I was greeted when I walked in. My only issue was they kept going back and forth about the price. I was in and out within 3hrs. The girls doing my hair weren't rough at all. My edges are super tender and they kept apologizing. They didn't pull my hair and it wasn't super tight. Even though they kept gogoing back and forth about the price, it was still reasonable. The hair was included with the service and being that I was out in 3hrs made my entire night. I also spotted my cousins product in the store as I was looking around. Make sure to check them out.

Fatima, for shame on you for how you treated Ellie. She supported your business and did not deserve the totally unprofessional behavior that she received from you. How you treat customers matters. It’s sad that you don’t realize your business will reap the fruit of your doings. For shame! Do better!

I paid $220 and scheduled this hair appointment a month prior. I told Fatima I was going on a cruise and would need to wash the salt water out my hair when it got wet. Fatima assured me this would be fine. Two days into my cruise my hair got wet on the jet skies and after rinsing my hair my micro braids were horrendous. They began to come out profusely. It was hot my hair was super puffy I had to make do the remainder of my trip. Only to get back and have Fatima lie to me and refuse to take accountability. She then became hostile and began to hype the others in her native tongue. They try to bully you if you dispute their poor work. Do Not I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. I didn’t bother reading the reviews until this happened to me. I’ve included a few that are similar to my experience. Seems to be a trend here. Don’t be their next victim *********+**RESPONSE*********** I could have waisted more valuable time out of my life by reading your lie that you offered but I will not. The vast other negative reviews that resemble mine attest to your and your establishment credibility. You did a poor job, you refused to take accountability, you lied and if all this wasn’t enough you became hostile, irate and began inciting your staff to follow suit. SHAME ON YOU! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE THUGS SERVICE

this place is amazing! I had an 830 appointment, and I got seated immediately, and the braiders did an amazing job on my hair! Environment is friendly and I will definitely be back third time!

Don't Visit J’s salon I visited to get bohemian knotless turned out to be quite a frustrating experience. the braider handled my thick hair roughly instead of taking the time to blow dry it gently. I expressed my pain, to which she responded with "You do it then." started combing my hair myself. In the midst of this, she abruptly left to attend to another customer without sanitizing her hands, only to return instructing me on how to comb my hair. I decided to leave the shop. The shop was overcrowded! I barely had room in the small space in the back.

I called and asked if they offered spring twist. I was told they did. Looking at the site, reviews, and all the things they sell inside the shop, I assumed they would have hair (atleast natural colors) for the most popular styles right now. That was my mistake. I get there and they tell me I have to go buy the hair and asked if I knew what kind of hair to get. I do my own hair at home with spring twist hair so I left, went to the beauty supply nearby (that offers no refunds or exchanges) and grabbed spring twist hair similar to what I use at home. I get back and sit down for service, the stylist tells me I got the wrong hair and goes back and forth with me about it. Instead of telling me the hair THEY preferred to use, they proceeded to attempt the style and complained about the hair the whole time. I would have rathered they just said they couldn't do it. Instead I spent $35 for hair, much that they wasted because they were being rough with it. Then she asked if I was quoted a price already, I said no, she said something to the owner(?) In French and quoted $180 which I was fine with. Then another stylist comes to tag team my hair, she wasted several locs of hair before giving up and walking away clearly frustrated and turning her nose up at the hair. Now they didn't tell me the hair they preferred to use but overall I had three stylist work on my hair who EACH used the braiding pomade THEY preferred while working on my hair. And they were irritated with the client next to me because she requested they not use specific pomades on her. Because they didn't know how to work with the hair I brought, it LOOKS like 2 different people worked on my head and 2 days after the install, braids started slipping out. I chose not to go back for them to fix it because they obviously couldn't braid with the hair. It's been 3 weeks and I'll be taking them out this weekend. Overall I've lost at least 10 braids and the rest looks like I've had the style 7 weeks already despite tying my hair up every night. I will say the 1st stylist did one braid and asked me if it was OK, and I was ok with HER work. Idk WHAT the lady who worked on the back was doing but it's clearly different and braids have come out in the front AND back. They were most friendly and personable but I do feel like I wasted money.

Very quick! Did a great job on my thin spots. This is my 3rd time coming. I usually text for an appt. & include a pic of style & length & i have not had any problems. Got box braids before & they held up well. Tried twists this time. Hopefully they hold up well too. Very satisfied 👍🏾

In all the years that I have gone to Js Hair Braiding, I have never had a bad experience and they have always kept their rates reasonable.

The joy and passion in this place is felt upon entering. The Teamwork and customer service had me in tears. They treat customers like family. Shops like this is rare.

I had a hair emergency and they were able to offer me some cornrow braids, with the curls at the end, for a reasonable price and they were understanding I had to be at work in less than two hours. Let's just say, they were done in good timing for me to make it to work on time! :)

The boutique is nice, clean and has an array of products from tea to African clothing. There are different varieties of colors and textures. The ladies are knowledgeable of all of the different braiding styles, to include sew-ins and crochet. They are fast and do a great job.

Had a appointment a week in advance to be in at 9am prepared to come in & was told not to come a death left them shorthanded & to come in at 1 arrived at 1 & was reassured someone could do the style i wanted i waited for almost 2 hours before a stylist who literally just argued with another customer who ended up taking her braids out & leaving because it was not what she asked for & i can agree it was HORRIBLE i wished that i wouldnt be getting her or her energy over my head just my luck she walked up & told me to sit in her chair i showed her a picture of what I wanted & she still proceeded to do what she wanted & when i told her it was wrong she told me she dont do stitched braiding(i just wanted lemonade braids)feeling overwhelmed i just decided to say no thanks and i left never to return again & i wouldnt recommend them 👎

Jo’s braided my hair and it was terrible. Had appointment and she kept stopping to do other things and help other braid clients hair . She kept stopping to answer her phone and texting . The hair she put in my head was not human hair. This place is terrifying will not be going back.

My sister dropped my niece off to get two stitch braids I come to pick her up she had sent me photos before and I can tell by her face in the photos she did not like them and in person they was worse so I asked the lady in the dirty blond wig who did her hair cause she add more hair she had a attitude and said she’ll get to her when she can and the shop was packed! So Im looking more at the hair and she had done the braids first and just slapped gel on top plus the part was crooked and it was white from her caking so much stuff on so she wanted to take them down I nicely told her that we was going to take it down and leave and I will pay for the pack of the hair she started getting loud and arguing with me saying my sister said it was fine and that my niece said she liked it I explained to her she did not like it nor did my sister she just said it was fine cause my niece said she liked it cause she was nervous and scared she’s only 11 she did not want to cause a seen or be disrespectful without an adult there so the lady who did it basically said I convinced my niece she didn’t like her hair and I had to pay her 25 for the service which I told her I not pay for nothing we took that ugly stuff down and left she yelled AND DONT COME BACK and I said why would we if you messed her hair up and so y’all don’t think I’m lying I added of photo of a review from another customer who was in there while the incident happened saying the braids looked horrible herself

Very pleasant braiding experience! I was there a long time but it was worth it because I love my braids and my head doesn't hurt! Fatima and Paris did my boho braids and they were great! The other ladies helped at the end and were very polite! I will be back.

They did an amazing job on my hair today, I will be back. Please make sure you are specific about your budget and type of braids and style. You cannot get upset with these ladies if they misinterpret the style you may desire. Sweet ladies and quick. Will be back. Love the owner, braiding is her expertise 😌🫶🏾

Booked an appointment with them ! When i arrived for my appointment they told me nobody was available to do my hair ! Very unprofessional!!! Did not call me to inform , my appointment was canceled!!

Had my CHILD there from 12:45pm to 8:00pm and had a “trainer” on my child yet didn’t have two ppl on her head. 8 hours is wild for SHORT BRAIDS AND SHE HAS SHORT HAIR. NEVER AGAIN. When you drop your child off they tend to just take they time and don’t care how long they make your child sit there so if y’all got children DO NOT DROP THEM OFF. They did not tell me they had a trainer on my daughters hair, because if they had I wouldn’t of allowed that on my child that don’t know how to speak up for herself. I have been coming there for years and that is not the first time they have been on one! It’s been fights and arguments with each other to the point one of the workers ran into a client! Very unprofessional! I don’t like having to find new places, but now I have no choice.
