Had my first cut at Joseph’s yesterday and I’m grateful to have found him! He and Angelica took great care of me and it felt amazing to walk out with exactly what I asked for. Will absolutely be returning to his chair for my next cut.

Joseph is the BEST! When I moved to the UES from out of state, I was terrified I wouldn’t find a hairstylist as good as the one I went to for over 20 years. I’m so thankful I stumbled upon Joseph! It’s so nice to be able to just relax and trust that he will work his magic. Thanks, Joseph!

Jospeh is by far the best colorist in the UES. He really spends time understanding what his clients wants and needs are. Super amazing!!! I am a blonde and struggle with exactly what I’m looking for so having him help is a game changer!

I’ve never been so pleased with a haircut!!! They sat me down immediately at my appointment time, brought me water, and asked me questions every step of the process to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. 10/10 I will be coming back

I’ll start by saying that it is very rare for me to leave a review… but Joseph deserves one!! I have struggled finding good hair stylist in the past because I’m fairly picky. I came to Joseph to fix my curtain bangs, which none of my previous hairstylist could fix exactly how I wanted (for years). Every time I asked if my bangs could be blended with the rest of my hair, they would tell me that I just needed to “wait for it to grow,” so I generally left the salon feeling unsatisfied and like I had to keep waiting months and months to feel okay about my hair again. That’s not how you should feel after a cut. When I came to Joseph, he was able to add perfect movement and sophistication to my bangs in minutes, and I was blown away… so I came back right away a couple of days later to have a complete haircut with him. And let me tell you— best hair cut I’ve had in years!! I have hated layers in the past because they look spiky and they thinned out my long natural hair, but Joseph added just the perfect amount of face framing layers for me and immediately turned my haircut into a masterpiece. I have a ton of movement now and it’s definitely the most sophisticated haircut I have gotten in a very long time. I will keep coming back to Joseph— highly recommend! Very talented and great listener!

Had the most amazing experience yesterday at Jospehs Atelier UES with Isabelle! the salon was so clean and had wonderful lighting in the mirrors for you to feel like your best self, before and after your styling session! Isabelle was so sweet, and gave me the most flattering blow out for a Friday night out on the town! She was so friendly and was so fun to have a conversation with during my blow out! I would 100% recommend that you come and ask for Isabelle, she will make you feel like a million bucks!! will be back for my color ASAP!

I am SO happy I found Joseph in NYC. He is a true gem and an expert on blondes!! He's done my highlights/cuts for years now, and even did my extensions for my wedding (which I looved). He always gets it right and couldn't be kinder. Plus his prices aren't absurd (as are at most NYC salons). Highly recommend him!!

I have curly hair so I was apprehensive about going to a hair cutter who didn’t specifically advertise curly haircuts but Joseph was AMAZING! He gave me exactly what I wanted and did it so much more efficiently then past hairdressers I’ve tried in the city. Definitely recommend.

I have the best blonde color and haircuts by Joseph and I will never go anywhere else ever again! Have been seeing him for months and he is the best. I have such dark roots and he always makes the foilyage perfect. Angela is also amazing! Come see them!!!!

I really enjoyed my time at Joseph’s Atelier salon. My hair was cut by Isabell N. She was great very kind and helpful. I was worried that my curls would be a problem but she cut my hair perfectly. She listened to my concerns and I am very happy with the haircut I received. My hair has more bounce and volume and looks so much better than when I walked in. Unfortunately having curly hair can be stressful when going to a new salon but Isabell is a pro with curls and I will be retuning to her to get my hair cut next time I need a trim.

Just went for the first time today for a haircut and left very happy! So easy to make an appointment, the space is great, and Joseph is super talented at cutting. My hair has so much more movement from the layers. A great spot on the UES and would recommend!

Love this place! Isabelle cut the most beautiful long layers that made styling so much easier for me. She also did a single process and glaze that has me looking 10 years younger ! Great vibe and beautiful salon & experience. I’ll definitely be back
