Haley is the best hair stylist I have ever had (truly). Kenna Kunijo was recommended to me by a co-worker, and I'm so glad I set up an appointment with Haley. I've been seeing her for around six months, and her professionalism and skills are truly unmatched. She makes me feel comfortable and confident every time I leave the salon. I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and despite always wanting to have soft highlights, I have only attempted them once (at another salon almost four years ago). The result was horrific, so I have stayed away from bleach ever since. However, after getting so many great cuts and root touch-ups from Haley, I had 110% trust in her that she would execute my vision to perfection. Haley took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and the results absolutely did not disappoint!! I am so in love with my hair and can't wait to show it off at my wedding in the Spring. Haley is so professional and relatable--I always love seeing her and catching up. She is truly a gem. I will follow her wherever she goes! Thank you for being the best, Haley!!! See you in 6 weeks! :)

I have been going to Kenna Kunijo for just over a year now. The transformation that my hair has been through makes me want to cry .. big, wet, happy tears! Kenna doesn’t just cut, color & style, she consults with you and focuses on rehabilitation of your hair. I used to get compliments all the time when I was younger about my beautiful, long brown hair. I’m now in my late 40s (gulp) and I had hormonal hair loss as well as breakage from heat styling. ALL of that is now in check. My hair is thicker, healthier, silkier! My hair may not be long anymore, and it may frame a slightly more wrinkled face, but I am getting compliments again. And Kenna isn’t the only rockstar at this salon. She trains so many other talents stylists to take great care of their clients. Kayla recently cut my hair when Kenna wasn’t available and she was equally incredible. Thank you to the whole team at KK! I have so much more confidence and I finally love my hair again.

I’ve been seeing Krista at Kenna Kunijo for almost 5 years since I moved to Charlotte! When I first came in my hair was so ridiculously long because I could not find anyone who I could trust to do a good job. I found her and haven’t gone anywhere since! Love her so much for both color and cut. I have very dark hair and Krista helped me go blonde at one point over a couple sessions - my hair never felt damaged or dry. She actually does wonders with color! I never leave disappointed :) highly recommend

When I lived in Charlotte, this was my favorite place to go. Everyone was so friendly and both women who cut my hair were so good - some of the best haircuts I've ever gotten! Unfortunately I do not live in Charlotte anymore - but I recommend this place to everyone I know! The free bang trims were a lifesaver!!

I can’t recommend Tu enough! She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to really understand your hair and what you’re looking for. She’s also so friendly and easy to talk to, making the entire experience enjoyable. What really stands out is how gentle she is with my hair—my appointments are always so relaxing. I followed Tu from her previous salon to Kenna Kunijo because of her fantastic work. She is detail oriented with a gentle touch, and makes sure she puts the health of your hair first. Her knowledge about various hair textures and styles was greatly appreciated and Im always impressed by her ability to make recommendations for any issue you might be having with your hair! I relocated from NJ a couple of years ago; my most important priorities were finding good doctors and a hairstylist. It’s no exaggeration to state that Tu is incredibly talented, creative, adaptable, and more importantly, she promotes overall hair health. I appreciate that she is always looking for new and innovative styles and consistently trains to stay current. She listens, asks questions, is thoughtful and thorough. I trust her completely and allow her freedom to style my hair as she chooses. She is an AMAZING COLORIST and has a gift for making each client look uniquely stunning. I consider myself very lucky to have found her. The employees at Kenna Kunijo are so kind and welcoming. The studio itself is warm and inviting. Parking is easy to find.

I’ve been seeing Tu for a while now, I followed her from another salon because she’s just that good! Tu is incredibly patient, easygoing, and truly knowledgeable about hair. She takes the time to understand exactly what I want and always delivers. The salon itself is also fantastic – it’s clean, comfortable, and has a relaxed atmosphere. My stylist Tu recently joined Kenna Kunijo. I’ve been to the salon a couple of times now. It is cozy and welcoming environment. As a plus it’s very close to where I live. Tu is an outstanding stylist—she is talented, kind, and intuitive. Her attention to detail and her ability to understand what clients want and don’t want is a gift. She is as talented at color as she is with a cut—and she does an amazing blow out.

When I moved away from Charlotte, the only thing I was really devastated about losing was access to my hairdresser and friend, Krista (and of course Kenna, who is how I found Krista in the first place). In fact, I missed her so much I have flown to Charlotte from Florida a number of times just to get my hair done and say hi. The salon is obviously so beautiful and everyone on staff is lovely. In my 34 years, I have never had someone pay more attention to what my hair needed and be so real about the process. Anyone who complains about prices at this salon simply does not understand the level of skill and service that each of their stylists possess. They have an extensive training program and the owners work hard to ensure continued education is a pillar of the business for all. Truthfully, after comparing Kenna Kunijo and Krista to other places over the years before and after I lived locally, I would pay double just to have access to that again. Ladies, I love ya and wish only the best for your business and careers and hope to see you soon.

I’m usually not great at knowing exactly what I want for my hair, but Alondra made the process so easy. She took the time to really listen and communicate with me, even going the extra mile to ask for more inspiration photos to make sure we were on the same page. She also recommended products and gave me tips on how to style my hair, which I really appreciated. I’m excited to come back and keep experimenting with shorter styles, all thanks to the fantastic experience she created. Highly recommend Alondra!
