I have wavy/curly hair and Kim did an amazing job cutting my hair! It looks exactly how I wanted. She did a dry cut, shampooed, scrunched with a microfiber towel, and diffused my hair. Cut and shampoo were $35. Kim is also very nice and it was a generally stress-free environment.

Absolutely ADORE this hair salon!! Everyone who works there are always so very nice and helpful, always having a wonderful conversation with them while getting my haircut. I've been twice and they have made such a tremendous impact on me that I'll always come back! I specifically have gotten my hair cut from Tommie and he is such a wonderful human being and always does a steller job!

I have come here 2 times; first time was for a balayage and it turned out very pretty. This time I came for a hair cut and got Tommie. He was so helpful and kind. I love how my hair looks and feels afterwards. I 100% recommend Tommie & this salon!

Really awesome experience here. Tommie was amazing. I have never had my hair bleached, he took the time to explain what products I would need to maintain and how to use them. I will definitely be back.

I phoned, & didn't make the best impression. I was hands-free, & driving, & the person disconnected, after difficulty hearing me. No detox shampoo service. Transition from unemployed, includes not having access to self-care tools, for neglected, homeless hair. 5 Stars for answering the phone. That's rare, these days. Thank you.

Scheduled my appointment weeks ago and there was an oops moment which ended up working for the best. Tommie ended up doing my hair and it turned out great. I have been to salons where you tell them what you want and they just go along with it and not try and talk you through how the outcome will actually be. Kim is NOT like that, if you have a thought in mind, she will let you know if it will work out and why. I have to say I am glad I listened. So I came to a final decision and the final result was better than I had ever expected These guys actually care about the peole that come in there salon, and I am glad that I chose to come back. Not to mention with the work I had done, the price was more reasonable tohan I had expected it to be. I will definitely be coming back for sure!

Tommie was an absolute sweetheart and great conversationalist who provided some of the BEST service I've ever received. There is no questioning where I will be going from now on for all my hair needs. I got a split dye and cut, my hair has never felt this good and looked this fluffy IN MY LIFE. I'm in love with it and have all the confidence I have never had. Thank you for making me feel like I could take on thworld,Tommie (And setiy)

Absolutely love having my hair dyed by Erin. She always does an amazing job! I've had golden blonde, highlights, and silver done, and loved the final results to all of them.

I came here to get my hair blond and it was a fantastic experience. Tommie was phenomenal, I love my new hair. I love the service. Highly recommend to anyone. Also I do have kinky hair and they had the right products and even one I hadn't heard of. He knew how to scrunch and dry my hair. Love it.

I could not be happier with my first visit! Erin was so detail oriented and talented, she made my vision come to life and I can tell she’s passionate about what she does. Plus there was a dog which made the experience even more enjoyable!! I will definitely be returning.

I knew from my years of living in the neighborhood that Kaleidoscope was THE place to go. So when my kiddo decided they wanted a new look this year, I knew who to trust. I texted the shop hoping I could get an appointment close to the start of school & Tommie squeezed us in just in time <3 Kim & Tommie never once misgendered or talked down to M* and gave them exactly the look they were hoping for. Honestly couldn't be happier <3 Thank you so so much <3

I was in town visiting my niece who is 28. I am from Louisville many moons ago. She wanted a different look which included shaving one side of her head. I contacted a few. But Erin was the one who worked with me. I had to reschedule several times because of our schedule. When we finally made it in there Saturday it was awesome. Erin worked with my niece every step of the way. It turned out even better than we thought! Then I had an idea I wanted mine cut and styled. 🤭 Well I am 66 yrs old Erin showed me how to deal with my thick wavy hair. I am so happy with the results. We stayed until closing and I will always remember that special Saturday night in the Highlands 🥰 Thank you!

Kim is an actual goddess. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair - she is so friendly and she cares so much about you and your experience at her salon. She is amazing at what she does!! 10/10 would recommend.

Kim is the only hair stylist in Louisville I will go to, hands down no question about it! I’ve never walked out disappointed, and she had never steered me wrong. As someone who has dyed their hair since they were 12 years old, it’s safe to say it takes a magician to make my hair continue to look amazing and healthy! Kim does just that. She keeps me realistic with what I want my hair to do (e.g. when I walk in wanting platinum blonde every time in spite of having had very red hair within the past year) and has done excellent work gradually lightening to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny. Also, she’s incredibly affordable. I highly recommend!

Kim is wonderful, and her salon is incredibly welcoming to everyone. She and her staff are very professional and have been vigilant about wearing masks to keep clients safe, which always makes me feel comfortable during appointments. Her creativity and expertise send me out the door super satisfied with my cut every time I visit, resulting in everyone I know showering me with compliments on my look, and has prompted other family members to go to her as well. Plus, her dog is precious. Go see Kim ;)

Kim the owner left max bleach in my hair then went outside to smoke and chat with other stylist left it in my hair for an hour plus burned half my hair off to about an inch and a half length. Then tried blaming it on me. I would add pictures but no spot for it on here. She told me I can no longer bleach my hair for 2years until it grows out.

First I have to say THANK YOU TOMMIE! I am obsessed with my hair and it turned out exactly the way I wanted! If I lived in Louisville permanently I would be coming here every time. If you need anything done to your hair I suggest going to Kaleidoscope Hair Salon. They will not disappoint!

I have been looking for the right hair salon for about four years now and THIS is it! Erin did my hair and not only is she personable bit she is AMAZING at her job! I love the cut and color she did. I was also so happy when I told her what I wanted and she didn't try to convince me to do something else. She listened, she cut, she colored and I loved her for it! She also did for an amazing price!
