I got a haircut for like medium-longish hair for a guy. It was quite good as in exactly what I wanted and continue to come here to get haircuts. Kelly is a cool person that provides a great service and is fun to talk to. I recommend this place.

I had a great experience with Kelly. He has a great space, calming presence, and a unique approach to creating that experience. Overall, very happy with the results, including as importantly, the cut and color. He also uses locally-made 'clean' products from Loma, one of my favorites. Can't recommend him high enough.

So much more than just an amazing haircut!! Kelly's whole mindful experience is like a mini retreat/spa session; it's the opposite of the typical loud & stimulus-overload salon experience- instead Kelly provides sound healing. He starts with a sound meditation and a relaxing head and shoulder massage! Kelly creates his own music and incorporates that into the experience (if you want) and he makes the meditation approachable even for those who have not practiced mindfulness before- he's an artist on so many levels! Ohhh AND Kelly does such a great job on my hair! From foiling, to thinning it out, he always listens to just what I want. His Loyal Heights studio is beautiful, there are so many windows and instead of staring at myself in the mirror for hours while getting my hair done, I get to look out into the green space and listen to the birds. I look forward to my haircut every time and leave feeling so rejuvenated! In addition Kelly is just a very kind person, as an abstract painter myself Kelly has allowed me to display my art in his space and he's so easy to work with :) Beyond grateful that I found Kelly several years ago!

Just finished our first haircut with Kelly for our 3.5 year old and it was awesome! No tears for the first time ever, and our kiddo even smiled and said thank you at the end. Highly recommend!

Fabulous experiences with Kelly at his salon. He offers outstanding services for cuts and ammonia free color. His salon is private, extremely clean and he is a most kind and thoughtful person, in addition. I have used Kelly Daring Mindful Style a few times, both during COVID and before. He creates a beautiful, peaceful environment, allowing a rich and relaxing experience. Both the cut and coloring (highlights) have been great. I tend to let a lot of time go between colorings, and he does a great job of creating a beautiful blend that grows out really well. He is a one-man-show, which means that you are the only one in the room with him, which during the pandemic makes me feel extra safe, as I know that I am only being exposed to one person, and he is only exposed to his customers. Masks and hand sanitizing is required, and he asks anyone who has been sick to not come in. I would definitely recommend using Kelly's services!

I’m so happy I found Kelly. I’d gone to other stylists before I found Kelly, both in Seattle and other cities. Now I’ll never go anywhere else. I started to get grays in my late 20s ...The color looks sooooo natural - it’s perfect every time, I’m not sure how he does it. I’m always so happy when I leave. And it’s a treat for me, with the bowls and massage. I don’t get my nails done or any other beauty services so this is where I’m ok spending for amazing, lasting quality hair color and cuts, and a few hours of relaxation in his bright plant filled studio. Try Kelly and you won’t be able to go anywhere else!

Kelly is a wonderful stylist, and the only person who has successfully cut my sensory sensitive kiddo’s hair. We are taking very strict COVID precautions and have felt very comfortable going to him since he has his own private space. The space is very clean, well ventilated and masks are worn at all times.

Kelly is amazing! He listens to what you want and will offer honest feedback. He is absolutely awesome at cutting my curly hair and gives amazing scalp massages as well. The space is clean and calming which I prefer over noisy, crowded salons. He also has a small, well curated selection of hand made items from local artists now so I love being able to find unique, locally made jewelry and gifts while I'm sitting in the chair.

Kelly is not only a talented stylist but provides a wonderful experience. He has given me several drastic cuts, including my current one, and I have been thrilled with the changes. He also uses natural products that don't irritate my scalp, and I am pretty sensitive. The optional head massage is always delightful as well!
