I went to K. Louise boutique a few weeks ago for the first time, for a cut and wash. I was very Pleased with everything, it was very clean The atmosphere was calming and the owners were professional and friendly I will be going back.

Heard great things from someone who had recently met one of the stylists. Decided to schedule an appointment for a perm rod set. Scheduled the appointment online two weeks in advance and called during business hours to notify the stylist of the perm rod size I preferred so she could be fully prepared for the appointment. Someone answered the phone and told me I could speak to the stylist then told me the stylist was not available and would call me back before closing. I waited and never received a call! I cancelled the appointment. Weeks later, I still wanted to connect with the salon, so I submitted a first time client inquiry form online. The follow up email stated that someone would contact me within 24 hours with the exception of days the business is closed. It has now been three week since I submitted the online inquiry form and I have not been contacted. Very disappointing experience!

Highly recommend! I have been going to K. Louise Boutique for a few years now and have gotten my hair styled in a variety of ways from color, to a major cut, and straightening. Everyone in the salon is nice and welcoming!

Kara, Owner of the Salon has been doing my hair since 2017. I travel a lot domestic and International and everywhere I go people stop me to ask who does my hair. She and her team are amazing! I am blown away every time I get my hair done with how creative, innovative, and forward thinking Kara is. Did I mention I travel 3 hours each way to get my hair done!

I had heat damage from a previous hairstylist and went in April for a curly cut (3c hair) and when I say my hair has been flourishing ever since!! She also recommended a Curl Can Dream curly hair products that my hair truly loves. Can't thank you enough!! You brought my confidence back!! You're magical!!! 😍😍

I've gotten two curly cuts by Marisa and have been super happy with the results. Not only is the hair cut great (Marisa is a magician with the shears) but I love the way my hair grows in after Marisa cuts it. Highly recommend for any curl type. Tea and snacks available too!

Highly recommend, especially if you need help with natural hair and hair care. My appointment started on time, covid protocols were followed and the salon was comfortable with a calm atmosphere. It was my first appointment and Marissa sat down with me to talk about my hair, what I’ve been doing with it and gave me really good options. She suggested styles and types of products and tools to use at home, and really explained how to maintain the style on my own. I took her suggestion of flat twists and they came out perfectly, she did a great job all around and my appointment took the amount of time it said it would on the website. Marissa was very pleasant and professional, it was a great experience.

It's been a couple of years since I have been to a professional stylist due to bad experiences. But having Kelly work her magic on my hair was much needed and and one of the greatest experiences I have had in a minute. She was able to achieve the look I wanted and exceed it!!Definitely will go back again

Ok, first off, my hair feels amazing! Kelly B is dope. This Black owned eclectic boutique is the perfect space for kinky, curly, textured hair. This is my first time and I can assure you it won't be my last. I was nervous and unsure what to do initially but my hair needed this care. Kelly took her time and catered to all my hair needs.

According to them: “K. Louise Boutique salon Is a small " boutique style salon" with an upscale home feel. We endeavor to ensure the personal comfort and safety of each guest by providing one on one stylist time for a truly relaxing customized experience.” I just left my appointment with Marisa after having the WORST appointment experience I’ve ever had in my life that directly contradicts this purported ethos of this salon. My original appointment was scheduled for 1:45 pm (that I booked over a month ago per their scheduling practices), and I received an email changing this appointment to 3 pm. I arrived 10-15 minutes early for my curly cut and color retouch, only to sit for TWO HOURS while she colored and cut another customer, and intermittently cut a section of my hair before returning to the other customer. After this awful example of the “one on one” customized experience that this salon touts, I asked about the delay only to receive the response, “thank you for your patience.” *For future reference, errors in scheduling or appointment overlap that lead to such a delay can be handled by: 1-calling the customer BEFORE they arrive to let them know that their appointment would be delayed. 2-ACTUALLY apologizing for YOUR scheduling mishap in clear and sincere language, instead of “thank you for your patience,” which is not an admission of an error. After sitting for two hours to start my appointment and finally finishing my cut, sometime after 6 pm Marisa and another stylist examined my hair to then say that my hair density is “too high” and that it will take too long to do my color, (10 pm according to them). That was, of course, was followed by an absence of apology, and instead admonishment that I should have selected a different coloring option, and that she was “sorry for the misunderstanding.” Interestingly, if my appointment were started at my originally scheduled time of 1:45 pm, or even had started at my appointment time, I would have been able to complete my cut and color as expected. To top off this “relaxing, customized experience,” when I chose to leave because they were doing my wash and go with a product that clearly was going to do NOTHING for my hair, they still charged me the full amount for the curly cut. (I’m typing this with wet hair that is in a shower cap (because that’s how I left the salon) preparing to RE-WASH AND STYLE my hair on my only day off in 11 DAYS, just to go back to work in the morning). I’m sure in the response to this review they’ll say that they offered to do my color on another day (a Saturday, when I’m working or in NOVEMBER!!), but it is truly the lack of customer service and lack of accountability that cemented my opinion of the salon. I was in your salon for nearly 4 hours to leave with un-styled, un-colored hair? Do better.

I have been looking for a professional natural hair salon for years and a friend of mine recommended K Louise Boutique. Marissa was my stylist and she was awesome! I appreciate how she was intentional about the products and techniques she used on my hair. My color and cut was fantastic. The salon atmosphere was very chic, intimate, clean, and chill. Good stylist are hard to find, I will definitely make K Louise Boutique my hair doctor, and Marissa is a dope stylist, I highly recommend! 💚

The salon was beautiful and intimate. It was the perfect retreat and getaway while getting some hair TLC. Marissa was supet sweet, patient, and attentive to my hair care needs. My cut is amazing and coils perfect. The compliments are popping and I truly look great!

I recently moved to the area, and was looking for a new salon. Marisa is really great and did a great job on my hair, asking questions, as she had never cut this type of crazy spaghetti, with this type of cut. And we both took a chance and I love it. I’ve driven from NYC just to get my hair done. First time in a long while I’ve had color done on my natural hair and love the results and most importantly it was and still is healthy!! My curl pattern hasn’t changed either (a kinky curly girl’s worst nightmare). Everyone here are extremely talented, professional and very friendly. I have visited post COVID and I’m super impressed by their level of safety precautions that were implemented.

Loved my experience! Marisa is my hair stylist and she was so sweet and professional! She definitely specializes in natural hair. I am a 4c/4b natural. I needed a trim badly and I did a flat twist our service. She shampooed and conditioned my hair, blew it out, trim my ends and did a flat twist out and the results were amazing. Can't wait to come back!

The punctuality is superb, even when you make a reservation online they let you know when you will be done. The setting is very comfortable. Best hair experience EVER. My natural curls were pampered and are so HAPPY! The stylist was very well informed and trained. I appreciated that she examined my hair as it was and asked questions and really listened to me.

Kara was my stylist she is very professional and friendly. Her staff is professional and friendly as well. The shop has a very pleasant atmospher and makes u feel welcome. They Listen and explains what is being done as they achieves your goal. Very happy with how I was treated and the out come of my hair style made me feel like a new women. I received a haircut and highlights and many compliments from strangers. I Will continue to go there for all my hair care and coloring.
