I have been going here for hair cuts now for a year. It has truly been an awesome experience. Pros: -Takes the time to truly understand and have a visual of the cut that I want. - Listens openly -Communicates about the styles I want and the upkeep that it requires - Walks me through styling and products that could be helpful with my hair type. Cons: -I have to drive a bit to get there, lol Overall: It has been a lovely experience getting to know this stylist and their work. We cut my hair short last summer and it has grown back long and healthy with regular cuts and styles.

Jordan has created such a calm, welcoming space. I immediately felt at ease when I walked in for the first time. I know exactly what is happening and what to expect every step of the appointment. I've never felt more confident in my hair or my appearance in general.

I LOVE getting my hair cut at JPALM. The atmosphere is so nice and chill and Jordan is such a sweet person. I appreciate the care that is taken to get my cut the way I want, as well as pointers on how to style it. Unlike some other people, I really appreciate being asked if I can be touched and can’t imagine why people are so up in arms about basic respect.

I LOVE my haircut and I LOVE the experience that I had getting my haircut. Jordan is a fantastic listener, asks the right questions, and does a wonderful job of communicating throughout the haircut -- all things that are necessary for getting the haircut that you want. The studio is incredibly cozy, clean, and private. I cannot recommend JPalm Hairdressing more. Anyone and everywhere can and should get their hair cut the way they want, and JPalm is the person to do it!

I absolutely love getting my hair cut at JPalm! It was a little difficult to find the correct door my first time going, but that was really no big deal. The space is beautiful and cozy with the best smelling incense. Upon entering Jordan immediately offered me a complimentary snack and showed me where I can store my things during the appointment. They asked me for my pronouns which showed me how dedicated they are to inclusivity. They also asked for consent to touch me before starting the haircut which was very kind and helped me mentally prepare for session. I do recommend saving photos of your hair inspo pics because the wifi and cellular network can be difficult sometimes. Jordan has gender-neutral pricing so a haircut on my head will cost the same as a haircut on the next person's. Goodbye pink-tax!!! Thank you, Jordan, for being sensitive to people's needs and operating such an amazing salon!

I went here just over a year ago. The experience was great, but what really stuck with me was how JPalm taught me how to do the haircut they had just given me. This showed me they truly care about giving a great service over making more money. They are an Omaha Gem!

I've been to JPalm for two hair appointments now, and I expect to be back for many, many more. JPalm is simply incredible at their job. Any one star Google review you see here is a homophobic troll attempting to tear down a highly skilled professional as well as a very kind and wise human being. I'm not lying when I say JPalm has made my hair dreams come true! I've spent most of my life trying and failing to find hairdressers that truly understand my vision and what I want to do with my hair, and JPalm exceeded with flying colors. If you're anywhere near Omaha and have been thinking about getting that really exciting, alternative, or queer-affirming haircut you've been dreaming about but have been too nervous to commit to, JPalm is a hairdresser you can trust--on a personal level and as a professional. Book that appointment!!!

I’ve been going to Jpalm for a few years now and I leave feeling so happy and confident every time! I’ve tried a handful of different styles over the years and Jordan has nailed it every time. I have thick, curly hair so it’s hard to find someone who understands curl patterns and layers as well as Jordan does!!

JPalm is my favorite hairdresser I have ever been to. Jordan listens and asks questions for clarification. The stream of communication that is at every step of the appointment is so helpful because I know in some hairdressing chairs I have been in I have had a pit in the bottom of my stomach thinking, "omg this is not what I wanted, what have I done???" The space is clean and relaxing and I never feel pressured to make conversation. Jordan is an extremely talented hairdresser and gave me the cut of my dreams! I am always excited for my next appointment. Highly recommend!

This place has completely changed my relationship with my hair. Jordan was extremely helpful in helping me embrace a longer hairstyle and all the moments that come in the growing out phase. I’ve had the most incredible experiences at JPalm! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. I had a mixed experience here. On the one hand, I got what I was seeking — which was a knowledgeable hairstylist who is both queer and really familiar with queer fashion. I feel like they did a good job of giving me the haircut I asked for. The interior of the place had a lot of very cool decorations, lots of neat queer-focused art and stuff, which I love. However, I didn’t get a good vibe from the hair dresser. I arrived early, largely because I was intimidated by the complicated and kind of yell-y directions I was texted about finding the studio. I followed the instructions and rang the doorbell when I arrived; it made a noise but no one answered — not a big deal, I was early. When they opened the door, she was shocked to see me, and almost immediately launched into correcting me about how I should ring the doorbell when I arrived and showing me the sign. It took a few seconds before I was able to explain that I DID ring the bell and immediately they were like “oh maybe it’s dead again” — okay?? If this is a known problem, maybe you could ask me if I tried before lecturing me?? I agreed to do the social media recording, because that’s how I found this salon and it felt like a nice thing to do, and that was the most personable she was the entire time. The rest of the haircut, they were very standoffish and stoic, and quick to correct me in a way that made me feel like I was always one second away from doing something wrong and getting another lecture. It was the quietest haircut I’ve ever had; I’m not a big talker, but they also didn’t open the door for conversation or make it feel natural to chat. Importantly, I felt rushed out at the end. I wear glasses, so I couldn’t see the haircut in progress, and wasn’t given much time to look at my haircut or even offered a mirror to see the back of it. I’m used to a hairdresser asking me if I like it or if there’s any changes that need to be made before I get out of the chair. Overall, I wouldn’t go here on a regular basis because I didn’t find the vibe of the environment welcoming and comfortable.

Today was my first visit with Jordan, what an amazing experience! I booked a consultation and cut. She listened, gave feedback, and educated me on styling and products. A true master at her craft, she was amazing to watch, and you can see her passion! The shop was peaceful and welcoming. I came in lacking confidence and left feeling amazing! I will definitely be back!

Jordan listened to and considered everything I had to say when I went to go get my haircut! I hadn't had my hair professionally cut in YEARS so I wasn't even sure what exactly to ask for and had several ideas of what I thought might look good. I never thought that I would be able to get them all done in a way that looked good, but Jordan was very reassuring that it would be totally ok to do all of the things I had wanted AND made it look SO GOOD!! Very much so a great experience and will be coming back!

This place is hard to find and the owner will seize any opportunity (in our case my daughter was late to the appointment by by 8 mins) to charge you without providing service. Absolutely no flexibility or professional courtesy extended to first time customers. My young daughter left the appointment in tears after she was berated for "not following" the complicated office entry directions texted to her ahead of the appointment. The time spent in lecturing could have been used to start the appointment?? I will not recommend this place to anyone.

JPalm is an incredibly welcoming and friendly environment. From the studio, to Jordan herself. I had not had a professional haircut in years, and was so worried about cutting it after growing it out, but JPalm delivered! Pay no mind to the trolled reviews, this is a wonderful space. Not a fan of the inaccessible policies and lack of heart for me when I was waiting to enter their space and they cancelled the appointment and charged me when they didn’t let me in. They could check their front door to see if someone is waiting for them. I won’t be returning or recommending them anymore. ———- Actual client here- JPalm is a fantastic shop for your hair magic needs. They are incredibly talented and your hair will look good for a long time after the service is done! They know how to cut your hair tailored to your needs and they are incredibly well priced for their services and skill level (flat fees!). They somehow manage to cut your hair to look good in the moment and grow out fantastically. I recommend this place to anyone in need of a shag/mullet or just a great human who knows hair!

I absolutely adored my experience here !!! I felt so comfortable and as someone who has trauma & at times sensory overload it felt really, really nice to be asked for my consent. It made me feel comfortable that if at any point I had a trigger or a sensory overload (which happens very often) I could have easily asked for a break. As for my hair, I LOVED IT. I felt so cool and it was exactly what I was looking for. JPalm was also an incredible person to hang with! They have amazing energy and are just overall so cool. I felt very comfortable the entire time & they also made me feel so confident in myself!!! Such a fun experience, 10/10 recommend! 🫶🏼

I figure if people can spread negativity on here without walking through the doors then I can share positivity. I have watched countless consults and reveals through TikTok and am blown away every time by the care, attention to detail, and talent shown. I’m genuinely sad I’m not close enough to visit this salon, I would trust them 1000% with my hair.

I had such a wonderful experience at the salon. I was really hesitant on seeing a new hairdresser, but Jordan did absolutely wonderful. Something I loved was the education she gave me about styling my hair. Instructions were clear and simple. Now I feel much more confident working with my hair each day. Highly recommend!

I recently came to this salon for a haircut as my usual stylist doesn’t like to cut shags and that’s okay! Jordan listened to what I wanted, I’m not always the best at explaining what I’m looking for and pictures don’t help me as I feel it sets unrealistic expectations. We were able to break down my overall goal and establish an amazing cut that is super easy for me to style! I also love that product isn’t sold at the salon so there is no pressure to purchase additional items but Jordan is still happy to recommend what will work best and let you know where to get it!
