I’ve been coming here for years with only the absolute best experiences. For some insane reason I decided to try a new salon.. terrible idea. I came back to Kinloch with a chop job and Melissa worked MIRACLES on my hair. I’ll never go anywhere else. Kinloch is the absolute best salon in NYC.

Best salon in NYC! I get my hair colored by Courtney & hair cut by Zachary and each time I wonder why I ever went somewhere else? My haircut by Zachary looked SO good I got multiple compliments within hours of leaving the salon. I also have super stubborn grays and Courtney not only made them disappear but made my whole head of hair look so healthy and summery like I asked. Plus they are all just so friendly and fun, it feels like I am hanging out with my friends when I am there ;) I've wasted my time getting my hair done at other salons and always feel "meh" about it when I leave, but when I leave Kinloch I feel amazing. Thank you!!

I’ve lived in NYC for almost 20 years and could never find someone to successfully highlight my hair until meeting Courtney at Kinloch. I’ve been everywhere and she is truly the best!

I’ve gotten my haircut here a few times here after struggling to find a place I’ve liked in the neighborhood. Zach is really great and gives a phenomenal haircut. Both my wife and I go to him, and are repeat customers. A neighborhood small business with great customer service!

I had an absolutely wonderful haircut and conversation with Zach - he was so warm and welcoming. He really made me feel confident about changing up my hairstyle. He was so friendly and supportive, even offering some Instagram account recommendations to help me learn how to better cut my own bangs. I got layers, angles and a bang trim for $130 which felt very reasonable for the neighborhood.

After years of seeing the same hairdresser I saw some great reviews here and decided to give it a shot! I sat with Tressa for a cut and a gloss/glaze, she took me pretty dark and I am absolutely in love! She gave me a great haircut and exactly what I asked for. I’ll definitely be returning. Bonus points for the barber shop talk vibes.

First time at Kinloch yesterday - I got a quick bang trim from Zach and could not be happier with the result. Even though he only trimmed my bangs, Zach somehow managed to refresh my whole look. I originally got this cut from a trendy salon in Hackney in London a couple of months ago, but with just a bang trim, Zach blew that London cut outta the water. He was also super lovely and kind -- as was Courtney the owner. Highly recommend and will def be back

I had my hair cut by Zach recently and it was a lovely experience! Firstly, making the appointment with him was quick and easy via their online booking system. I appreciate not having to call a salon for a stylist’s availability! When I walked in, Zach greeted me with a warm smile & he seemed just as excited as I was for my haircut. I showed him a couple pictures as reference & he confidently delivered. Zach made me feel very cute with my new look! Will be going back.

I started to get my hair cut with Zach a little over a year ago. Let me tell you… this 👏 man 👏 can 👏 cut 👏 hair 👏!!! I receive so compliments after every cut. As long as I’m in NY, he will be my go to. Seriously does not disappoint.

I've been going to Kinloch Salon for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say. Zach is amazing - I started out as a short hair model and am now a client. He's a talented stylist and kind person. I usually go for a pixie-style and always get compliments on his cuts.

I’ve been coming to Kinloch for YEARS for cut and color services and everyone is so so great. Also LOVE that they use Oribe products here! I recently got my hair cut by Zach for the first time and and he was so kind, attentive and precise and gave me exactly what I asked for. Could not be happier with the cut. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to this salon for the last three years and receive the most gorgeous cuts from Melissa. She is not only such a talented stylist but such a sweet and kind person and I enjoy my time chatting with her in the chair. I used to live in Brooklyn but now I even drive in from Long Island just to get my haircut with her. I’m giving 4 stars only because the salon cancellation policy has been slightly difficult with my schedule which makes it a bit tougher to plan in advance an appointment with their now 48 hr policy which used to be 72hrs due to COVID. I understand why they do this as a small business but it can make it hard to comfortably plan ahead for an appointment. But overall love the salon and my services received.

I’ve been going to this salon for over four years, and the service has been on the decline. I made an appointment for today and when I arrived they told me my appointment was for a month from now which I definitely did not make. When they realized this they didn’t offer any apology or resolution — Really unprofessional. They lost a customer.

Melissa is absolutely amazing! (I have even traveled from Chicago to get my hair cut by her). She makes my hair look perfect every time, even though it's curly and fine and somewhat difficult to deal with. She also cut my roommate's wavy thick hair and it looked great!! The salon is nice and it's easy to schedule an appointment by calling.

Zach Manning is FANTASTIC! I am asked multiple times a week about my haircut, even months after one of his razor cuts. Amazing attention to detail, great environment, highly recommend!

Zach is the very best! He listens to what you want in a haircut but he’s also really great at making realistic suggestions. I’ve been going to him for a while and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair like I do with Zach. He just gets it! AND I always leave Kinloch feeling so cute because he’s also amazing at styling!! Thanks Zach, see you next time!

Zachary is a hair maestro! He not only listened attentively to what I had in mind but also executed a fantastic razor cut that has grown out beautifully. I can only give 5 stars but Mackenzey deserves 10! I was nervous in deciding to cut my super long hair that has been my life long security blanket. I felt at ease the second I walked in and sat in the chair. She knew exactly what to do and I’ve now had the best haircut of my life. The staff and experience in booking, checking in, and beyond were easy and I was treated with such kindness. Will be recommending Mackenzey & Kinloch to all of my friends. Super cute hair salon, welcoming environment, and easy scheduling. Courtney Lee does the best color - hands down. I’ve referred a bunch of friends here and now they are all regulars too. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my highlights.

Naturally, I have VERY dark brown hair, but have been blonde for the last few years thanks to Jess. She made sure to lift my hair at a good pace, and my hair still gets compliments daily. The salon also only uses Oribe, which is incredible. The whole staff is so friendly + welcoming. Can’t recommend this salon enough - they deserve 10 stars!
