My daughter have been getting her braids done with this establishment for 2 or more years and never disappoints! I love the quick response and service and pricing. My daughter hair is always intact when braids are taken down. Very pleased with the service!

Ive been going to this salon for almost 2 years but my last experience was the worst. I texted her questions about what hair I should bring which she never answered. But then complained she couldn't braid with the hair I bought. She was almost 2 hours late to the appointment and had me waiting out in the cold. She burned me while trying to burn a braid. The worst part was that the other braider was clearly sick. She would cough and sneeze into her hands then put them right into my scalp this happened multiple times. After all this Dorris still charged me full price. I was sick by the time I got home. I will never be going back there

When I went I was expecting like really great quality based off of the reviews but it wasn’t good at all. It’s a salon so I was expecting a wash and blow dry and then high quality braids and that was not what I got. I got fed in braids and my braids were different sizes and not straight. I definitely recommended another place unless you are in desperate need of braids for cheap.

Horrible experience at this braiding shop. I requested small knotless braids. They used way too much hair for each braid that my head felt so heavy, and would have totally caused breakage, I took them out when I got home. It was also so tight, I kept saying something during the service and getting ignored. I ended up bursting into tears for them to take me seriously. They switched out the braiders and it was a bit better, but not by much. The parts were also not very consistent and my edges were snatched. Will not be returning.

I highly recommend Joyce African Hair Braiding. In addition to being the best braider I've met in the U.S, she is very fast and always on time, waiting for me at 8am every time I go there. She is very serious and also a fun person to talk to. I wish I had met her sooner!
