My husband and I went to get a consult because based on the reviews he read he wanted to try the salon instead of his usual barber shop. The young lady that was there asked if we were there for head spa and said they were closed. When I mentioned what he wanted she said “we’re closed, try a barber shop”. Seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered.

All I can say is wow. I’m extremely happy I booked myself along with my entire bridal party with Katherine Jon Salon. Rose is an exceptional manager who brought us all bagels and even mimosas the morning of! What’s better than a mimosa at 5am the day of your wedding?! She was very thorough and made sure I had everything I needed the entire experience. Truly an exceptional manager I cannot say enough about Rose! Makeup artists and hairstylists did absolutely everything we asked for. Another huge plus was that the pricing was the best I found on the island! I have to 10000% recommend this salon for any of your bridal needs and they will ensure everything gets done in a timely manner and to your preference. Thank you again to Rose and her team for making the morning of my wedding an amazing experience! Katherine you have an outstanding team!

Beautiful salon. Washer was very sweet. My hairdresser barely spoke to me. Didn’t love the hair but what really hurt was paying over $320 for a cut and a few highlights. Sooooo overpriced.

Experience was a 10/10 from start to finish. The salon is dope as hell and the staff is very friendly. My stylist was Alyssa, who gave an outstanding haircut and had an amazing personality. She really took her time and knew what she was doing. I appreciate a luxury experience and that’s exactly what you get here. You guys are awesome, thank you.

Nicole did such a fabulous job taking into account everything I wanted with my hair! It was also a squeeze in first ever appointment, and yet everyone treated me as though I was an established customer. My hair is beautiful, and Nicole took such beautiful photos afterward! Couldn’t recommend enough. Will be back!!

Brianna did such an amazing job with my five year old daughter. She was so sweet with her and gave her the cutest haircut with bangs! I've come a few times and the service is always wonderful and the hairstylists are so talented 🥰 Thanks, Brianna!

Had my hair done by Nicole for my niece's wedding. I needed an updo done and wasn't sure what to do, but she knew exactly what I wanted. . It came out so beautiful. I was totally amazed, and got so many compliments that night! I would recommend Nicole for all your hairstyle needs!!

Great experience! I went in for highlights and a haircut. The colorist did exactly what I asked for, cool blonde not warm. The girls were accommodating upon my entry, hanging my coat, getting me water and even offering a snack. The shampoo message was wonderful. Clean, up to date salon. The owner Katherine made sure I was happy on my way out the door. Pleasant experience all around!

I had the pleasure of Marina coloring my hair beautiful dark reddish violet, giving me long layers, glaze, & scalp massage. Marina is so kind, caring, & knowledgeable. She went above & beyond to make me beautiful! The owner, Katherine, very nice, caring, & knowledgeable, too. This was best salon visit I have ever experienced! So grateful from bottom of my heart for kindness & services provided. Best I have felt in nearly a year. I highly recommend Marina to all my friends & family. Thank you, beautiful Marina!

I would highly recommend this salon to anyone that asks. Everyone that works here is so sweet and I'm always happy with my hair. Nicole does a great job with everything from highlights, to my haircut to putting in pops of purple. The assistants are all great too, never had a better shampoo anywhere else. I never have to worry I'm going to get home and look in the harsh light of the bathroom and see I have a hair disaster on my hands (which has happened to me many times elsewhere!). I always leave confident that my hair looks good and will stay looking good! Thanks girls! -- Jackie

I'll start by saying the salon is recently renovated and absolutely immaculate. Everyone there was very friendly. I was asked by multiple people if I was comfortable...if I wanted coffee or something else to drink...which was nice. The stylist doing my hair was also really very sweet. That being said...i hate my hair. I made an appointment to have some greys covered and to get rid of some reddish/brassy-ness that was very noticable in daylight. I have (....I HAD....) dark brown hair. I told the stylist I wanted to stay with my dark brown but maybe lean toward a cooler ashier hew to address the brassy-ness...without it being grey or purple. She went with a color and then a glaze over that. When it was time to rinse, the girl shampooing my hair had to scrub pretty violently because there was dye on my face and all over my neck. When I got back to the chair and saw my hair it looked WAY darker than it usually does when it's wet but I thought perhaps it would lighten up after being blown out. Nope. I thought maybe it could just be the lighting playing tricks? Nope. I left with....jet...black...hair. Not only is it black...the way the stylist applied it around my face, I look like I have a wonky Frankenstein hair line and she also went all the way to the skin on the "baby hairs" on my neckline so I have black patches of dye on my neck. I paid $180...$240 after tips..just to have to go somewhere else and pay more to have it fixed. I will not be returning to Katherine Jon.

You are instantly greeted by charming front desk staff, by first name, who know exactly why you are there and what services you will be having. The entire staff leaves no detail unchecked. The wash and condition hair experience at the sinks are unparalleled and include a wonderful head massage and hot towel treatment. The salon is kept super clean and also provides wonderful amenities like coffee, chai lattes and snacks at no charge. Every single employee of this salon has pride of purpose and gives 110% to their work and their customers. We use Tiffany for our color, cuts, blowouts and formal events and her work is consistently outstanding. Her attention to detail, her mastery of color and its application (whether covering gray or a full head of highlights) is top notch. Her haircuts enable your hair to move and shape and frame your face perfectly. This salon is a must for all your hair needs, curly or straight, gray or brunette, short bob or long layers. I highly recommend booking an appointment here - you'll never go anywhere else again!

I very rarely write a review if I do I’m getting compensated or I got some extraordinary service and I received the latter . I have not visited a salon in a couple years due to the pandemic and my first time back did not disappoint. I received a 10 star hair spa experience. Booking was friendly and easy with Lindsey. When I showed up a few minutes late for my appt. they didn’t bump me or make an issue they were very understanding and cordial. Eric my stylist took the time to listen to my concerns and wants for my hair and did a wonderful job educating me and then be giving me a color and great cut. Marina who washed my hair was not only kind but just made me feel relaxed. In the end the price was jaw dropping. It was very affordable which you have to appreciate during a time when everywhere prices are high. As a black woman it’s always scary trying to find a salon that caters to your hair texture and makes you feel comfortable. I can’t say enough great things. If you want a salon that is respectful and cares about giving you “your” best hair then the place is Katherine Jon.
