make every visit to the salon fun and enjoyable.

I’ve been coming here for a while! I love it every time! I get my hair done with Julia! She’s such a talented colorist. She works to get the exact color you’re looking for, I’ve switched from blonde to red and she’s kept my hair healthy through it all. I mean just LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL COLOR!! She also respects my decisions for length and doesn’t ever pressure me, like I’ve had other stylists do in the past. She’s the loveliest and most gentle soul too 💖💖💖 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Julia does the best blonde & blowouts in NYC. I go to her for all of my cuts, color, and event hair! Even with constant bleach my hair has stayed healthy and continues to grow. Couldn't recommend Julia enough!

The first time I visited Julie, I was hiding my long, fine (thin) hair in a low bun. I told her it looked bad and asked her to please make it look nice. This is a dumb request. Nonetheless, she did it. She cut my hair in a very flattering short style à la Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, attending to details to ensure the lines hit my (non-Gwyneth Paltrow) face in a flattering manner. Julie understands the emotional and styling challenges of having fine hair, and she knows how to make it appear and feel abundant and beautiful.

Worst salon on the planet. The money you save here you might spend trying to revive your hair. There are a lot of bogus positive reviews these days...if you read the negative ones, then you can really get a feel for how a business is. When you see photos of fried hair and stained scalps in the reviews...believe what you see. This place IS that bad.
