I've been a client of Meg's for a couple of years now and not only is she an incredibly talented stylist and magical colorist, she is just a joy to be around. When I first starting seeing her, I was really in the throws from a recent diagnosis and was feeling very down about myself and hair. She was supportive, empathetic, and so knowledgeable. Plus, she's hilarious and made me feel at ease immediately. I really credit her as a big part of me feeling like me again - maybe even better. I cannot recommend her or the salon enough!

Incredibly amazing 🙌🏼 I am a very picky customer I want everything with details and on point results. And I am speechless right now. Wow what just happened ! I came here for the first time for my hair color and got the most outstanding hair stylist who did it with so much detailing and made me amazed. I not going to anyone !!!! I just moved to the area and spotted a gal’s haircut and ask where and who had done it—I was quickly referred to this salon and Meg was the stylist. Soon after I mad an an appointment and my dreams came true. Meg knocked it out of the park!! I’ll be headed there again in 6-8 weeks!!! Thank you Meg!!!

I accidentally became loyal to Karen Marie Salon about five years ago and now fly in for cuts by Kelly and sometimes color from Karen. They have a relaxing atmosphere, great products and very kind people.

I love this salon! I chose it over a year ago for the reviews and location. I’m a lazy gal who picks convenience first but no matter where I end up in Chicago, I will always come back! They do great job with color! I have inconsistent curly hair and have ended up with the most healthiest curls I’ve ever had because they know how to cut and use the right products

I’ve been getting my hair cut with Meg for years now and always look forward to my appointments. Not only am I consistently SO pleased with my cut & style, but she has me laughing my butt off every time (eg, she has had to pause with the scissors til I stop). Love this salon, love Meg!! Karen is a fantastic colorist. I came in with the brightest semi-permanent red that wasn't budging after 4 months, placed on top of 10 years of various forms of ginger permanent dye, and she managed to take me back to pretty close to my natural hair color. My phone makes the color read warmer than it actually is - it's much closer to an actual ash color in real life. After a color removing treatment, it was a duller red, and after bleaching, it was bright orange so I was a little anxious about whether or not we'd be able to get to a more natural color, but I trusted her process and got exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you, Karen!!

Meg gave me a great haircut for my curly hair which had been so damaged and cut with wrong techniques before. She did a magical work of giving me a nice frame to my face, she is just so talented with knowing what works for you! The atmosphere in the salon is so relaxing. Highly recommend her and I would definitely drive 5 hours again to go back!

Lauren did such an amazing job on my curly long hair! I wanted a shorter length with layers and she cut my hair perfectly. Anyone with curly hair knows that not everyone can cut our curls correctly but Lauren was a pro. My hair had more volume and felt healthier after my haircut. 10/10 would recommend!

Meg is my regular stylist and I’m so happy I chose to stick with KMS for hair on my wedding day. Meg, Jess, and Kelly worked with my bridesmaids, mom, and myself for both blowouts and updos. We got so many compliments on our hair and everything held up throughout the day. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and the planning process was so easy thanks to awesome communication by Roland.

Since I come to yoga near this place I decided to make an appointment to get a hair cut, there is a guy in front behind the plexiglass without a mask who I made the appointment with for the following week. The rest of the stylists do have masks so you know. When I arrived to my appointment the stylist was ready for me and she was very nice and friendly. She washed my hair, cut it, washed it and got it ready for me to continue my day. She sort of gave me a scalp massage but I think because I was distracting her by taking, it didn't last long. Also the back of my neck didn't end up completely clean. I did like the service and the attention I was given, will come back again. I'll ask to see my self in the mirror next time before I leave to make sure it's clean

I don't write reviews often, but I left feeling so great after Meg T. cut my long hair that I had to. I went from lifeless shaggy hair to a hair-do I can't stop looking at. Being a first time long hair grower, she also entertained all my questions I had about caring for it. 11/10, definitely coming back.

Friends have been recommending Karen Marie Salon for ages, so when my long-time stylist recently moved away, I gave it a try. I immediately felt at ease, thanks to all all their Covid precautions and the salon was spotlessly clean. But the real "highlight" was the great job Karen did with my color. It turned out amazing! I would definitely recommend KMS to anyone looking for a friendly salon with a very talented staff.

I went to the salon last week to be a hair model for Shadin but i wasn't sure really what to expect besides the lesson was for one length haircut. I was nicely greeted & Shadin grabbed my coat and made me an Aveda tea. Shadin and the instructor had a thorough consultation with me about what they wanted to do with the haircut to make sure i was ok with it. Shadin was very professional and did an excellent job! Being a model can be a hit or miss but i was extremely happy with the professional service that i received and was complemented at a store later that day!

I've been doing my own hair coloring (and cutting) for years, I'm fairly low maintenance. But I was getting married in the midst of the pandemic, meaning a much smaller event than we'd originally been planning and wanted to have my hair professionally colored so I would at least look great in the photos. I was recommended to Karen by a friend and it was wonderful. They were very sweet and followed all the appropriate guidelines. I felt completely safe and my hair looked fantastic. Very much recommended.
