Ms. Miami is AWESOME 4 SURE 4 SURE!!! She always puts me to sleep with her calming shop presence as well as relaxing interlocking and crochet techniques. The washing is process as well is relaxing, revitalizing, and refreshing; I feel like I have a whole new head after the wash! I feel like a new man after my locs are done as well. Her hands are GOLDEN! She also has a rose water, lavender water as well as lemongrass waters to spray over your hair. She has fresh cold pressed juices as well. KEEP IT LOCKED is A1!!!

I started coming here in 2016 and Miami started my locs no gel no beeswax just all natural ingredients and I moved outta town for a few years for my job and came right back to her and shes even better and now she has a cold pressed juice line and it's amazing! Glad to be back to where I started! I tried a few but like they say " There's No Place Like Home"

Miami is by far the best loctician I have been to in Atlanta and I’ve been here 10yrs she greets you the moment you step in and it’s such a warm welcoming ambiance her scalp massage will put you to sleep the conversation flows and yes she actually does maintenance she tightened a few of my locks I couldn’t even tell it was ever thin 10/10 service I will be returning she took care of me the entire time

The spa itself was beautiful, with a beautifully maintained atmosphere that set a high standard for relaxation. Ms. Miami conducted a thorough examination of my hair and provided thoughtful recommendations on the best products for my needs. She then guided me to a shampoo bowl equipped with a comfortable lounge seat, enhancing the overall experience. The shampoo service was exceptional, lasting over 20 minutes, during which steam was applied for an added sense of luxury. Additionally, I received a facial treatment during the shampoo process, which was a delightful bonus. Our conversation was both engaging and insightful, as Ms. Miami shared her aspirations for the spa and offered valuable advice for growing my own business. Her skillful time management and delicate touch made the entire process exceptionally pleasant, often making me unaware of her precise work as she corrected parts of my hairstyle. I just got my hair shampooed and deep conditioned with the steamer plus she sprayed my hair down with the rose water (the absolute best), I must say a weight has been lifted off my scalp😆 Miami massaged my scalp my hair is so soft and it feels so good. I will definitely recommend Miami for any of your natural hair needs.

Miami is the best loctician in Atlanta. I wear my natural hair and have been getting my hair braided by different people in the city for a few years and Miami has the best prices and does the best work. She has a lot of styles in her repertoire and the hair treatment is next level. The two strands with natural hair (my style) I asked for are always executed to perfection!

First of all, Miami is the owner and she also makes juices for her clients that have nutrients that support healthy hair! I am so impressed with her quality of doing re twists for locs. I used to go to someone else and Miami does a better job and is way faster. She’s extremely kind and really cares about her customers and listens to what they want. I don’t usually do reviews of businesses good or bad but let me tell you about Miami and Keep it Locked!! Miami is such a wonderful loctitian. This was my first experience with her! She was very professional and kept me laughing the whole time! My hair is very soft and kinda hard to lock but she took her time and educated me on how to maintain my locks. She even has nutritional juices to help your hair grow and to combat dry scalp! I definitely recommend her for all your natural needs! I WILL be back 😍😍😍

I had my locs for 2 years and then decided to go back natural. It took some time to gently take them down, but I’m so happy with the results. After the loc comb out, Miami did a FRESH avocado treatment and thorough detox and cleanse. My hair is bouncy and healthy.

I love Miami! I started my hair loc journey in 2020 and tried different locticians. I came across Miami’s flyer in the gym and booked an appointment the beginning of 2024. Miami was professional and answered my questions thoroughly so I could make the best selection for my first appointment. Her salon was comfortable and private and I enjoyed that one on one attention. The style she chose for me was perfect for my very busy lifestyle. I had never been versatile with my hair styles but I trusted Miami’s years of expertise in helping me select the styles that fit my lifestyle and occasions. Each time I visited her salon I was met with fresh ideas and fresh juices! Love the holistic atmosphere and love along with her wonderful customer service skills. I am excited about attracting a Loctician that combines health and wellness along with creative styles and hair care. I love, Love, LOVED working with Miami!!! I researched a lot of places in hopes of getting my locs combined but when I came across Keep It Locked something stood out to me. It was the variety of services offered that only focused on loc care that drew me in and I’m so glad I made this decision. Not only did she do an excellent job on my locs but I was able to get filtered waters and rosemary oil, one water was infused with rose and the other with lavender. I’ve had rose water from the Caribbean Farmers Market on Covington Highway but it’s nothing compared to what Miami is offering, I’m never going back to that because it was thick and oily whereas the hairsprays I got from Keep it Locked feel much lighter and more like water. As for my hair she steamed my locs during my shampoo and included a scalp massage. Then for the combination process, she gently loosens each loc and crocheted them together to make two locks into one. It took quite a while but most good things do and it was very worth it. I didn’t want someone to rope twist my hair and call it combined or God forbid cut my hair out then reinstall it leaving locs behind 😬. I know that’s fine for other people but not for me and that’s why I did my research before starting this process. I must also mention the fresh pressed juices I get during my appointments too! They are soooo good 😮‍💨. I usually don’t get hype about juices because they are processed and full of sugars but Miami’s are naturally sweetened by the combination of fruits she chooses for each drink. She’s going to tell you the Clean Lean is the best one but I promise you it’s the Miami Heat lol. That drink is the goat for real. I did get the citrus detox drink as well but I didn’t realize it would taste like grapefruit and when I let Miami know I didn’t like it, she offered to make a green detox for me instead so I was grateful for that. It’s much better in my opinion but my fiancé preferred the citrus detox instead. I just had to go for it because during my appointment I couldn’t help but notice how clear Miami’s skin was and her hair looked so healthy, and when I asked what she does she told me about the juices and detox and working out. So about two days after I drank the detox (because I honestly didn’t work out or drink enough water) I woke up to a lot of inflammation and bloating gone from my body. It was pretty impressive honestly. I didn’t expect to leave this long of a review but that’s how voice typing goes and obviously I had a lot to say about this place lol. Overall I would highly recommend going to Keep it Locked if your locs mean more to you than just a hairstyle. She really takes care of my hair from the inside out and I can’t imagine going anywhere else now that I know what a real loctician can do.

I was referred to Miami's salon by two close friends, both of whom have been loyal customers for nearly a decade. As someone with microlocs, I reached out to Miami to inquire about the appropriate appointment to select from her website. After a brief conversation, she advised me to choose the "interloc" option priced at $200, which I did. My appointment was scheduled for 3/28/24 at 10 am, and upon arrival, I was looking forward to meeting Miami for the first time. She briefly examined my hair before proceeding to wash and hydrate it, which was a pleasant experience. However, it was during this time that she informed me I had selected the wrong appointment, meaning the price and time frame were incorrect. Despite this, she graciously agreed to honor the originally quoted price, for which I was appreciative and intended to tip generously. Unfortunately, my satisfaction quickly diminished as the appointment progressed. Miami made multiple phone calls and even ordered food for herself before beginning work on my hair. When she finally started, she only managed to complete one row of about 7 locs before informing me that she had to stop at 1 pm. This abrupt halt was particularly frustrating as the limited time frame was not communicated to me earlier due to the incorrect service selection. To make matters worse, Miami suggested rescheduling for Sunday, completely overlooking the fact that it was Easter. When I pointed this out, she offered Monday as an alternative. I had hoped to have my hair done in time for Easter Sunday, a fact that seemed to be overlooked entirely. Overall, my experience with Miami's services left much to be desired. While I appreciate her willingness to honor the initially quoted price, the lack of professionalism, poor time management, and disregard for my scheduling preferences were disappointing. As someone who values both quality service and customer care, I cannot say that I would recommend Miami's salon to others. Part 2 coming!!

Imagine you wash your natural hair before fully detangling it wake up to a tangled, knotted and matted mess? I was at my wits end, sitting on my couch with my hair marinating in de-tangler and conditioner, with several plastic caps on looking crazy!😔 I thought I was going to have to cut my hair. I started searching the internet for a detangling comb out service and came upon a listing for Keep It Loc’d Natural Hair Spa. I sent an email explaining my situation waited patiently for a response. After a few hours, I received a response from Ms. Miami telling me that YES, she could help me. OMG..I started crying.😪 Ms. Miami was so understanding and accommodating. She immediately sent me the link to schedule my appointment. Fast forward to my appointment, a couple of days later, Ms. Miami’s gifted hands saved me from cutting off my hair! She exhibits her passion for taking care of natural hair with her knowledge and patience. She recently just started a juicing business. I had the Just Beet It flavor and it was sooo good. I look forward to tasting the other flavors too. Long story short, Ms. Miami is THE TRUTH! 🔥 I’m so glad I found her.

This is my first time coming, Ms.Miami was very helpful! She let me know how to keep my hair healthy and growing long: drinking lots of water, spraying natural rose water, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables! She even makes all-natural juices for her clients. I tasted the Miami heat and just beet it juices, they were so delicious 😋 .She recommended that I use a filtered shower head to make my hair soft (she uses filtered water at her shop). Her self-made shampoo (rosemary mint) smells so good and moisturizes my locs! I love that she promotes everything thing natural from hair to skin to food choices. Amazing personality and creativity 👌! Not to mention my loc petals slayed 🤪.

I had a conference in Atlanta and was in desperate need of a loc retwist, so I started calling every place that was open to see if they could squeeze me in, and Miami, already being booked up for the day, hear the desperation in my voice and told me she got me. Not only did she give me the retwist, but she also did a full consultation for my hair and scheduled an appointment to get my locs crocheted and taught me all about my hair and how to take care of it. Before her, I didn’t know what to do and just winged it. If you are looking for someone who takes pride in both their work and her relationships with those who enter their business this is the place to go, 6 stars!

Keep It Locked is by far the best, most professional and enjoyable salon experience I've ever had. To say nothing of the beautiful personality of Miami, the owner, her expertise was immediately apparent! The proprietary detox felt incredible, the steam moisture treatment left my locs feeling soft and healthy, and after 5 hours of interlocking and crocheting neither her technique nor her energy waned! She was truly concerned with doing everything she knew how to honor my hair and myself. Plus, the salon itself had an incredible peaceful/loving vibe. 10/10 would recommend
