Based on the reviews and new to the area, I booked an appointment with excitement! Unfortunately, my experience was not as fulfulling as others. I have thin fine hair and to most hair stylist it can be a challenge to cut. After sharing nightmarish pictures of a cut 3 years ago, I gave specific instructions NOT to layer my hair. As you can see in the picture, the bottom is BUTCHERED! One side is longer than the other side, the layers absolutely destroyed the weight at bottom. It took me 3 years to grow out my hair. I DID have weight at the bottom! Now, I have to either cut it off or just DEAL! If I want to keep the length I have... which now looks haggard, it will take years to grow. Grow, then trim, grow --then trim. She literally said she did not cut the layers and blamed it on the cut from 3 years ago! If you decide to give her a shot, BE VERY SPECIFIC - AND I DO EMPHASIS....SPECIFIC!

I am so happy to have discovered Kim several months ago! She's done an incredible job of working around some hair issues, and my hair hasn't looked this good in years. Highly recommended!

The best! Kim is great with color and cuts and she is personable. I have been a client for about 4 years and wouldn’t go to anyone else. So glad I found her. She is amazing. I never have to feel anxious about how my hair is going to look after I go see her bc it’s always exactly what I asked for and styled flawlessly.

Kim is an excellent stylist. She listens to her clients wishes & offers advice when asked..She has given me the best haircut I have had in years! I got a precision cut that has been so easy to work with and on top of that Kim is so sweet in a great location. .

After having 2 hair appointments canceled by a supposedly elite shop in Crabtree, I Googled "Award winning hair stylist" and Kim's salon came up. From the beginning, she understood what I wanted to do with my hair which is not always what happens. Kim provided low lights and highlights which were extremely natural looking. She has also helped me grow out a short cut when I wanted to go to a little longer style and my hair looked great through the change. I recently went to a wedding in the northeast and had many compliments on my color and cut. Kim is the best stylist and has a great personality! So glad I found her!!

Fairly recent transplant to the Raleigh area. I had 2 bad hair experiences in a row looking for a new stylist in the area. Kim came up in my search so I booked an appointment thinking, "this is the last chance" before I go back to New York for all of my haircuts... Kim was an extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and experienced stylist! She not only fixed my disaster hair (color and haircut itself), but has now become my forever stylist. Kim is a master magician. I came in to her with dark color that I had been doing myself out of a box. I had been at this for 2 years. It kept getting darker and darker. And I was going gray so it was just plain awful. Within one sitting she transformed me into a beautiful lady. Thank you Kim for helping me love my hair again. You are amazing!

Kim was able to execute a cut and style that satisfied all my wishes. There isn’t an adequate superlative that does service to Kim’s talent and ability. I can’t remember ever walking out of a salon perfectly happy, and not having to wait weeks for a cut to grow out to be satisfied! Kim is a premier hair artist, 2nd to none!

Today I came to Kim’s salon and got one of my very best cuts and beautiful, natural-looking balayage. I can’t be more pleased. Kim cares deeply about everything she does and I felt that in how she interacted with me in the whole process. She is very professional (easy appointment process and very responsive), and she listens to what I’d imagine to begin with. She works every detail beautifully on my hair (including advising me how to care for color-treated hair, what to do in future months, etc.). She did so much more than what I expected when I walked into her hair studio, and really appreciate seeing her taking such great care of her customer and bringing the best out of my request. Look forward to come again.

I went to Kim, for my first cut/color, one year post chemo. She is amazing! First, her space is very nice and relaxing. In the loft, you get a more private experience - without sitting in the middle of a busy loud salon, where all of the stylists and guests are crammed together. After a consultation, she discussed what she thought we should do. She worked very efficiently, and was super kind and friendly. She used an organic color line, for my gray root coverage and babylights, with zero smell or irritation (but also has traditional formulas). In what seemed like no time, we were ready for blow dry, style, and dry cut. Her skill is amazing! I was kind of expecting a starter style, to get me through this weird stage of chemo regrowth; but left with fabulous color and an awesome cut! I booked future appts, with Kim. She is amazing! She takes pride in her craft, and it very much shows when you leave her chair! I very highly recommend her, for cuts and color!

Kim is fantastic! When I moved to the area four years ago, I worried I wouldn't be able to find someone who could work with both naturally curly hair and ridiculously sensitive skin. Kim can do both. She uses an organic line and can flat iron like nobody's business. She's also professional, funny, and her salon space is nice and private. I highly recommend!

There is not enough good things I can say about Kim. It took me awhile to find someone that uses organic products and it was truly a blessing to have met her. I was looking pretty scraggly when I finely got to her and by the time she got done - WOW!!! In all the years I have had my hair done and cut, hands down, she has been the best. She is kind, caring and definitely knows what she is doing. You can put your complete trust in her!!!!

After seeing the amazing work Kim did with my wife's hair I decided to stop in for a simple trim as I am growing my hair out and it had been a few years since my last cut. Kim provided a good cut with minimal upselling all the while maintaining a cheerful attitude. After looking at what had been done I went back a second time for a balayage just to mix things up so I have something more than thin brown hair. Kim was attentative, reviewed reference images with me, and worked to create something that met my reference images while fitting my style as well. We will certainly be returning!

I had never gone beyond a normal hair cut and I finally transformed my look by getting a balayage style. I am raving about Kim's service! Not only is she a fabulous hair stylist, professional, and has an acute eye for what the final product would look like, but she is also welcoming and friendly! Her studio is top-notch clean and her salon environment is open and bright. I put my faith and trust into Kim because I knew she would do a wonderful job! I absolutely recommend, at the very least, booking a consultation with her!

I have very dark and wiry Asian hair and am very wary about getting my hair professionally colored. I spent a long time searching for a hair stylist who I could trust to color/bleach my hair. I found Kim and read many great reviews about how talented she is. I put my trust in her and she did not disappoint. I got a trim and a balayage. It was absolutely what I wanted. She did amazing. She also went above and beyond with giving me tips and recommendations to ensure that my hair would stay healthy, strong, and keep color so that I don't have to come in often. I was very impressed with how much she cared about her clients and can see why there are so many great reviews. I loved her so much I recommended my husband to get his hair colored and cut by her. I will continue going to Kim for my hair needs!

I have been going to Kim for almost 5 years now. She is always talented, friendly and professional. She listens and makes my hair look great every time. She is always very responsive to my calls/request for appointments and willing to work with me on times since my job is not at all flexible. Go see her - you won't be disappointed!
