My appointment was at 9am. Service didn't get started until nearly 10am. I got boho braids. No big deal. I did not get a choice on braid size, the style was way too full for my liking. And the worse part is eating while doing my hair. I couldn't help feeling disgusted that the woman was literally eating handheld foods while doing my hair. I wanted my braids to my shoulders and regardless that she was told of the size I wanted she still did what she wanted to do, the braids are nearly to my butt. I don't argue and just decided to pay my debt and leave. 1 and done for me 💯💯💯 I love the neatness of the parts and the 6 hours of service but that's about it. I am grateful that my hair is done

I walked in for a wig braid down (basically cornrows going back) Kenie called her niece and I’m grateful! Braids look good! I’ll go back! They seem like really nice people 😊

Highly skilled braiding stylist. I have very short 4c hair and she was able to do knotless braids easily. Be clear about what you want, they can do it.

It's very discouraging that I had to write this however if you're looking for a great service the most you'll get from this place is selective service. I made an appointment at this place for 11:00 I made it on time however Kenie was thirty minutes late. I wanted to simply dye some greys in my hair and when she got to the location I told her please don't use any ammonia on my hair. She told me she wouldn't be using any ammonia in my hair and started to rush and put a bunch of product in my hair while talking on the phone and rushing repeating that she had a 12:00 appt. By the time she was done I had a bunch of the product soaked into the outline of my hair and dripping on the side of my face she told me that it would wash off as soon as I got home. The product she used in my hair damaged it and removed patches of skin on my face and the outline of my forehead while I was trying to wash it off. She clearly lied because products that are ammonia free wouldn't do that. My conclusion was to bald my head because of Kenies inability to pay attention to detail and incompetent for trying to make a fast buck funny she charged me 40 and I tipped her after she got the money she hurried me out her store. Never again.

Ms. Kenie and her staff are top notch braiders. They have been braiding my hair on and off for the past 7 years, and I have never been disappointed. Whenever I’m out, I’m often asked about my braider. The braiders are super fast, courteous, and my braids have always come out extremely neat. The salon is clean and very welcoming. The most important thing…Ms. Kenie cares about the health of her client’s hair. My edges have remained intact and I’ve never experienced any hair loss after taking my hair down. You will not be disappointed by coming to this salon.

She cut my locs without me asking? And she fell asleep with my daughter underneath the dryer and it was hot and her workers had to wake her up, made us pay extra

Do not go here!! Save your money. They do not know how to do braids, twists, sew-in and you will have to take down your hair after 2 days. Its not worth it. Ps. these 5 star reviews are lies.

I loved how fast it was. I didn't want to have to sit all day, but the girls were on it. Two girls braided my hair and it was not as long as I thought it would be. Kenie and the other staff were very welcoming and kind. This was my first time there and I will definitely go back.

Good locs services are hard to come by. I wish I still lived in the state and didn't have to leave Kenie's Beauty Palace as my place to get my locs together. Always excellent work and left feeling like a new man!

I went here to start my dreadlocks I only have half of my hair due to the sides are faded I asked her how much it would be to start she told me $80 and coiled my hair and said that the next time I come back she would crochet them in which means the first time she knew that what she did was not going to work and I spent $80 for nothing went back to her two weeks later and she charge me $70 to crochet them in so she took my $80 knowingly that what she was did would not Take and would fall right out witch it did RIP OFF Rip OFF Rip OFF

I've been to Kenie's multiple times and have never been disappointment. She does a great job on my hair every time. Furthermore, I love how flexible she is in regards to scheduling appointments. Highly recommended!

One thing to flake on me, my child is a whole different story. Kenie was amazing, 3 weeks ago she took my daughter in last minute and braided her hair for her fourth birthday and she treated us like family. She went out of the country and referred me to somebody else at her shop and this morning they decided to cancel last minute when we showed up at the door. For the last three days I have been trying to get a price, they have never responded to give me a price. She said she would reach out to Kenie for a price, two days later I follow up and still nothing. She then called me yesterday to see if I can come in early, as if we are on call. I already told her multiple times I cannot come in early on a Friday unless you would like to take us at 5:30 pm. At that time she confirmed at the 10 a.m. appointment for this morning. We get there, get out of the car and she tells us as we are approaching the door that she needs to cancel. At that time she's already taking in another client. Double booked or nah? She said can we come back later? I asked what time and she did not even have a time. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. Not sure why she thought it was okay to cancel with us at the door, not sure why she did not text ahead of time but we will never return unless Kenie is there and even then, I think it's best we never return. In my opinion do not rely on this shop unless you are dealing with Kenie.

When I called my regular....she said that she couldn't do my son's hair, after making several phone calls and of course, gotta make an appointment, can't just walk in due to convid-19, that business called me back and say we got 1 open for you at 2p, I went there and they did an amazing job with my son's hair and I would definitely go back in a heartbeat, I would give then 10 stars, instead of 5.
