I'm Filipina with thick coarse hair. It's been over five months since my last haircut, and my hair was like a thick mop. I was hoping for just a trim, and Kaori exceeded my expectations. She took great care and attention with shaping my hair, and making sure that it fell nicely after she blow dried it. Although I don't live in the area, I will definitely go back to her the next time I'm in SF. Notes: (1) Kaori only takes one client at a time, and we both wore face masks. She also propped the door open to ventilate the salon. (2) She doesn't accept debit/credit cards, so make sure you bring cash or a check.

Appointment only salon that is kinda spendy ($70) but completely worth it. She takes the time to massage your scalp during the wash and really makes you relax and feel comfortable. Her attention to detail on the actual haircut was phenomenal. I did not have an exact idea of how I wanted my hair (just cleaned up) but she made it look fantastic. She also gives a shoulder massage before she finishes which also feels amazing. I'm pretty sure I found my new stylist.

Kaori is an expert; very precise and very efficient. She never makes a mistake when doing my cut and it's perfectly even from all angles. If you're looking for quality don't even consider anyone else. Plus, she's real friendly and her shop is clean!

If you wanna experience hair bliss you gotta book your appointment with King. I've known him from the other location and given this is my second session, he never disappoints. He keeps it real, very outgoing and gets the job done in such a great efficient manner. King is definitely blessed with some magical hands and do not hesitate to see the wonders he can do. Looking forward to my next session!

Just had my hair done there, Kaori really knows how to handle Asian hair, she also applies various kinds of hair treatment along the way so that your hair wont get damaged. Very clean salon and great conversation too.

Kaori was very knowledgeable and friendly. I got a great haircut that I'm very pleased with -- she followed my requests but also suggested some things, such as the best ways to even out my hair or lighten it, that helped a lot. Would love to go back again. She only accepts cash though so make sure you come prepared!

I liked how detail oriented and personable Kaori was. To be honest, my haircut was not complicated, I just wanted my hair to be shorter. She was able to ask the right questions and guide the haircut to something I wanted. I also enjoyed being able to talk to her in Japanese. Being able to walk in at 7pm on a weekday for a haircut is also a plus.
